This Rainbow egg was received by Allure on May 7th, 2005:

About Rainbows Rainbows occur when sunlight is refracted and then reflected by raindrops. The raindrops act like a prism, breaking the light into the colours of a rainbow, with red on the outer, and blue on the inner edge. On occasion the light can be reflected from both the front and back of the raindrops and two rainbows are visible, with the colour bands in the second opposite to those in the primary rainbow. Rainbows can be seen when the sun is shining and the air contains water spray or raindrops. This condition occurs frequently during or immediately following showers. Rainbows are always observed in the portion of the sky opposite the sun. The sun, the observer's eye, and the centre of the rainbow arc always fall on a straight line. Rainbows are important symbols of diversity, of hope, unity, peace, gay pride, and of yearning. To the Navajo people they bring good luck (it is certain that they bring rain!). Symbols of rainbows are used to act as guardians for the south, west and north sides of many Navajo sandpaintings.

Discovering the mystery beneath the rainbow,
discovering my little Wethkin, Rune.

I won a wonderful auction held by Pika-Bunny. ^_^ I was so excited when I heard that Pika-Bunny was having an auction ... and even more so when I realized it was for the Rainbow Wethkin! I am so happy with Rune.

p e r s o n a l i t y ;; Usually a fairly happy person. Can be easily angered and jealous. Enjoys cute and dangerous creatures. Has a large collection of pets and companions. Loves living by the water, in her overwater bungalow. Loves her little Rune Wethkin.

p e r s o n a l i t y ;; Rune is a hyperactive little Wethkin. Rune enjoys causing trouble and getting into mischeif. Oh, yes, and since Rune is a rainbow type, it absolutely loves taking upon all sorts of characteristics from both masculine and feminine. So Rune is referred to as both he and she, it doesn't really matter to Rune!
l i k e s ;; Other Wethkin. New potions to get ahold of. Hiding in mysterious places. Getting into trouble. Sweets. Fruity drinks. Colorful mini-umbrellas. Anything overly colorful. The ocean. Jewels and gems. ( And almost anything Rune can get her tail on! ) Edible presents .. Even if they aren't supposed to be edible. Laughter. Bubbles.

Items Adorning Rune
Shushu Berries
Allure was within Aven's home, the excitement of just discovering this amazing and beautiful Wethkin was still pumping through her body, giving her an extreme amount of energy. It was almost so much that she wasn't thinking, and yet was thinking of everything imaginable at once. She wanted to shower her new found friend with gifts, and everything that the little egg could have ever wanted. One thing that Allure stumbled upon was a few little berries that were located upon one of Aven's book shelves. She had noted that Aven's Wethkin, Calli, had been munching on such an item within the past, so she knew it had to be something good! Also, the aroma that the berries emitted was so enticing and inviting ... she wanted to share this with Rune. Taking some of the gorgeous berries, Allure set them next to Rune's egg, and walked away for a moment. Upon her return, she was surprised to find that the Wethkin was now moving! It was hovering up and down, slowly, but actively! Perhaps Rune was excited too!? Or did those shushu berries have something to do with it ... ?

Friends and Enemies
Rune's best friend, and first Wethkin that she ever met!
Caliidora belongs to Avenorell, who in turn is also Allure's
best friend. Avenorell introduced Allure to Wethkins, and
well, here we all are today! Rune really looks up to Calli.
She loves playing, swimming, cookies, and baking!
One of Rune's only enemies in this world. He is a mean,
crabby little crab. He enjoys snipping at Rune's tail and
snapping his claws too. Rune would love to smack him
around, and flick him with that rainbow tail, but Allure
won't allow it. But no one knows what Rune does when
Allure isn't looking.

ROLEPLAY
( May 08, 2005 - May 17, 2005 )... ::The rain had just started to end, it had been raining for a few days in a row now, which wasn''t unusual at all for springtime. Allure sighed to herself, as she pressed her nose against the cold window. Her warm breath fogged her view, and she pulled back, glancing at the ground. There lay a book she had been reading, it included much fantasy, mystery, magic and illusion .. she had just finished one chapter where a few of the characters had been informed that there were treasures at the end of every rainbow..:: Oh Aven, wouldn''t it be amazing to see what really IS at the end of one of those rainbows? Aven looked up and saw Allure look at her magic of nature book. "Yes, it would be. Want to take the oppurtunity?" Aven pointed to a large rainbow starting at her backyard. "Theres a... cloud at the end... Okay, now we have to see!" ::Allure blinked, and looked towards where Aven was pointing ... and a smile grew across her face, as her eyes completely lit up:: .. Wow! We must be so lucky to see a rainbow now ... ^^; .. Yes! Let''s go! ::She practically lunged at the door, grabbing Aven''s hand along the way..:: "AAAAAAAAAAAH!" Aven hit the ground with a thud, and got up, running really fast now. "GRAH! WE''RE ALMOST THERE!" Aven felt as if they''d never find the end until she saw the little cloud come nearer. "Calli! Aure!" She called for the puffs who ''poked'' at the cloud, some of the cloud moved away, but it still stayed there. "Allure, you try it." She poked it, and felt something solid. "Please try it, theres something IN that cloud." ::The rainbow was so bright and colorful, Allure had never seen anything so vibrant and beautiful in her life ... Excitement rushed through her veins as she, Aven, Calli and Aure were standing right before the cloud.. Nodding towards Aven, she closed her eyes, and slid her hand into the cloud. Biting her lower lip, she moved her fingers around .. and she felt something .. It was smooth, and small .. Blinking her eyes open, she pulled her hand out .. and saw a brilliant multicolored egg within her palm .. it looked as if it were part of the rainbow .. so amazing:: .. Aven ... ! L-look.. ! ::She stuttered .. her excitement was almost too much to control..:: "Allure... that''s not just ANY egg... it''s a wethkin egg!" Aven squealed and danced around, like her normal self. "Allure! You have a wethkin!" Aven pointed to the two she cared for and smiled. "It''s an adorable egg, and look! A little rainbow is swirled around the shell!" .. It''s a Wethkin!? ... ::She was absolutely shocked ... how lucky was she? First, to discover a rainbow ... to even catch it''s end ... and to find a wethkin?:: ... I shall name you .. Rune! A relic a good luck .. a resemblence of magic and mystery.. ^^; Plus that name is just so darned cute! ::She brought her palm up to her face, and gave the little egg a soft, nurturing kiss.. Then she bent down and held out her hand to the two other wethkin puffs..:: .. Calli, Aure .. Come meet Rune! heart 4laugh "When this eggu hatches, you will be best friends with it!" Aven giggles, and motions to Allure to follow her back in the house. "Food and water, must get some nourishment..." She smiled and laughed, running back home. "That name is so cute though." She opened the back door to her victorian house and led Allure to a little bench with a pillow to lay the egg on.

ROLEPLAY
( May 08, 2005 - May 17, 2005 )Mm..! I can''t wait! ::Allure squeaked with glee, her cheeks turning a bright pink color as she smiled oh~so~happily. Running back towards Aven''s house, she cuddled the egg tightly, keeping it safe. The little rainbow that curled around the egg coiled lightly around her pinky finger.:: Aw~! Thank you Aven.. ::Allure nodded, still blushing with happiness.. Following Aven inside.. she smiled at the pillow, and knelt down next to the bench, revealing the small egg and set it down gently upon the soft surface... Glancing around, she noticed a couple of small, pink berries that were set on the bookshelf. She had never noticed these before... Reaching out, she picked them up .. admiring their fragrant aroma. They smelled so delightful! Looking back towards her little egg, she decided she would give it some company with these little berries .. Setting them down next to her lovely Rune, she stood up, and looked out the window with a happy sigh, admiring the gorgeous rainbow that still glittered outside. Suddenly, she heard a light thumping on the pillow! Turning around, she saw to her surprise that her egg was hovering up and down!:: .. Whoa! Aven giggled, and that giggle turned into a roaring laugh. "So, you found my extra shu shu berries?" She handed Allure a plate, and pointed at what was laid out on the counter: Chow mein, white rice, ramen, and a few peices of sushi. "I have other food if you want, I just pulled out something and cooked it up, besides the sushi^^" She smiled and put a california roll, ramen, and some white rice onto her dish. "I gave the girls mints already." Aven smiled once again and took a bite of her ramen. "I think you are a very lucky person to find this rainbow wethkin, like I said before, Rune is adorable." ! ::Allure''s face turned a BRIGHT red color, as she started to laugh loudly as well..:: I guess I did! I thought Rune would like them because they smell so delicious - and it would appear as though Rune liked them very much! ..Mmm! ::Allure had completely forgotten that she hadn''t eaten that day.. she was caught up in all of the adventure and excitement of the moment, that when she thought about food her stomach errupted in an angry roar..:: Aven, you''re perfect! Thank you for the food - everything looks mouth watering! .. And how did you know I love sushi? ^___________^; ::She put a few more items onto her plate, smiling eagerly .. and Allure eagerly ate everything up, scarfing things down the moment they touched her fingertips. Her mouth was stuffed full of rice, when she nodded in extreme thanks to Aven for the food, and compliments on her Wethkin:: "Eh... Allure.... want a napkin?" Aven started to laugh, handed Allure a napkin and ate a california roll. "Yum!" She smiled and cleared her plate in 1 minute flat, then did the dishes. "Want to continue reading? I bet the rainbow stuff will be useful." She smiled and handed Allure the magic of weather book and started working on her book again. ::Allure blindly reached out for the napkin that Aven was offering, and halfway shoved it into her mouth, mistaking it for food, before she realized what it was.:: .. ! Heh, heh. ^^ Thank you..! ::She helped Aven to clean up a bit, thanking her repeatedly for the delicious meal..:: Oh! Yes I would love to read about rainbows, and learn as much as I can about what my little Wethkin takes after. You''re so kind Aven. ^^; ::Allure nodded, taking the book and walking back towards the bench where Rune lay. Scooting the pillow over, she sat next to the egg. Allure opened the book slowly with one hand, and cuddled her egg with her other:: .. There there, Rune. Now, I shall read to you about rainbows and magic.. ^^; *ahem* .. "Sweetie, this house is full of magic." She pulled out a wand from her belt, and smiled. "I''ma witch, but don''t let harry potter or anything like that tell you what witches are." she laughed at herself trying to lecture someone else about her beliefs and religion. "Well, I am writing my own ritual and spellbook right now, my very own book of shadows." Aven laughed at herself, ONCE AGAIN.

( May 08, 2005 - May 17, 2005 )::Allure''s attention moved from the book, to Aven, then her wand..:: .. W-wow! Really..? I have always been so interested in magic ... but nothing very magical has happened to me until now .. come to think of it, until I met you! ::She laughed softly, smiling:: I would love to learn more about what you know! ::She nodded eagerly, petting Rune softly with her fingertips, curling them around that rainbow swirl:: Aven smiled, and went over to the bench, bringing some books with her. "Here, read on basic wicca, it''s really fun and easy to learn about. This book covers, well mostly rituals." She said, and took out a green book with a symbol for the greenman on it. "This is all you need to know about earth, and this one is all about the gods and goddesses." She handed her a white book with many symbols on it, and on the top in gold letters it read: Greek Gods and Goddesses: tales and information. Ooh .. ::Allure''s eyes widened as she watched Aven handle the books, it was almost as if they sparkled with magic, and anticipation to teach someone else about the wonderful mysteries that are kept within the text..:: .. I will learn everything I can, and help teach Rune along the way .. ^^; .. So Rune can be educated even before hatching! ::She laughed softly, and imagined for a moment what Rune might look like without her rainbow shell ... although, she was already getting attatched to what Rune looked like currently ... she was so gorgeous, with that prism outer layer, and that cute rainbow that was curled around:: "Allure...? You''re spacing again, dear." She laughed and opened the gods and goddesses book. "Want to know something?" Aven pointed to a section in the book, and it showed a very long list of goddesses. "Look at this name..." She pointed to the name: AVENORELL "Creepy, huh? Landed down from olympus meself." She smiled and pushed back her brown hair, and turned the page. "Odd, huh? Seeing me in this book.... but it''s true." She smiled and turned the page to Selene. W-what..? ::Allure blinked, it was as if time froze and everything around them stopped at that moment that Aven revealed herself. She was amazed, shocked, bewildered. So much had happened to her today ... she didn''t think that anything would have been able to top the event of her discovering a Wethkin, but this information was definately the icing on the cake.:: You''re really .. ::..Her sentence floated off of her lips, and into oblivion as she read along the pages where Aven dragged her finger. It really did read her name, and the picture was so incredibly identical that it seemed as though the portrait was inserted into the book just earlier that day.:: ... Y''know ... ::Her eyes traveled up from the book, and looked at Aven..:: .. I suppose if this were any other day, I would say that was impossible ... but I believe it. Heh. ::A smirk curled her lips upwards slightly..:: It actually explains so many things ..! You''re such a good friend, and a wonderful person that I should have known you were a goddess! ::Allure laughed ... thinking back to all the times where everything seemed so perfect ... so many things just happened to go her way when she was around Aven! Her face was so happy, remembering those grand times .. and then a serious look came upon her..:: I want to learn more from you .. Whatever you would like to teach me, if that is possible?

( May 08, 2005 - May 17, 2005 )"Heh, I''m surprised you haven''t said it''s impossible though, most people that know think I''m crazy." She laughed, and smiled. "Oh course, I''ll teach you what I know. But, there is a catch. You need to have a name, and you need to learn how to create a simple illusion to become part of the family." She smiled, and pulled out a peice of parchment from a shelf. "Your new name.... Sayalissia." She smiled and wrote it down, then made a few notes, leaving spaces blank for other notes. "Now, an illusion is simple. I taught Calli how to make an illusion of a feather last week, Aure can already make snow." She smiled and imagined a thunderbolt of her father''s in her palm, and the illusion appeared into reality. "Gah! Why did I have to make it so jagged..." She said, holding the bolt. "If you believe that you can do it, imagine something lost in your hands, it works when you know what it looks like." She said, indicating the thunderbolt. .. Sayalissia .. ::She spoke the name slowly aloud, the syllables rolled off her tongue in a relatively natural manner. That usual smile formed, she liked it! An assuring nod was given, and she watched Aven write the nickname down onto the paper with the most graceful handwriting.:: An illusion? ::Aven made everything look so easy, she thought! How in the world was she going to create something out of thin air ... She tried not to laugh at the amusing sight of a lightning bolt in Aven''s hands. Everything was still coming to her, but she wasn''t really in shock.:: Alright ... I''ll try ... ::Now ... what to do, what to do? Her hands moved across her lap, and one trailed off and landed next to Rune. She let her fingers glide across the surface of the egg, and she clutched it softly ... looking for some sort of inspiration from her newly acquired Wethkin. With one hand still atop Rune, the other she brought out before her, palm facing upwards. Allure''s fingers slowly drew towards the center, and she closed her eyes tightly - wrinkles forming across her face. Concentrating hard, she quickly opened her eyes, and forced the palm of her hand open. For one moment, she thought, she saw the faintest resemblence of a tiny rainbow ... but nothing was there!:: .. Arg .. I need a lot more practice .. ^^; "Well, there are a few other things in alternative to illusions..." She took out the paper and wrote: First illusion attempt gave a good platform, small illusion was succesful."Well, we have summoning a god/goddess, succesfully purifying a tainted spot of the earth..." She tapped her chin and a thought suddenly hit her. "I know something you can do! Prove your power!" She punched the air and smiled. "Any power, archery, anything artistic, or even making something up! If any of the gods or goddesses approve it, you are able to learn the ways!" Aven wrote down the things on a paper and sat down, very satisfied with herself that she remembered that last one. "Now, I will be the judge in this area, unless you want me to call one of my family...?" Aven stood up again, and in a second a sheet of ice surrounded her, and dissapeared. She was revealed as a tall, slim pale blue-skinned woman with long icy blue hair that reached her ankles. Her lips were blue and crusted slightly with ice, as well as her eyelashes. "This is me in my goddess form, but when I summon I gain a different appearance. Have you thought about how you want to prove youself?" Her voice was so calm, gentle. she sat down, her cascading feathery dress draped over her legs and ankles. ::Allure became completely overwhelmed by Aven''s transformation. She had never experienced anything like her before ... it wasn''t like she was a being, it was like she was everything and nothing at once. Perhaps that was the essence of a goddess, they are more than what humans can possibly comprehend. So much magic had enchanted her day today, so much that her brain almost couldn''t take it. At that moment, Allure''s eyes started to close faintly, and soon they rolled to the back of her head. She fell to the ground - shocked, stunned, and her brain was sizzling with new senses and information. She would be asleep for a while.::
