Charlie and Chelsea’s Back to School ScavengeThis Event Brought to you courtsey of The Elder Council  It's back to school time for Whuddles Charlie and Chelsea, but after a long and eventful summer, they can't seem to find their school supplies! Their new teacher will likely be pretty unimpressed if they show up on the first day unprepared, so to ensure that they don't make a bad first impression, Charlie and Chelsea are asking for some help to gather up all their lost items. Over the summer they've both been traveling near and far across WhuddleWorld so their school supplies could be anywhere! Finding them all will not be an easy task! If you choose to help out and scavenge for the lost supplies you may be the one lucky Whuddle who will receive a one-of-a-kind backpack as a gift, or perhaps one of the few others who will be rewarded with Whuddlebeans! WhuddleWorld Citizens, let's lend a hand and start looking around on September 18th! We'll only have until Sept 24th to search because school starts the next day! Charlie and Chelsea's Back to School Scavenge [09/16/06 05:14:55 PM]
Hey all,
Just a quick note to let you all know that Cherlie and Chelsea will be asking for your help starting on Monday. Apparently they've misplaced their school supplies and need to recover them before school starts on the 25th!
The event will start Monday evening - and apparently Charlie will be sending you all a personal message to give you more details. Be sure to check your mail Monday evening for more information.

OOC: Charlie and Chelsea's Back to School Scavenge will start Monday evening (no specific time indicated - keep checking your mail)**.
This event will be the FIRST event to give out a 'Quest Award' to all those who successfully complete the scavenge.
Start: Monday, Sept. 18th (evening)
End: Sunday, Sept. 24th (11:59pm)
Prizes: See the WWC
Info: In addition to the prizes mentioned in the paper, there will be Citizenship awards for participation, as well as a Quest Award for all those who successfully complete the scavenge.
All those who successfully complete the scavenge will also be recognized via the 'Buzz Board' on the Main Page.
For more details and prizes, pick up a copy of the WhuddleWorld Chronicles (Edition 2, Issue 2 - currently available from The Pencil Company newsstand.)

*Note: There will be NO DISCUSSION topic open on the Blah-Blah-Blah board for this event, however the winners will be posted at the conclusion.
**Note: Citizens 12 and under WILL be able to participate in this event (an update to the mail system will be put in place to accomodate our younger Citizens with the launch of the event).

The Quest WILL be starting this evening - just a few small delays as we work to get all the changes uploaded and tested to make sure everything is working as it should. Please be patient. The site will be closing down shortly while we prepare to set everything up.

Whuddle world is up!
edit: and its down again. (nearly an hour now since it went up for a while... )
when the site was up I saw the message that lyrael has completed the quest! haha smile
Also the notice was up on the main page that the scavenger hunt was started.
ok after two hours theres a notice that says the servers was reset and anyone that started first its also resetted

I am so confused about the quest
can anyone tell me what you are suppose to do to find the items
I've been in the areas he mentioned forever
and clicked everywhere
nothing happens

When I click the library guy... nothing happens.
EDIT: Apparently he only talks in IE, not firefox...
Though I'm still having a problem. I talked to the guy... went to the places he mentioned... and nothing happened... tried clicking around them and the map around the buildings, etc... Am I doing something wrong? I don't really understand how this works.

I talked to the guy... went to the places he mentioned... and nothing happened... tried clicking around them and the map around the buildings, etc... Am I doing something wrong? I don't really understand how this works. I did the entire quest in firefox without any problems. Maybe it is just your version?

In general, I don't quite get this quest. :
By no means do I want anyone to give me answers, but...explaining how this event works would helped me a lot. :]
Do you get messages saying to look closer like with the wagon/tamborine? Or does it actually show up on the map like the scarf?
Or...do you just click randomly in the places given to you? D:

By no means do I want anyone to give me answers, but...explaining how this event works would helped me a lot. :]
Do you get messages saying to look closer like with the wagon/tamborine? Or does it actually show up on the map like the scarf?
Or...do you just click randomly in the places given to you? D: Pay attention to what each NPC says. They tell you where to look. The items don't show up on the actual shop/map as an image. They are invisible. You have to click around to find each item.

When you find the item, it will give you a pop up saying that you found it and have a little picture of it. Immediately go back to the NPC that told you to find it and tell them that you have the item to stop your time.

It we be able to have a logical approach to finding the item?
Such as...the fact that they, being kids, probably couldn't touch the top of the cabinet for example? Or...they could not properly lose it in the curtains? o:
AND. Would the little hand icon show up if your cursor goes over it? o:

AND. Would the little hand icon show up if your cursor goes over it? o: The hand icon showed up for me. Not sure if everyone has it though. The items show up anywahere, I think. I'm not 100% sure though. If I remember correctly, all of my items were on the floors of stores/the world map.
