On the edge of campus, there was a small building.
Inside, it was a lot bigger than it looked, with cards on every available space (except the floor). There were complete decks or smaller sets for people who wanted to try something new. If someone just wanted to buy one card, there were a lot of those, too.
A young woman stood outside, painting a sign.
She smiled as she put on the finishing touches. "There. I hope this goes well."
Brushing a lock of black hair behind her ear, she stood the sign beside the door before heading inside to finish setting up.
The sign read in big bright green letters:
"Academy Card Shop - Now Open."

Tatsumi looked at the shop and her eyes grew bright with excitment "A card shop"!! She abruptly ran in the door "hello hello?" she ran around in a huff looking at all the cards.

"Oh, hello!" Tekira greeted. "How are you?"
While waiting for Tatsumi's answer, she wandered back and forth straightening the decks that Tatsumi had knocked over.

"I'm really happy thst tere is a card shop now" Tatsumi made a noise resembling a "squee" sound. Tatsumi ran up to Tekira and grinned.

Yuugi-kun "I'm really happy thst tere is a card shop now" Tatsumi made a noise resembling a "squee" sound. Tatsumi ran up to Tekira and grinned. Tekira chuckled. "So am I. Did you want to buy anything?" she inquired with a slight smile.

Tekira covered her face with both hands so he wouldn't see her laughing.
"I know that, it's just an...Oh. We're here."
She stepped aside to let him go in.

Roe gave her a brief look like maybe she was a little bit insane, but smiled anyway and bounded in ahead of her.

Tekira caught the look and bit her lip to keep from laughing again.
Following him into the shop, she looked around again happily.
She loved this place. It was hers.
"What do you think?" she asked quietly, surprised at the undertone of pride that came with the words.

Roe didn't even hear her. He was already across the room looking at cool stuff. "Wow, this place is so awesome." he said, flitting to something else. "Do you need help? You'll be swamped. I can work here. I mean, can I work here? Oh, do you trade cards?" he asked, looking back at her briefly, then turning back to something new. "You know what you should do? You should paint the walls." he exclaimed, spreading his arms out to indicate all of them at once. "You could paint Duel Monsters on them, like a Red Eyes and Blue Eyes on the ceiling and on the floor you could paint a field card and on the walls you could do all sorts of things. That would be really cool. Do you sell posters? I need some for my dorm. ... Do you have food? I'm starving. Not that I'm mooching or anything it's just that I'm the only person in my dorm so we, I, don't have a chef and there's no food there. I think I'll probably just see if there's room in the red dorm. They have food, and people. ... If you don't have anything I'll settle for a Hungry Burger card, then maybe I won't feel all that hungry anymore. ... You know if you did dragons on the ceiling Mountain would be a cool card for the floor. You could paint the actual mountains on the floor and then overlay them with see-through plastic tiles with clouds painted on them so it looks like you're walking in the sky looking down at the mountains, wouldn't that be cool?

Tekira blinked.
"I know, yes, if you have time, sometimes, I guess I could try it like that, yes, yes, and it would be if I could paint."
She thought she'd answered all the questions, but he'd given so many she might have missed some.
So, almost wincing, she added, "Any other questions?"
