It was getting later in the day, and the rain still pounded down hard upon PJ's small house. Junketsu was sitting up against the couch watching some little kid show or another and PJ was sitting on the couch reading. "It really is a horrible day today, I really do wish we had something to do."

"Gizmooo! GIZMO!"
The rain had come so suddenly. And the griff--the fire griff--had been startled to the point where he ran even from Kilah. He just hated it that much. Huddled under a near-by neighbors porch, in plain view...IF you could see.
Terrified of the storm outside the safety of the wooden covering, he made so little noise that even Kilah was unable to locate him. She was bitter about having to walk around in the rain, but mostly annoyed she had no idea where she was.
And where was Noyama? Running to catch up with them, Kilah guessed. The protector was skilled in some things. Running was not one of them.

PJ who had very sensative ears was able to hear the group shouting and all the feet pounding upon the rain soaked roads. Once outside her right away noticed Gizmo, a griff he had previously met, hiding on one of his neighboring pourches. "Is that...Kilah's pet?"

Upon the new arrival, the griff jumped. Sadly for him, his current location provided little room to do so. His head bashed against the wood above him, and out of sheer surprise he let out a, "Wark!"
"Gizmo!" Kilah hissed immediatly, pointing to the ground beside her. "Come."
The hope had been the toddler wouldn't hear him, but now that she knew he was there, he couldn't refuse her demands. So, grudingly, he trotted out into the rain with a shudder.
Water.
Ick.

PJ ran up to Akilah and Gizmo, he was holding an umbrella which he handed to Akilah. "What on Earth are you two doing out here? Itsvery cold out, you could get sick. Quickly come into my house, you can keep warm in there untill Noyama comes for you okay?"

When somebody suddenly shoved something in her hand, she nearly fell over. Tempted to kick said somebody, but decided against it when she recognized the voice. Noyama? Psh. She'd take for ever to find them.
It wasn't her fault, mind you. Kilah just ran too fast, and she ran off a lot. You'd think a blind toddler couldn't get so far so fast, but that didn't seem like the case. Shrugging her shoulders, she paused briefly before nodding her head.
Gizmo didn't like the rain, so she could wait. "Yeah, okay."

"Okay then, you two can play with Junketsu, she is just watching a movie now. Come on. PJ took Akilah's hand and led her towards the house. "So why were you two at anyway? Does Noyama know of this?"

"She was behind us," the toddler offered in a grumble, obviously not fond of the idea that was Noyama catching up with them. "But Gizmo started running, so I ran after him, and we can both run faster then her."
As for why, she wasn't quite sure. They'd be going somewhere, to see somebody who's name she'd never heard. Not important now.

"Oh, I see. Well just make yourself comfortable inside and warm up, I'm sure Noyama will be right along." PJ opened the door and usered the two inside the sitting room. "Do you two want anything?"
Junketsu who was busy watching the movie had not even noticed PJ had left the house. But now that everyone seemed to be around her, she looked up at Akilah with a smile. "Kii Laaa!"

Let's hope not, Kilah thought to herself bitterly. If there was anywhere she wanted to be, it was some place away from Noyama. She was mad--no, outraged--that her protector dare bring another baby into her house.
Twila. Psh. What a stupid name.
"Hey," she offered to the baby, sitting fairly close to the baby and lifting an arm to judge the distance. Deciding it was fine, she listened to the movie but didn't recognize any of the voices. Must be one of those stupid ones Taryn watched...

PJ deciding it would be best to let the kids play while he read, thus he sat back on the couch and opened his book once more.
Junketsu smiled and held her hand out to Akilah, to shake, she did not look at Akilah, instead was totally lost in her movie. It was odd the affect a simple childrens movie could posible hold one's attention for so long. It was like crack...baby crack.

Withdrawing her hand, it brushed against Junketsu's. The only thing that made her aware of the offering. Pleased, she took her hand for a shake before setting it on the ground beside her.
God, this movie was boring. Mind-numbing, even. "Hey,uh--" Just then realizing she had no rememberance of PJ's name, or anything close to it, she settled with, "-you." Yes, 'you', that would do just fine.
"What is this junk?"

Junketsu smiled as Akilah shook her hand. And this time she managed to jerk away from the tv to talk to Akilah. "unny!"
"Oh, my name is PJ dear. But yeah, shes watching some movie about a rabbit and puppets and such, its a very ...um... not smart tv show. But she seems to like it non the less."

Dear? If she'd been able to, she would've rolled her eyes. Old people were so stupid. Of course, being so young she considered anyone over twelve old.
"Bunnies, huh?" After this she grew quiet, thinking silently to herself. She knew a bunny Sin'aeis, actually. Ciaran. He had been cool, really cool. So this show couldn't be all bad, no matter how stupid it sounded. (Bye~)

"Yup, bunnies. I never really did understand how anyone could tolerate these types of shows for more than ten minutes. But it keeps little Junketsu happy which is all that matters I suppose."
Junketsu handed Akilah her stuffed cow, she could tell Akilah was getting bored, and maybe playing with some toys would make her happy?
