Raven threads flew up and soon lay smooth on her head as Shee got ready for the next mission. After all, you couldn't just go to Las Vegas looking, well, normal.

Vegas was the paragon of glitz, and it was here that the the Prince of Monaco had chosen to honour his son with a lavish party. LOTUS, of course, had to make an appearance. They weren't invited, of course- LOTUS didn't make a habit of letting themselves be contacted by just anyone.

Shee was LOTUS' self-appointed 'diplomat'. In actuality, she was quite good at it. Having made a name for herself in social circles, while LOTUS wasn't invited, Shee was.

Flittering between her thoughts and her hair, Shee looked in the mirror. Wraith was always in awe at how different she was able to make herself look when she tried. It was an awful lot of fun, and useful to boot.

The Italian girl had managed to transform into the Italian lady on the night of the Prince of Monaco's son's party. In place of her usual ensemble, Moira had donned a pretty enough gown for the event, finally choosing a rich satin fabric dyed purple after fighting internally on whether or not a sleek suit would be appropriate.

For the son of a Prince's birthday celebration? She doubted it. So Moira fondly slid the satin over her head and smoothed it straight, then grabbed her jacket and put it on. She'd been ready, mostly, since the morning. She made sure her hair looked nice enough, and grabbed her spagetti-stringed purse. Then she turned, and left her room, to meet with Shee and the other recruit accompanying her on the mission.

Moira was nervous, but it didn't show too much. She was more excited, and that helped a little bit with stilling her nerves. Just remember. Get all the information you think would be relevant.

And to help her with that? She'd installed a microphone into her left earring, to record anything her conversations might get her. Oh yes, Moi was a smart duck.

Laurel looked down at herself... was what normaly looked like work? She really didn't think so, not for a party like this. She peeked in her closest and groaned, nope nothing in there would be of any use. It was time to go find Shee and get some help... and quickly.

Trying not to look like she was in a panic, Laurel hurried to Shee's room and knocked on the door annoucing herself, "Shee, it's Laurel and I need help." She was redded from her rush and her shame of having to ask for help.

Patting a last strand of hair in place, Shee got up to answer the door as she heard a loud knock and a muffled voice that sounded like Laurel's. And she seemed to be asking for help. Shee frowned. From what little she knew of Laurel, that couldn't be right.

Although she'd met the Scottish woman during the jet mix-up debacle, it had been very briefly, and she still didn't know her very well at all. The other recruit, Moira, was even more of a mystery to her.

Opening the door, she saw Laurel standing there in her regular clothes. OK, so she did need some help.

"Hi Laurel! Come in. Did you find any dressy things in your closet at all?"

As Shee was about to close the door, she thought she heard the sounds of another person approaching. Probably, Moira, she reasoned.

Sticking her head out into the doorway, she yelled, "Just come in, Moira. Laurel's already here."

She shook her head, "Nothing much more then a summer dress, not fit for this group." She really didn't want to add that even if there was a proper dress she couldn't do much other then put it on. She knew in her life that she wasn't top in style, class, elegance - but give her a sword or a some guy to brawl with....

Gold eyes glanced at the other woman, now that was a lady who could dress! She almost sighed but quickly looked back at Shee.

"That's OK. I'm sure we can find something for you in here."

Shee turned and flung open a set of heavy wooden doors with relish. This was going to be fun.

Whisking through the myriad of colours draped over fat metal hangers, Shee quickly found what she was looking for. Holding up a floor-length, pale golden gown, Shee grinned.

"Luckily, I haven't gotten this hemmed yet, so it should fit you. And you'll look so pretty in it!"

Indeed, the gown was sizably longer than Shee was tall. It glittered as it swung on its hanger, the neck high and the back daringly low.

"Umm. Alright, should I go back to my room to change?" After watching the ordeal of searching for a gown Laurel decided to just nod a lot at Shee. The woman seemed too happy to be going through her clothing.

Before meekly waiting for her answer she asked another, "And... can I still wear my heart?"

Moira had come in after Laurel, when Shee had mentioned she could, and smiled at Laurel slightly. She seemed to be having trouble dressing. No matter, Shee would help. Moira stood off to the side, waiting quietly while she watched Shee move through the many colors of dresses in her wardrobe.

She looked at Laurel and smiled a little. "Nervous?" She asked idly, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall patiently. She was, but it wasn't that bad. It was just a party, her earrings would do all the work so long as her hair didn't get wet.

Shee smiled at Moira as she looked around and at Laurel. Luckily, Moira was already dressed; that way, they would be able to spend more time actually focusing on the mission, however fun dressing up was.

"Of course you can still wear your heart! It'd look great with the dress. If you feel like," Shee pointed towards another large door, "there's a dressing room right there that you can change in. It also connects to the washroom, so you can freshen up a bit too."

Shee reached out to give the dress to Laurel.

"When you get back, we can discuss the mission in more detail before we leave."

"A bit," She told the Italian lady.

Laurel could only nod and take the dress to the room. As quick as she could she changed, making sure to keep her necklace on. She went over to the washroom to try to prep. She did attempt to look proper.

'Okay, maybe this will work?' Laurel was thinking to herself, not sure if she was just being overly critical or if she didn't have it down.

Going back through the dressing room and back to the other ladies, the woman wondered yet again why she signed up for this mission.

Shee squealed and clapped her hands.

"You look fabulous, Laurel! Was I right, or was I right?"

Shee attempted to look serious, and immediately abandoned that attempt. After all, Vegas wasn't a very serious place, was it?

"O.K. Back to business. We'll be flying over to Las Vegas of course, and it'll take only a few hours at most. So we should head over to the hanger."
PostPosted: Sat Sep 09, 2006 8:35 pm

"Yes, ma'am." Moira grinned a little at Shee, and turned to start walking with them. The hanger, to Las Vegas' party, and hopefully to a successful mission. She glanced at Laurel and grinned. "You look nice in that, by the way." She offered with a grin.

The dress did look nice on her. The necklace was a nice accessory, but it did make her curious as to what it meant to Laurel, if she'd requested to wear it along with the gown. Family heirloom, perhaps?

She shrugged the question off, and attempted to internally prepare herself for socializing with the finest for information.

Reaching the hanger with Laurel and Moira in tow, Shee pointed towards a little white jet.

"We'll be traveling in there. Small, but the fastest one we have."

Opening the cabin door, she swung in and her hand popped outwards to usher the others in behind her.

Moira arched an eyebrow at the jet, and frowned a little. "We'll all fit right?" It was small... She went in after Shee, and moved to sit down and make herself comfortable.

Even for a few hours, she wanted to be comfortable in the miniature jet. She situated herself, and then looked at Shee. "So. We're just gathering information and whatnot, right?" She wanted to make sure that was it.

"Of course we'll fit! Now if Shane was with us..."

Shee smiled wickedly at Moira.

Tapping on the glass after making sure they were all there, she said, "Correct. All you have to do is get information. No specific information we need, just anything you believe to be useful."

The plane had begun to move. Rumbling slightly, it picket up speed and flew through the large open door and into the sky, dusk falling around them as the stars whisked their covers off and came to greet them.
