Ever since I started playing in my high school band I've had occasional dreams about band. I've been wondering if my band director is taking over my mind or this is normal for band dorks. If you or someone you know has had a band dream, please contact a musical psychiatrist near you. There is help.
In my first band dream, my trumpet friend and I played flute. We were so bad, however, that our director made us play 4th flute on the trumpet. The best part was when the song said "play with ripped pants." And I thought resting "with exuberance" was weird...
A few days ago I had my first official band nightmare. We had our first few days of concert season this past week, and my section was yelled at almost non-stop for 1 and 1/2 hours. Thus I dreamed I was playing at a concert, messing up the whole piece while everyone else played beautifully. I think it was a good dream, though because now I've been scared into playing with confidence. blaugh

Since my freshman year, I've had nightmares about band camp, especially when it's getting close for me to go to band camp.

I don't really dream of band, I just dream of people IN band..
Which is odd, because I had this dream that we were all at a candy factory and this saxaphone that I like decided that he liked me back, so he held my hand. Which was really sweet.
Except for the fact that my hands were entirely covered in peanut butter and jelly.

...I had a dream last night when I stood up to play a solo, and when I was done, the whole world was watching me...And they all just stared.. eek

I've had dreams where I've been in orchestra completely naked, and nobody cared. I remember realizing in the dream that I didn't have clothes on and trying to hide behind my cello. O_o
I've also had dreams with various things happening in the band room, usually not band-related. Usually it's people from music class that appeared in my dreams. Once I dreamed I was in a diner and there was a jukebox and when I looked at the music list, everything was by people I knew from music class. Unfortunately, the jukebox was broken so I never got to hear what they didn't really write.

I had a band dream where i was in a prison cell for some reason and all my fellow trumpets were in there for some reason or another. We got out aomehow, but the fat, annoying freshman fell and we left him behind. Somehow he caught up with us and we ended at some sort of cottage. Inside were our band directors, wating with forks and knives for us to fall into their trap.
Then i wake up, and thank god im not eaten. domokun
Maybe i guess one can consider this a band nightmare.

I've had band dreams . . . pretty odd band dreams (including missing the bus and skateboarding after it in full uniform . . . across a high rise bridge). I'm not going into details . . . but mostly . . . they were weird

I had a band dream the other night...I was tryng to play the show music, but I couldn't play a really easy part that was just the on the staff C's and D's...it was pretty bad...

Well.. I actually had one last night... the only part I remember are that on the band bus two of my non (well one is a soon to be guardie) band friends kissing and I was tempted to yell PDA at them... and there was more but I forget... Heh..

I've had band dreams before. I had one a year or so ago that we went on a band trip - which would've been nice, only it was to a desert. o_O And there were... showers. XD And I don't remember much else, save for that it was really weird.
I had a dream the other night that me and a bunch of my band friends went to Disneyland, though. XD Probably because we've been seriously talking about going there after senior year.

I have dreams where i forget my clarinet, go home and get it only to realize it WAS at school and then when i get to school i walk into the band room and i'm suddenly topless (and thats a huge deal considering DD here....) but NO ONE notices.....but i'm freaking out about Phillip and what i'm going to wear!! (Phillip (fil-eep) is my clarinet...^ ^)

And here I was a thinking it was just me...
Band dreams..got to love them...the most vivid one I have is we spent like all day going through this parade in my hometown....but we took a bus to get there ???...and there were like these huge blow-up floats and things for kids to play on...It seemed so real lol...
I've also had a few where I was in band class....creepy lol 3nodding
