Hello.
My name is Damien.
I run the writing contest forum.
Here's the game.
Each week a new member comes up with a new contest that will last for the duration of that week.
The creator may not participate.
If you think you have an idea, PM me with it.
I will pick from the ideas I get; but rest assured that we won't recycle people until EVERYONE who has participated (or was the creator) of the first contest has gone.
After that it restarts, and the rules stay the same.
If you make another contest (which you may do outside of the weekly one), then feel free to link to us.
Here are the guidlines for making a contest.
1. State the literature type.
2. State the word count maximum *Required*.
3. State the prize, and way about going around to getting* it.
4. You must donate at least 500 gold to either the guild or randocramps. (Waffles edit: I would prefer you send it to randocramps, as that can be used for things besides subforums, such as guild contests/giveaways)
5. (another waffles edit) Any member (not just mods) can run a contest, so long as it's fair (as in, you don't make 3,000 gold and the grand prize is 500. That's completely unfair).
Have fun with it.
Myself, Tak Jak, Waffles, and any other Mod at the time will be judging the entries in the guild-wide mod run contests.
Unfortunatly only one Mod may enter these contests at a time, and they will not be helping judge for obvious reasons.
We will cycle Mod's who can enter.
NOW TAKE OFF THEM SHOES AND HAVE A SIT.
*A suggested prize is either gold or a rare item.
I would personally have all of my entries pony up about 500 gold to a K, and then the winner takes the pot.
You could also use that gold to buy the item.
And if you try and scam us, I will ******** kill you.

Edit: This is now also a place where you can post all sorts of writing games. 3-word stories, word association, even caption contests. Any game that pertains to writing.
I'm adding a new rule.
Contests may only be posted as stickies or announcements with aproval from me. Otherwise, just post them as regular threads, please.
