Okay, I just was thinking, which is rare. Vampires can definantly turn humans into vampires. Don't you think werewolfs would have a way of doing that, too? I mean, everyone had to have heard the old folk tales of getting bit by a werewolf, then turning into one. So do you think that if a werewolf were to bite somebody, they would turn into one?

I don't think that's the case here. Jakob turned into one and he didn't get bitten, that we know of.
I think it's just in their blood or something.

But we also know Jacob never tried to bite anyone. Or any other of the werewolfs, for that matter. So, if they never tried it, they is no way to be sure.

Hmm....this makes me think...
I think, my opinion anyway, is that it is in the blood, not a spread thing. I mean, wouldn't Jacob mention that? He would try to stay far away from her if he had that reason, though, most likely like Edward he would fail.... Anyway, I'm not sure. Possibly, but I'm betting on no.

I don't think he would try to stay far away from her. Like Edward said, Bella is his brand of heroin, and probably no other vampire feels as strongly about her blood as Edward does. So maybe Bella's scent doesn't have the same reaction with Jacob as it would with Edward. . . wait, I'm confusing myself. Typical.

That's a good point. I hadn't really thought about the whole fact that her scent could affect Jacob in a different way.... It's definately something to think about....

It's in their blood. The legends that Jacob mocked Billy for in Twilight were true, because Jacob tells Bella that because he had two werewolf 'bloodlines' in him. The same goes for his friend Quil, too, which is apparently his second cousin. He claims he 'never had a chance', which means that not every resident of La Push becomes a vampire. One 'bloodline' must come from his father's side, and the other from his mother's.

They don't like vampires biting humans, so I don't think they would lower themselves to the same standard. It may not be a written law, but I'm sure all the werewolves know it is bad to attack people.
The only reason they might attack a person is if they become engrossed in anger, as shown by Sam.

Yes, it is hereditary. You only turn into one if it's in your genes/DNA/whatever. AND there have to be vampires around when you reach the right age. (I think. o.O)
