Ship: They haven't tol me what this 'ere ship is called yet. They don't figure I need ta knows it, for to scrub all the decks.

Captain: Mostly stays in 'is cabin. There's a sar-gent who yells at us, though. Don't know 'is name either.


Rules:
No trackin' anymore dirt or flees onto my cot than is already on it already, right?

No tryin' to steal my cot when I'm not 'ere. Even cabin pups bite, ya know, and I'm not sleepin' on no deck.

Visit when ya like, but I may not be 'round much. Too much work, ya know.

Thas what they make ya say when you joins this 'ere Royal Navy, and once ya says it you're a navy dog now and can't be leavin' ship or ignorin' orders or nothin'. Only, they had most of us reg-lar new mutts -- ones without dem fancy swags, da off-cers -- say it after we'd already sailed, seein' as most of us been knocked on our noggin and only woke up just now.

Don't know why they went went and did that for, neither. I was going ter join up soon as could anyhow. I am a noble doggy, wot, and I shall vanquish evil dooers, arf. Only, mostly they've got me scrubbin' these 'ere decks. "'ere now ya worthless sons a bitches!" the one off'cer said -- he's the one does most 'o da yellin' -- "We's had us a royal visit, and that means these 'ere decks still smell 'o the royal markin's! Ya smell that? Thas what yoor fightin' for! Now swab it down, and if I smell anything, ya get no dinner."
