The young demi-god was out of the den and wandering about. As much fun as it was to hang around with his family, exploring was just as much fun, if not more. Besides, if had more potential for advnture. Wahabu was not the right colors to blend into his surroundings, especially with vibrant red and blue eyes and a blue rune on his forehead. He stood out quite well as he leapt through the grasses, searching for something to do. The pride was supposed to be big, maybe he'd find someone to play with.

Walking slowly across the savannah grasslands, the god of loneliness flicked his tail back and forth behind himself in a sort of game. It was a game that his young son, Akiiki, had inherited from him. Granted Athrun had a much fluffier and longer tail than Aki had, but he also was more laid back than his more... rambunctious, son.

Lifting his abnormally large white wings a little higher on his back, so that his midnight black heiroglyphic curse markings shimmered in the sunlight of the day.

All in all it was a fairly nice day to be out for a walk, or at least Athrun believed so.

As nicely as Wahabu stood out, Athrun was considerably more visible as a white and red lion. Not to mention there were the giant wings sitting on his back to draw attention to him. Wahabu stopped his bounding to get a good look at the god in the distance, grinning widely. He started moving once again, leaping happily in the god's direction.

"Hello!" he called brightly. His eyes were wide and curious, the blindfold and the wings catching his attention most. The wings reminded him of a dream he'd had, his mother had wings. However the blindfold was entirely new to him. Wahabu blinked up, trying to decide what to say. "Who're you?" he blurted.

Sky blue eyes glanced out of the corners of the god's eyes beneath the black and Egyptian marked blindfold. Turning so that the Eye of Horus could take in the small god/spawn cub before him, Athrun let a small smile grace his muzzle so used to staying stoney.

"Well hello yourself little one. My name is Athrun, what's yours?" He asked jovially, sitting down on the grass to get a better look at the little one. The pale yellow cub with his blue markings and bi-colored eyes made Athrun smile and his personality reminded him somewhat of Yadumugandama's, only a little less grouchy.

One sniff let him know the cub was a demi-god, but one look at him told him that unlike his own boys, this one didn't know it. He was sure that the cub's mother or father had a reason for hiding it from him though, so he held his tongue.

Wahabu was pleased to see a smile on the god's face, and to hear a jovial tone. His eyes went back from the wings to the blindfold, at which he squinted curiously. He could swear that eye mark on the cloth was staring at him, but the cub had no idea how you could see through it. It really didn't look like a true eye! Maybe the wings offered some explanation, but then that made him more curious about some of the dreams he'd had.

"My name's Wahabu," he replied proudly, shaking his head a bit before working up the nerve to ask, "Can you see through that thing over your eyes?" One question at a time; wings were less mysterious to him.

Nodding his head gently at the cub's question, Athrun flicked his wings and put a paw to the edge of his blindfold. Of course it got lots of questions, it always did, but then how else was it supposed to be?

"Wahabu then. That's a good name, do you know it's meaning?" Athrun always had a penchant and curiosity for names. It was one of those things that came with watching and the learning aspect of a god's life. "Of course I can see out of it. The Eye of Horus is a strong magic, that's part of the reason that I use it."

He didn't tell the cub exaclty why he had it, that was too much for someone his age to hear. Too sad at least.

Wahabu took a seat and kept his head tilted far back, looking up at Athrun politely and curiously while they conversed. He carefully watched the paw that went to the blindfold's edge, but asked no more questions about it.

"Um, my name means.." he hesitated, he had no idea of what it meant but was keen on making something up for it, "it means great adventure..er." He puffed up in a mock-proud stance before laughing at himself, "I don't know what it means, do you? What about your name?"

His eyes were focussed on the Eye of Horus, having no other eyes to look into and having been taught that if you speak to someone you should look at them rather than away. Wahabu didn't even start to wonder why he had the Eye of Horus instead of his own eyes showing, he just accepted that as part of Athrun.

"Aaah. Well, there are some names that have no meaning, or at least names that one doesn't know the meaning to for quite a long while. I myself have don't have a meaning to my name, it was given to my by the one that created me." Athrun explained to the small cub patiently.

A small laugh almost escaped from his muzzle when he watched the cub puff himself up. It was amuzing to see a cub beside his own for once and this one at least seemed to have been raised with some morals, or enough to gaze into one's eyes.

Or eye in Athrun's case.

"Ooh," he murmured, making a mental note to ask his parents if his name means anything another time. The mention of the one who created him made him curious, though, and he raised an eyebrow. There was something curious about Athrun, and while Wahabu wasn't sure how he felt about all the questions he'd handled them patiently so far.. so, why not ask more?

"Who created you?" he asked, "Don't you have a mother and father?" Wahabu might have been a cub but he knew somehow parents were involved in the creation of their cubs, how else would they be their cubs?

"You don't mind all my questions, do you?" Wahabu asked, tilting his head, "I can stop asking if you want me to, you're really interesting though."

"The will to learn is one that I won't hinder little one. Ask as many questions as you like, if I believe you'll understand I'll enlighten you. Though there are some things only your parents are able to tell you." Athrun said with a gentle chuckle, laying down on the grass softly so that the cub could look at him levely rather than straining his neck to look up at him.

"Now, as to who created me, it was actually a human. I don't have parents, though there are some gods that do I do not. I was created by the lonely thoughts of a small girl many thousands of years ago." Athrun explained quietly and smoothly to the little cub before him. He found it nice that the cub wanted to learn so much.

"Ok!" Wahabu's smile widened, pleased he wasn't making Athrun upset. His neck cracked quietly when he finally was able to tilt his head back down when the lion lay down, which made him take a moment to stretch his neck to the side. He didn't bother to question the fact there were some things Athrun felt only his parents should tell him. He raised an eyebrow at the mention of a 'human,' trying to image what kind of creature that was but failing. He'd only seen lions, and heard of a couple other things, but not a human.

"What's a.. hoo-mi-" he cut himself off, his other eyebrow lifting at the mention of Athrun being a god, and there being other gods, "You're a god?" The bi-colored eyes glanced back to the wings, the jewelery and then back to the blindfold. Is that why he had all of those?

A laugh exploded from Athrun's muzzle and he rolled over onto his back lightly, spreading out his wings flat on the ground. The cub was very blunt and he just couldn't pronounce the word.

Normally Athrun wouldn't have laughed, but for some reason he was in a fairly good mood.

"Hughe - mon." Athrun said, breaking it down and writing it out in the dust after he was done laughing. "And yes, I'm a god. Gods are the only ones aside from birds that have wings, or at least we're the only lions that have wings." He said with a grin.

Wahabu bit his lip and gave a short laugh, he didn't find it as funny as Athrun seemed to but he didn't mind the laughing. He just smiled at the god as he pronounced 'human' slowly and spelled it out, both of which earned a slow nod from the cub.

"Human," he repeated, sounding much closer to the right word this time. His nose wrinkled at the mention of gods having wings, and only god lions having wings. "I had a dream with winged lions in it," he said matter-of-factly, not mentioning that one was his mother in this dream, "And I didn't even know lions can have wings before that." He'd obviously put some trust in what he'd dreamt, as cubs might often do, for he hadn't had a major reaction to seeing wings on a lion in reality.

"There you go, you got it." Athrun said with a gentle smile, settling his wings back down on his back. The cub would doubtless be a smart one and Athrun hoped that he learned as much as he could while he was alive, so that if they ever met up like he did with some of his passed on friends and family, that the cub would be able to teach him.

"Very few lions have wings, but you dreamed about some that did eh? What were they doing? Flying?" He asked jovially, his wings moving as he chuckled a little and rolled back to his belly again so that he wasn't peering at Wahabu upside down.

"Human," Wahabu said again with a grin when Athrun told him that he got it right, just to prove he could. It was a strange word, and he still had no idea what it meant. He'd find out someday, maybe. He watched Athrun roll back over and settle in comfortably, swishing his tail behind him contently.

"There aren't a lot of gods?" Wahabu asked curiously, taking a moment to recall his dream. It'd only really been his mother and some other winged lion in a very green area, very different from the Pridelands. "They weren't flying, I don't know," he answered carefully, "I think they were watching something, or talking.." Whatever he'd dreamt, he obviously didn't remember all of the specifics.
