We all know how we're bound to get flamed posting yaoi/BL artwork in general, but this one's specifically for KH yaoi fanarts.
Now, some are downright (attempting to be) nasty - but amusing nonetheless. In fact, the funniest/weirdest flamers in the world are those who attempt to be nasty. Odd how what they say seem to work against them.

RE: You insult the forum rules by not reading them before posting in a thread. It'd be understandable if they created a forum for you to run off the mill with flaming, but face it, they didn't. And now you're telling someone off for insulting some original work. Hypocrisy much?
I don't know about having 'shitty days', but I think he might have a worse one when someone reports his post. confused (I found this funny too, actually. It's one of my better days today. I got to eat cake. whee )
Plus, he said "******** you very much" to a guy himself. Odd. eek So... he wants to screw me, and yet... huh? whee
The odd thing was that the picture he posted in isn't BL or yaoi. Reference link: ]http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17231029 It's just a standalone portrait. eek
So, to list the odd stuff: arrow Wanting to screw a guy, and yet hating gay work. arrow Posting flames in the wrong area, wrong subject. Now, this is weeeeird. eek
Ever had odd/amusing/funny flamers on KH yaoi/BL work? whee

I actually thought that was pretty funny of him to say that. Mostly because I'm thinking that he is a mind of a two year old. His comment was very childish and rude, but that's why I thought it was hilarous. xd
And for his comment about creators becoming insulted with yaoi, really now, they'll think it to be odd, but most wouldn't really get upset over it. xd If they're low enough to submit to threats by anti-gay campaigns, then they'll try and ban it. (That's what JK Rowling did, tis shame, I use to look up to her.)
So really who is trying to be political here? The people trying to manipulate the creators to think that yaoi is bad publicity. Or the fans who love their characters and have the freedom to believe whom the characters should fall in love with?
...I rest my case Judge. *talking in the invisible court*

whee Yes, it was amusing... especially with the political references. I mean, I wasn't doing it based on a political standing. I'm not even gay myself - but it doesn't mean I can't let people do what they want. Doesn't mean I can't indulge in it myself if I felt like it. I'm not gay - but I CAN be/AM gay for Axel. ninja He he he. *Slaps self* I'm not making sense today. whee
Hmm... I don't know, a number of creators, more perhaps in Japanese series, don't really care. There was actually a pretty hushed/controversial discussion at one point where it was stated that they added BL into the games and then toned it down much - to encourage the many types of fans to look for it themselves and help popularize the games for them. We don't have homosexual laws here. It's hushed, but it IS a market on its own, and quite a good one at that. Nobody denies that. Nobody discusses it, but nobody denies it. The people who made the most noise about "gay art" were the fans... or like you said, the people who try to manipulate the creators to think that yaoi is bad publicity, and not the creators themselves. rofl Did the creator tell this guy that they were insulted? Nope. He just made it up based on his own judgment. It's funny. whee Baseless and funny. whee
To add on with the creators not really being insulted... A good example... good example... ok, we have The Flame of Recca (Kamuichan anyone? whee ), we have GetBackers (the artist himself told people that he drew Ban with the zipper down for fans, and we all know the Kadzuki issue if you read the comics; where Ban makes a statement about how he and Jyuubei are like a wedded couple), don't forget Card Captor Sakura (comics). The market of fans who are BL consumers are large. I don't just mean in Japan; it's globalized now. It's really our chance to ride on it - and one of the reasons why I came to western servers. Gravitation was made available to you, FAKE was made available to you, Loveless was made available to you. Who can forget that Minekura Kazuya actually made BL work before Saiyuki? whee (That's what they told me anyway wink )
I don't know, to me and some others, our mentality is more of the "I scratch your back and you scratch mine"... if you can help popularize something for me for free, you can go ahead and earn money selling fanstuff of it. We just need to credit it to the creators. That's why we see the "whoXwho pairing" of "SERIES NAME" on the covers of the fan comics. KH1&2 was popularized by the lot of us who jumped into it and started getting others and ourselves to illustrate for it. whee Square-ENIX never said anything to us... eek Yet. I don't know. I never got any news regarding it... eek
JK Rowlings... I don't have much of an opinion of her. confused She's a little odd... Doesn't she love her fans regardless of what they like, who they are? confused
Whatever it is, there will always somehow be a demand for ero-art of any genre... yuri, yaoi, bl, gl, het... whee I suggest just going along with it. None of our business what people like or hate, right? wink You're right - we, the fans, are the consumers here - and we're the ones buying the work. We're the ones who should be pleased. whee If they make us angry, we can just stop buying their work and buy another person's work. whee

All these guys who flame yaoi are a bunch o' scaredy morons. -.- Honestly, next time someone gets a thought like that..let it go. Just..let it go.
It's not insulting the artist's work, if you think they're characters have a relationship. (I mean, crap, it's practicly like the creator PUT it in there on purpose)
Also, another point I would like to make (I know he didn't say this in the flame, but I've gotten flamed for have KH yaoi on my page.),
[People who diss yaoi, saying "Oh-em-gee they r so not gehy!" would probably get off looking at something like Namine and Kairi.]
Seriously, I had a 12 year old boy tell me "Riku and Sora are not like that! It's Sora and Kairi! Why don't you put two girls on there?"
stare so yeah...Flamers are just shoujo-lovers with problems. (NO OFFENCE TO SHOUJO LOVERS! -huggles- I luff you guys, but you have some deffective peoples.))

Ah, that old excuse again. That just proves that they're closeted right there. You see, they're afraid if they approve yaoi, then people will think they're gay. So they'll scream and shout at yaoi fans, and will say they go ga ga over yuri. (Age old excuse right there buddy.)

KIRIHITO ChaosSinAlchemist Seriously, I had a 12 year old boy tell me "Riku and Sora are not like that! It's Sora and Kairi! Why don't you put two girls on there?" Now, that shocked me... eek A 12 year old boy said that? @_@; You think that's suprising? One time I was babysitting two kids. I told one of them they shouldn't make fun of other boys just because they held hands. The kid, about 10 years old, smiled wide at me later. "Come here," he told me, then he grabbed me and took me to the computer. Ofcourse I was confused because he was doing this an hour after I told them to stop that. Then typed in a webaddress that had gay porn on it. Ofcourse I was upset at him and turned it off. Asked him how he reached that site and how he should never being going on sexual sites like that. He simply made a face and said, "You like that sort of stuff, though, don't you?" I got angry and told him that making assumptions like that can get you into big trouble. He wouldn't listen, so I sent him on timeout and told his parents what happened. They were disappointed in him too. You wouldn't believe how many incidents I had with ill-behaved children. One was cusing like a sailor, I wasn't babysitting this kid, but I still was like, "You're only 8!! WHAT KIND OF PARENTS DO YOU HAVE?!"

the secon most used excuse in the book. (Forgive me for my inabilty to type in L33t.) Is someting along the line of this. "U R wrong. Sora and riku don't love each other because i love "**Put name here**."
First when I get dissed like that I respond nicely asking why they can have an opinion but I can't. (True I have had times like that but i never went after others for their opinions.) Then they never respond....

Wow, that was extremely naughty of him to do! eek He should get spanked or a timeout... @_@; He actually knows where to find porn?? gonk
Yeah, where do they learn the words...? sweatdrop I'm surprised... I don't really see children like that, probably because they're frightened to behave that way around me, I'm pretty scary looking to them. sweatdrop Arieta Cruz First when I get dissed like that I respond nicely asking why they can have an opinion but I can't. (True I have had times like that but i never went after others for their opinions.) Then they never respond.... You're right to respond nicely. 3nodding I rarely ever respond to flames at all; I was advised by the mods not to (makes it harder for them to clean the forum). @_@; So I just did as they asked and reported the posts... sweatdrop Jizabel People flame me all the time because of the guild banner in my signature. They're always telling me to take it off or that pic is wrong and whatnot rolleyes . But I just laugh, and flame them back. Now I keep that pic in my sig. just cause. They even flame you for a personal choice of a sig that they don't even need to look at? eek Now that's going a little too far. Sigs are our personal choice - and if we didn't initiate any contact with them (flamers) in the first place, I don't think they should've said anything at all. eek

eek If I was you, I would've started slapping that girl stupid. My binder has the same wonderful KH yaoi goodness but no one has gone that far yet. All they did was stare at it in wonder, cringe, or ask me more about it. Its funny seeing their different reactions. Maybe you should put in more pics just because.
