A few feet away from her lay the remains of her kill, which the flies were already picking at, but they were easily chased off later. Right now the lioness was preocupied with cleaning her fur, which had stained an uncomfortable shade of thick red around her paws and muzzle, and chest.
The river seemed to be perfect for doing the trick of washing away the blood from the young zebra she'd taken down. None of the scaley beasts were out and about to bother her so she was able to bathe in peace before moving on. Now as she turned her growing figure away from it's waters she felt refreshed, rejuvinated. One good shake of her pelt loosened most of the water, and a few shakes of her paws rid herself of the rest. Her fur was still damp, but it wouldn't take long to dry with the breeze blowing through the lands. Was the wind a sign of rains to come, or was it simply a relief of the heat?
Well, who cared about the why or the how, so long as there was an "is"?
Her jaws clamped securely down on the leg of her kill, and she turned, heading further into the heart of the Pridelands towards the large upjutting rock in the distance. Pride Rock. Home away from home.

Zuri was always told not to stary too far from home, and the way that sounded it ment not to go anywhere near priderock but she wasn't told not to to go around it. She always wondered what was at the rock, as she'd found out from Xu there were alot of lions that lived there, apperently mostly royals.
The Juvinile[sp?] paused looking around and spotted another lion. She paused watching it drag a zebra off towards the large rock. Wondering if she would dare bother the lionness she soon decided to brave it, besides she'd already braved an encounted with a maned wolf. Which got her scolded for such.
The female bounced, carefree up near the lioness, "HI!" She chimed before adding, "Nice day isn't it?"

Mosi was focused between her task and her thoughts, when suddenly she felt a prickle on the back of her neck. Usually that meant something was about to happen. She'd gotten used to this, it was better than the dreams. For now she continued walking, not slowing for the rustling grass. In fact, she only stopped when Zuri actually came into view, and then blinked dumbly at the cub with the zebra leg still in her jaws.
"Uhhhh...." Came the muffled "reply". Great, a cub.... D: Mosi just hoped she wasn't gonna... like.... start calling her mom or anything weird, which apparently had happened to their mother at some point when she and their father were still just juvinille delinquints. >BD
But, upon a second inspection after lowering her mouthful Mosi realized that the little female was actually about that age herself. Good, then, she'd know already who her parent figures or guardians were. Besides, Mosi belatedly realized, they looked nothing alike. How could they possibly make a mistake like that anyhow right?
"It's alright, I guess." Responded the golden eyed shadow, with a small indifferent, but curious, yet, look on her face. "What can I do for you?"

The female seemed slightly put off by zuri's apperance which was slightly odd to the golden juvi. Her tail flickered as she saw something move in the sand and pawed at it.
Chuckling she grinned, "I don't think you can do anything for me, seeing as you're busy..." She said with a soft giggle, "But if you weren't I'd say you could hang around and chat with me." She looked about the lands around her before peering back at the female.
"Oh incase you're wondering my name's Zuri!." With that she started to meander around the spot she stood at.

Well, that was easy enough. She didn't see why her parents seemed so put off by the idea of running into "strange cubs". This one seemed quite capable, and hell, hadn't she been at that age too? Of course she was!
As her own honey-golden eyes followed the movements of the smaller feline, Mosi found herself smirking again. She did remind her a lot of Xu, or Choa, restless. She decided that Zuri was tolerable, as such, and while she wasn't the best at this whole-- "big sister", "playmate", "babysitting" thing, she could at least just be herself. She didn't know what was expected of her when it came to handling the youth around the pridelands............ besides what was expected when it came to she and Jini's aunts and uncles anyway.
"Oh, well, I was just taking this to Pride Rock. You can tag along if you want, Zuri. Call me Mosi."

She blinked stopping on the spot. Wait.... Pride Rock... "Eheh...." She coughed slightly, "I'm not suppose to go to pride rock...." She choked out sitting down.
Looking towards the rock she shurged it off, "Nice to meet you Mosi!" She said with a grin, "Oh say if you visit priderock often does that mean you know Xu?" She asked looking at the female with her ears perked up.

Mosi raised an eyebrow at the little one at that. It seemed like a strange rule, but to each their own. Mosi was like her mother, she wouldn't press an issue unless it was of some benifit to do so, and she saw no reason to bother with it. However, there was one thing that did make her pause, turning away from her objective fully for a moment to face Zuri.
"Xu? Xu Wu Hui? Yeah, she's one of my aunts, er, half anyway. Why, she a friend of yours?"
Simple curiosity, that was all.

Zuri was now sorta nervous wondering if she'd risk going along with Mosi and the chance of getting caught. She did want to see what the rock was like.
"Yes, that Xu. She's an aquaintance at the least. I ran into her a while back looking for someone to play with and we watched the clouds." She said with a soft grin.

"Sounds like somethin Xu would do... How about I take this to Pride Rock and then, I dunno, maybe I can go get Jing or Xu and bring em' back to play with you? I might be a little big for the games you guys want to play, but.... I'll watch so your parents don't have to worry."

Zuri grinned and giggled, "Sounds like a good idea." She said nodding her head softly as she looked at Mosi, "Ya'know I'm sure we could find something we all could do together. Then you wouldn't feel so much like you're having to watch us." She offered the other female.
She watched the other twitching her tail softly as she though about things they might could do.
