((This is Synn's history, of why he doesn't have a mother...))

Synn could feel his body awaken, and his first reaction was to feel for the warmth besides him. As soon as he found it he opened his eyes to see his mother, her chest slowly falling up and down. Not thinking anything of it he nudged her.
"Mama! Mama, wake uuup~! I'm hungry." The older taur's eyes fluttered open, and she looked down at him. A smile split across her face and she stroked his hair before falling into a coughing fit. With the thought of her son needing her help, she tried to stand up, but her knees gave out and she collapsed back onto the ground. Synn, being quite young, only knew that he was hungry.
"Mama! I'm hungry!" He said again, and she smiled faintly at him.
"Mama can't help you right now, baby." She forced out of her mouth before immediately regretting it. She couldn't even try harder? Again she strained her muscles and pushed herself up. Panting, she walked a few steps before falling again. Her chest heaved up and down, and she sunk lower to the ground.
"Mama!" Synn had started sobbing now, his mouth open and a loud wail emitting from it.
"No! No, please don't cry, Synn!" She said, on the verge of tears herself. Her legs ached, and all she could do was watch her son.
"No, no, no. Come here baby, Mama's sorry." She searched her head for anything but it only caused a headache to erupt.
"Want to know a secret?" The wailing stopped, and she covered her eyes with her hands.
"Come here and I'll tell you a secret." The boy immediately got up and stumbled over to her.
"Now, this is important." She began. And knowing it was the only thing she could do, she started telling him about food. Everything she knew. How to tell if a berry was good, different leaves that were edible, muchrooms, fruit. And Synn, the young boy, buried himself in it happily. To him, it was all a secret. He knew how important those were.
