Okay, there's nothing particularly special about what I'm posting. Nothing any outside observer will notice anyway, but the picture I'm showing you is special to me because it is the first time I've actually used any image software to colour a handrawn picture (well, besides that world map I drew, but that doesn't really count). Anyway here's what I'm babbling about: Opinions? I'm hoping to do more pics using PSP soon, so watch this space. :p

This is very nice! I'd like to see more from you..
My only crit is that his pose seems a little stiff. You've demonstrated that you can draw Sonic well.. so how about drawing him in more of an active pose(his usual running perhaps) and posting him here? I know we'd all like to see it.
Nice coloring job for the first time, also.
Keep it up! heart

Thanks, Chibi... I have a really bad habit of doing characters in stiff, samey poses... I definitely need to expand. Don't worry, I'll try to make sure the next pic is a bit more interesting. I was focussing quite heavily on drawing a good pic of Sonic just standing there...

LordEon Thanks, Chibi... I have a really bad habit of doing characters in stiff, samey poses... I definitely need to expand. Don't worry, I'll try to make sure the next pic is a bit more interesting. I was focussing quite heavily on drawing a good pic of Sonic just standing there... To me, you've managed that. The colours're good and smoothly applied, the level of shading's not excessive, the proportions're all there... He's not doing anything dynamic, but it's a good pic of him just standing around being vaguely brooding.

That is a pretty good picture. Nicely proportioned, well styled and shaded... no fault to be found with it.

Hmmm, thanks for all the positive comments. It's muchly appreciated! smile I've actually just finished my next picture so while I think about it, here it is: cool .png" /> I've been a bit more adventurous this time. My pictures all suffer from having nothing in the background and too much empty blank space. Fortunately that hasn't have to be the case now. smile This pic is of Silky Fox, a character belonging to a good friend of mine that appears in my comic. I was aiming for her to look 'sexy' in a cute way. :p

Very nice picture, Master Eon. I like it very much, everything's spot on from pose to colouring.
Damn that fox has huge boots!

Yes, her boots are quite big, aren't they? Either way, thank you, Samwise!
I think I'm getting the hand of colouring in PSP... The only drawback is that it's not done on paper so without printing the pics off I've got nothing to put in my art folder... I need to buy a printer. :p

Quote: (Blinks) Nice work... particularly on the colour balance. Thanks! I actually found balancing the colours to be quite tricky. I went back and redid a lot because I wasn't happy with my first attempts; I was making it more complicated than it actually needed to be. Thanks again, Xag! It's appreciated. smile Quote: Can I ask two words? Commission Me? You can certainly ask, but I don't think my art is anywhere near good enough for me to receive commissions for it. Sorry. ^^;

Nuala LordEon You can certainly ask, but I don't think my art is anywhere near good enough for me to receive commissions for it. Sorry. ^^; Ummm... I think he's the judge of that, not you. wink I suppose so, but part of me would feel very guilty in accepting money for drawings that, in the grand scheme of things, are mediocre at best. Besides, what's the going rate for a piece of amateur artwork?
