The day was beautiful and sunny, when most would be out in the sun and enjoying themselves. 'Twas not the same for the slim brunette that was standing inside one of the local baby supply store. She gazed down at strollers at the present moment, lightly tapping her chin with one of her index fingers. Come on, Gen, just make a decision. she thought, furrowing her brow a bit as she tried to decide if she wanted the powder blue stroller with teddy bears or the yellow stroller with kittens. They're both so...so babyish. Then again, what else would they be? The sun must have been messing with her brain a bit.

All right, so Raj was alone this time. Rian had been asleep when he decided that the will-be-baby's room was too empty, and so (partially out of fear of getting snapped at ) he'd gone to the baby store alone. Even if he really had no idea what he was getting. A.. crib, right! And a stroller.. But they didn't know the gender.. Oh, this would be bad.
Then he decided that a boy would have to deal with a girly one because those were cuter.
He'd trotted happily into the store, violet skirt fluffing up around him as he skidded to a halt in front of the small display of strollers, almost bumping into a poor woman. "Ack!"

"Ni!" The petite poor woman was bumped, and she stumbled a bit before she turned her bright blue eyes to look at him. Genevieve opened her mouth to yell at him, but paused. Wes had been after her to be a bit nicer...and wasn't this the best place to start? She merely shifted her skirt a bit before she spoke. "I'm sorry, I must have been standing in the way." A hand went to run through her long hair, moving it away from her face.

"No, no, no." Raj said absently, straightening himself up and glancing towards the strollers. "Nah, I was rushing." he said after a moment, letting out a slow sigh. "I shouldn't run around like that - could have knocked you over and you'd've been hurt." he frowned, wetting his lips before turning his gaze from the strollers to the woman. "I apologize!"

Genevieve blinked at the quick explanation and apology that the man gave before she smiled a little. "It's okay. Maybe it was both of our faults." She paused and looked towards the strollers once again. Her eyes remained there as she searched in her mind for something else to say. "Are you...looking for a stroller as well for a little one?" was the best that she could come up with without sounding like a complete and total idiot.

Raj waved away the first comment, yawning quietly. "Mm-hm! A little girl." he smiled brightly. "I guess you are, too, then." he cleared his throat, immediately holding out a hand and giving the woman a polite nod of the head. "I'm Raj Yoshida. Nice to meet you?" He grinned, proud of himself for remembering to introduce himself.

Genevieve nodded. "I am indeed. My own is due sometime soon." She paused when Raj introduced himself and returned the polite nod though her smile was not yet so bright. "Genevieve Aranel. 'Tis a pleasure to meet you, Raj." She shook his hand, her own touch being incredibly cold to most beings. "What's her name, your child?" she asked, dropping his hand after a moment.

Raj shifted a bit, feeling awkward. Ah. The hand was.. Well, maybe she'd just come from a cold place? Or.. not.. "Aaah, the sweetie's called Ria. Just got her actually.. I guess we grabbed her ahead of time, though I doubt my lover would have.." he paused, tilting his head to the side. "How'd you know it was a she?"
