Is it possible?
If so, how?

I`ve never seen it done. But its probably possible. You`d need a big a** pic.

Actually it can be done with fingers, it's a little tricky, I can barely do it with some distortion, but my buddy Steve does it clean on his Brawley.

Its definatley possible, I do it quite a bit. I wouldnt suggest doing pinched harmonics like you would on guitar because its sometimes hard for bassists to choke up on thier picks to the point of playing a pinched harmonic. I prefer to just use the very thin side of the pick and then as Im picking through the string just put my thumb on the string. Id suggest cranking your tone and using some distortion so that way your pickups can pick up the squeals and stuff better.
Ive seen it done with fingers too, Stu Hamm does it quite a bit
