So the other day I finally decided to give zombies movies a try, when I rented the original "Dawn of the Dead."
It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, but zombie movies aren't exactly my favorite type of horror flick. I was impressed, though, by the special gore effects for its time.
Anyway, what was your first zombie movie? How'd you feel about it? What other zombies movies should I try out, if you would like to suggest any? (I would prefer another zombie movie with an actual good plot instead of senseless people-eating, thanks.)

My first zombie movie was either the remake of Dawn, Return of the Living Dead, or 28 Days Later. I don't remember. But I thought all three were good.

Dawn of the Dead was my first Zombie movie, back in the mid 80's...after that I consumed every Zombie flick I could get my hands on...
Some of my favorite living dead flicks are the Dead Quadrilogy-Night, Dawn, Day and Land- the remakes and reshoots have also been decent.) Throw Shaun of the Dead on the list, as well as Dead Alive, The Return of the Living Dead series is good for a laugh....and just for fun throw in My Boyfriends Back, which is in no way a horror flick, but it's still some undead fun!

I think my firest zombie movie was day of the dead. i liked that one quite a bit. the original dawn...i dunno couldnt get into it. i think the blood might have been too red, thats a quirk of mine cant stand it if the bloods too red or too watery.
as for 28 days later..just didnt like it.

The original Night of the Living Dead on some TV thing Stephen King was hosting on TV in the 80's...like Stephen King's World of Horror or something like that. My latest Zombie Movie was Vengence of the Zombies starring Paul Naschy.
Those huge box sets of DVDs are the greatest entertainment ever!!!

My first Zombie movie was a Stephen King's pet cemetary, which was okay if you like old movie's like that. I don't know I just can't seem to get into good old movies but are willing to give them a try.

mine was Evil Dead back when i was 11 that movie got me into horror movies and good luck actually trying to find a zombie movie with a really good plot and not just people eating, i at least perfer the actors be good actors. but the zombie movie you wont like is definitely The Dead Nextdoor it cost over a million to make it yet it's still low budget... but i think they had a good story to go with. and check out Dead Alive its from the guy who made Lord Of The Rings.

But 'Dawn' was my first major zombie-based movie.
