[[This is an RP between Paramekia (paramekia) and Milkshake (Synta), please do not post without permission.]] Once again the royal steed found himself in a new location, this time he had finally left the 'sanctuary' of the forest and had taken to exploring the meadows beyond. This was not something he considered to be fun for there was little shelter from the sun and the burrs were insistant on clamping onto his beloved garb - it would take him hours to remove them.
Nevertheless, the stallion was delighted to at last leave the immediate vicinity of the shoulder tall grass and released a small sigh of relief as he was no longer forced to wade through grass and was instead, allowed to progress at an even pace across the more grazed area of the surrounding lake.
Eventually, he came to a halt at the still and otherwise undisturbed lake and allowed himself to steal a glance at his own reflection, one that was very pleasing to the eye from the shoulders up but also one that caused him great displeasure from the shoulders down - accursed burrs! With a small huff from his nostrils he had no other choice than to twist round and proceed to unceremoniously remove them.
...All of them.

With the sun beating down on the colorful mare she couldn't but neigh with delight when the glistening of a lake caught her attention. Locking her warm eyes on the thirst-quenching water that lay far ahead, she made her way into the tall meadow grass that flourished around it. The grass was adamant on poking the mare's face and, since the mare was of smaller size, blocking her view of the lake. The mare had to leap up every once and awhile to make sure she was still on the right course.
Finally, the last blade of grass passed over her shoulder and the lake was shining straight ahead. The mare hurriedly trotted over to its edge and lapped up its cool, refreshing water. Once satisfied, she twitched her skin her annoyance at the knots in her hair and coat. "What is that?" Looking over her shoulder she saw clumps of hair held in place by burrs. "Aw!" she cried softly. "My coat! I won't be able to get all those out by myelf!" She thwapped her hindquarters with her tail but only managed to get her tail more tangled with the new burrs. Seeing that this was useless, she layed on the grass and rolled around, but that only compacted them in. "How am I going to get these all out?"

Disturbed.
Paramekia gave another 'huff' through his nostrils and briefly looked up, his amber eyes fixing themselves on the mare as she rolled about in a rather thought provoking manner before him. Admittedly, he could only assume that she hadn't seen him as of yet and rather than embarass her even more he decided to take the chivalrous approach for once, it would leave a better impression with her and he considered that more beneficial than a bad one for the time being.
"Try using your teeth, m'lady." He replied softly, the words rolling from his tongue with such depths that they seemed to have emanated from elsewhere as opposed to through his mouth. Even so, instead of holding his gaze on her he soon dropped it once more to attend to the burrs on his own garb, finding it surprisingly easy to grasp the majority of them...It was only his mane and tail that he would find to be a challenge unless...
His gaze slowly drifted towards one of the fallen trees and the jagged remains of it's trunk that had been left. Could anyone say the word 'brush'?

Milkshake's unique blue and purple eyes lifted to the stallion that stood above her. Startled at the fact that he was so close and she hadn't even noticed, her worries were allayed when he spoke. He spoke politely and with depth and Milkshake's first thoughts were that he could be trusted. I hope...
Raising herself to her feet, she took his advice and pulled the burrs out with her teeth. "Hee, thank you. It may have taken me awhile to figure that out by myself. The effects of thirst, of course." The mare's voice was almost complete opposite of the stallions. Hers was light and smooth, and leaked the warmth and compassion she felt for others. "Oh, what did you say your name was? Mine's Milkshake." Pulling out a few more burrs, she spat them on the ground, her face reflecting the disdain she felt for them. "Nasty little things, they are."
(( I have to go eat supper, not sure if I'll be able to get on afterwards. ))

"I did not give a name." He responded smoothly as he pulled the last of the burrs from his front and very delicately dropped them out of his mouth where he had stored them within his cheek. That done, he lifted his head once more and calmly brushed the remainder from his sides using the horn ornaments bound within his hair - in fact, he was making rather swift work of it all to say the least!
Soon satisfied with his clothes he then turned his attentions to his mane and although he had heard the mares question, opted to wait a little longer before introducing himself so that he may be certain that she deserved to know his name, it was a precaution of course, just in case she decided to use it against him for some obscure reason.
"And if you are thirsty I would suggest that you take the opportunity to quench it. It is a sign of dehydration when you crave fluids, it is bad for you." He pointed out delicately before releasing a chuckle and very carefully drawing his rather long mane across the broken trunk to forcefully remove the burrs.
"But it is a pleasure to be of service to you and to meet you." He added.
