Umo rested comfortably outside the swamp lands. He could still smell the lands damp scent; so he hoped this would be a comfortable spot for his mate and daughter to come and relax a bit together. He knew for a fact that Kikawaida did not like to leave hte swamp lands much and he hoped that this small distance was alright with her. He knew also, that Kina wanted to wander more and why not feed her slight want with a bit of fresher air? Laying his form out on a large angled rock, under some leaved tree; Umo waited for his family to join him in the comfort of the healthy breeze and the warm sun. He closed his crimson eyes slowly, enjoyed the rocks coolness. Almost made him sleepy it did. Shifting his weight so that he might doze a bit. Laying down his head; he drifted a bit.
It was strange, how much he loved being in the swamps. Though he did miss the Kusini; though he only knew Asi and Ari. Perhaps he'd wander back a bit wiht Kina and have a visit. Kina would enjoy that. He'd have to bring it up with Kika when they arrive.

Kinamasi was in the lead for a change, though she hobbled along, her left foreleg weak compared to the rest she bounded ahead of her mother. she was older now, less afraid of the world and excited to see more of it "Come on mother!" she giggles pausing to rub beneathe her mothers chin before bounding onwards. She could see her dark father in the distance leaping up to hi, and pouncing on his tail. She was still a child after all. She could enoy these times.
Kikawaida smiled, nuzzling her only child and shaking her head. "Calm down kinamasi" she whispered ehr voice as ever like that of the whispering wind. Padding up to her mate she head butted his shoulder before nuzzling his cheek in her usual loving greeting. "hello umo" she puurrs smiling lovingly at the big dark male.

Traveling slowly behind the lioness and cub; though just out of view was Kajji. He had been tracking his father for a few days now and was anxious to see him. Pausing, he sniffed at the air picking up his fahter's scent. Speeding he up he called out loudly. "Father?"

Umo smiled when he spotted his family coming towards him. His eyes popped open; his tail curling over the rock as he moved himself so that he could get optimal cheek rubbing with Kika. He reached over and slid Kinamasi over to him so he could get a good lick on her head before she protested. "Hello Kika. I am glad to see you out in the open like this... I hope this is a comfortable distance from the swamps. I was not sure." He said, his voice flat but he was smiling his usual loving smile. "I see Kina was more than happy." He said with a laugh.
Umo opened his mouth to speak again, when a sound of someone calling their father came to his ears. He looked about curiously; only to see someone larger than he used to be; when Umo had last seen him. Umo stood; his tail curling as he walked down off the rock and stood beside his mate. Was it who he thought?
"Kajji?" He spoke, his voice flat but his eye wide. His long lost son? He looked to Kina and Kika. Could it be. He looked back. "Kajji, is that you?" He said, walking towards him slowly.

Kikawaida smiled at her mate. She wasn't comfortable out here, but what else could she do but smile and bear it. It was her mates wish that Kinamasi see more of the outside world before she got it in to her head to elave of her own accord. Sighing lightly the pink eyed femme nudged her made with her head and smiled "not too far" she whispers, her voice as always an airy breeze of a thing.
Kinamasi never usually protested when her father hugged her so she simply smiled and rolld her eyes. Her father wa so soppy sometimes. Of course when somone called father her ears twitched and her deep red eyes fled towards the young male heading in their direction. she stayed still as her father stepped over her, peerong around his legs at the young male whom was approaching them. Who was he? Was he talking to her father? Raising a brow she looked up at her mother confusedly. before turning her attention on her father for answers to gher red eyed questions.

Kajji picked up his pace, jogging towards his father. Paying the lionesses near by no heed he skidded to a stop in front of his father. Grinning slightly, he mearly stared at his father. His eyes filled with joy and excitement. "Hello father"

Umo looked to Kina and Kika with an amazed look, before his crimson eyes fell back onto the 'apparent' stranger. His paw moved foreward cautiously; not sure what to do or say. He blinked, looking down to Kina; whom he could recall Kajji being that small; then back up. Umo looked at his son. How fine he had grown. How amazingly grown he was indeed. Full muscles. His markings... This was Kajji. The small cub Umo had known. The small cub Umo had loved as a son for no one else would. Umo stepped foreward; up to his son and with a smile placed his head upon his back in an embrace. "Kajji. It is you. I should have known." He said in his usual flat tone; looking over Kajji's shoulder too the girls. Lifting his head with a laugh as he caught KIna's confused gaze, he spoke again. "Kinamasi. Kikawaida. This is Kajji. He is my adoptive son! I have not seen him in ages."
Looking to the females; he blinked. "Kajji. This is my mate; Kikawaida-" Umo padded over to his swamp jewel. Rubbing his head upon her cheek in his loving manor. " And this-" He motioned to the cub at her side. "Is my birth daughter Kinamasi.. Kina, I spoke to you about Kajji a while back. Remember?" He said excitedly.

Kinamasi looked thoughtful, she could faintly remember her father talking of a son, though he wasn't his own. That was pretty apparant even to kinamasi, she had never seen anyone with such strange markings. The lions of the swamp were all interesting though usually they didn't have such elaborate marks upon their fur. She stared for a long moment at the large male licking her khaki lips and compareing ehr own markings to this strangers, this son her father had adopted. "Hai" she said at last her deep ruby red eyes fixed upon the golden eyed male.
Kikawaida smiled and bowed gently at the big male her soft dusty pink gaze resting upon the large male, "How are you Kajii? Umo has spoken of you often" she puurrs her voice a constant whisper. The swampie coloured lioness was clearly uncomfortable out here but she was keeping herself in check for kinamasi's sake.

Kajji grinned at his father still, his gaze going to the two lioness. His eyes taking on a fond look as he peered at the cub. "Hello there little one" Turning his gaze to his father's mate, Kajji bowed slightly. "Hello"

Umo smiled at his daughter, glad that her reaction was a good one. Not many siblings took too siblings well, and Kina had never had one really. So, this was an important step in Umos eyes. Umo nuzzled her in his happiness, turning to Kika. He looked to Kajji with a smile. "Look at you. You have grown into a fine lion. I must be getting old, since you were Kina's age not too long ago. Though it might just seem like that." He said, his deep voice flat though his happiness was apparent in his stature. He looked to Kika and nuzzled her before looking to his daughter with a smile. She would be Kajji's age someday. He blinked his crimson eyes, sitting down beside his mate and looking to Kajji. "It has been so long. Tell, me. How has life been Kajji? Good I hope!"
"It has been so long." He said, closing his eyes and smiling.

Kinamasi giggled lightly at her olde r'brother'. She was delighted to see him. "You're very big Kaji!" she stated her chest puffing out and her deep red eyes dancing brightly. "Will you be coming to the swamps with us? We arn't to be out heer too long mother doesn't like it" she sounded dissapointed, though at the same time she wondered if the large male would return with them.
Kikawaida nodded at the younger male and shook ehr head at kinamasi. "I don't mind staying out for a while kinamasi, you know I left the swamps and met your father, there are some good things out there." she gazed at Umo and smiled sweetly "but there are lots of bad things too. i do not wish to anger the spirits" she states simply, her beleif still strong that it was the spirits anger which had caused kinamasi to be handicapped.

Kajji watched his father, slightly concerned. " Life has been good to me father" Turning his gaze to his sister, he grinned lightly. Already knowing he probably wouldn't be a good infulence on her. Shaking his head lightly to clear that tought, he settled onto his hunches. "I'll come back for a while at least."

Umo smiled at his children. Geese, he felt old. Kajji was so big now and if Kina grew faster than Umo could think off, Umo was very old. XD He blinked, looking to Kika with a kind smile; he loved her dearly and sometimes wished she wasa a bit more adventurous like their daughter. Blame it on his genes. He looked to Kinamasi with a smile, before speaking. "I am glad to hear it. You certanly have gotten big." He said pleasently blinking his crimson eyes. "So tell me son, have you thought about a family? It may seem quick of me to ask, but I am curious. I feel I have missed so much."
He stood up and walked around his grown son; observing his lean muscles and bright markings. He sat down beside Kajji; a smile never leaving his face. He leaned over, his shoulder touching Kajjis and said. "I have so many questions that buzz my mind.
