(( This RP is for Amari and his six childrens - oh and his mate if she wishes to join xD ))
The great lion was laying on his back in the grass, forepaws curled against his chest and hind legs stretched out so that they rested upon the ground. He looked quite comfortable and yet quite odd sunbathing in such a fashion.
He was a father to new five cubs and from the pleasant expression on his face anyone who set eyes on him could tell he was very happy and proud. Very proud indeed. His life was as close to perfect as it had ever been and he had said it often enough since that day.
Batting at his tail was his eldest and most energetic son, his pelt as golden as his mother's and his eyes perfect reflections of her own. In fact he was everything that Maawio was except for the mark that adorned his shoulder. A mark that Amari was very fond of.
Chunuka was all very new to the world but so far he had adapted to everything with an energy that reminded Amari so very much of himself.
The podgy youngster paused in his play and made to jump up onto his father's belly.
"Daddy~" he chirped musically, "daddy play now?" His high-pitched voice was music to Amari's ears.
With a loud laugh Amari let himself slowly roll ont o his side, giving his cub just enough time to scramble away so as not to be squashed. Then with a slow blink of his eyes he got himself up to his feet and peered down at the hyperactive cub whom busied himself with darting about his paws.
"Okay, okay, but where are the others?" He turned his head to gaze about him, opening his mouth to utter a low chuffing sound; his call for his children if they were awake.

And then there was two.
Kimeta'Inkawu, the precious pup with fur the color of his father's and a tail tip as black as ... well... black. His golden eyes sparkled and his half padded and half hopped his way to his father. Kim had a strong attachment to Amari, he just found his father funny. If that was anything to be attatched to, that is. Although, aside from this, Kim had enjoyed the beginning of his life with his mother and sister most. The females. And although he was still in the very beginning of his life, he'd begun to pick up rather feminine habits, and had been a handful while doing so.
And as he was right near his father and older brother he tumbled and landed face forward in front of Amari. The tiny little Glitter Monkey's eyes were shut tight and a girlish whimper was released. Finally, uncurling himself he looked up semi-embaressed at his father.
"Father?" came the soft voice. He really was too girly for his own good, and would get made fun of if he didn't toughen up. But he was young and life was prime! Surely it was only a phase he would soon outgrow. Especially with a dad like Amari.

"Oh so there are more little fluffballs awake then?" Amari laughed, the sound deep and friendly in his chest. "Two out of six...well it's not half but maybe it'll do, that is unless some of the others decide to come out for an adventure."
"dahh-ven-tureee?" The little cub mimicked, moving over to where his brotehr had fallen. He giggled a little and reached out one chubby little paw to pat at the Glitter Monkey's ear.
"You falled down!" He chirped, wiggling his little bottom and making to pounce on the other in a playful tumble.
Amari laughed again, lowering a paw to ruffle the small tuft of fur on top of Kim's head. "Don't tire yourself out already 'Nuka, otherwise you won't get to see the antelope!" He had decided he would introduce his cubs to prey creatures early so that they would not fear them as much as Mbari did...and himself for that matter.
He had already told them of what they looked like but today for the first time they were going to leave the shadow of the den to traverse across the plains to the grazing grounds.

Kim nuzzled his father's paw happily and looked afraid at the fact that his brother was gonna pounce him. The poor dark brown boy had always been rather timid when it came to rough playing. A sort of sense of 'don't want to get dirty' he supposed. It was just something that he didn't like, and he couldn't change it.
Lowering his ears back he looked happy at the thought of antelope. Being told something was a lot different from experiencing it and Kimeta couldn't wait! Sparkling eyes looked at Amari, "Rewy?!"

Not long after he noticed his dad and a couple siblings gone, Inari bounded out after them. His paws flying forward, his run making Inari look like he was going to crash head first into the ground in front of him. However, to his surprise, he didn't and kept a steady pace until he spotted his brothers with dad.
They were stealing him away! He had to save him!
Trying to pick up his pace Inari soon skidded to a stop, and tried to creep behind Amari, words playing in his head, "And now the brave hunter has cornered his prey..." Without warning Inari sprung forward, front paws held out as he dove to catch his dad's tail-
But failed.
He missed and crashed into him head on. Almost squeaking out cause his head hurt a bit. Golden eyes now looking up he grinned and stepped back, "HI DAD! They were trying to steal you weren't they? Keep you to themselves, but I saved you right dad?!" Inari lept back as if trying to prove how strong he was. But his strength long term wouldn't always really on his muscles, but his tricks...and boy did he have plenty of them ready to try.
"Where we going dad?" Inari then turned to his golden pelted brother and crouched down as if to pounce on him, but his brown pelted brother was here too...decisions decisions. But then he stood up. Perhaps pouncing on his brothers would be better when dad wasn't around...then Inari could have some real fun. "We gonna have fun dad?" he asked in a hopefuly tone. PLaying around with Amari was some of the most fun times Inari had, Inari one day wanted to make Amari proud of him.

Oh Amari was already very proud of his children! Every single one of them!
"And then there were three!" He laughed, stepping sideways to peer at the newest arrival, Inari. "Hello there, up for joining us today then, yah little rascal?" He lowered his head and licked the top of Inari's head as if to soothe any bump that might appear.
"You better hope we have fun or else!" He grinned, "or else dad will get in trouble with mum, and we don't want that now, do we?!" It was surprising the loudness of his voice had not disturbed the other cubs.
"Arrre we going now daddy?" Chunuka asked, deciding that from the flattening of his brother's ears he probably shouldn't pounce him. Ugh...Kimeta could be such a baby!
He gave a small mewing sound and stuck his tongue out at his girly sibling before turning his eyes then to Inari.
Apparently this was the question on atleast two of their minds.
Amari gave a low chuckle and raised a paw to rub their miniature tufted heads affectionately.
"We can go now but slowly so that the others can catch up if they decide to come along." He paused, smiling down at Inari, "we're going to the herd's grazing area to check out our future dinner." And with that he began a slow procession away, moving slow enough so that the youngsters could overtake him if they wished.
Any late comers would be certain to catch up if they wished.

Though the birth had taken it's toll on the lioness her figure was on its way to returning to its usual state. Her pelt was glossy, her limbs becoming more slender and her eyes full of life and joy.
Happily and quietly she padded up to Amari, her sapphire gaze falling onto each of her cubs in turn before she ran her tongue over Amaris neck and reached down to nuzzle her children. "Hello there." Her voice was gently, and one look at her expression was enough to say that Maawio was blissfully happy.
Smiling, she stretched her legs out behind her for a moment. "So, where are you off to?"
The adolescent was still growing, his limbs were long and he was now the size of his mother. Running along her side it was obvious he was extremely content, too. He was normally very nervous and paranoid, but his family had given him something new.
Although he somewhat missed being with his mother, and it being just the two of them, he was very grateful to have his father and many siblings. He was nervous and paranoid outside of his family, but when he was with them he was given comfort and was nothing but fearlessly protective. It seemed that whether he was nervous or not, like his mother when she was little, he had developed a rather bad stutter.
Creeping up behind Chunaka he smiled. "B-boo"

Inari's eyes widened as he saw Maaiow approach, "Momma!" he scurried forward and snuggled up against her leg showing affection since he wasn't tall enough to snuggle her cheek. Inari saw his older brother approach too. Inari turning from Maawio (but not before smiling at her) crouched down ready to pounce on Mbari's tail, since he snuck up on Chunuka why couldn't he sneak up on Mbari hmm?
Bending down, his ears back, a smile on his face and determined eyes shining, he sprung forward...and missed, again. He missed and fell with a plop on the ground. PIcking himself up and shuffled himself to he could just paw at Mbari's leg for a second. Then he ran adn hid behind Amari. "Dadyd can we go now please?" he asked with a grin.
He wanted to go adn see what da had been talking about! Maybe their was somehting their he could pounce on...and actually land on it this time. He wouldn't be a great hunter if he couldn't even pounce right! What kind of a son would he be then? "PLeaseeee dad!?"

"We're just off to take a look at the antelope my love." He paused nuzzling his mate with great affection before turning to look down at his cubs and laughing at the energy of his cubs.
"Yes, yes we can go now." He turned to begin walking away from the den with Chunuka trotting at his heels.
The little golden cub jumped sideways, knocking into his father's heels at his elder brothers exclamation.
"Hey bro!" He squeaked in his high-pitched cub voice. "Yah gonna come too? Is he dad?"
"Course he can, he's gotta help me keep all you little rascals in line!" The large lion joked, quickening his pace a little to force the cubs to run and catch up. Aleast if they got tired out they would sleep for the rest of day and give him a rest!
Not that Amari ever ran out of energy.
As adults went this father was still young and strong.

Inari watched Amari and Maawio and smiled. He loved his parents with every fiber of his being, he loved them with all his heart and would someday make them very very proud of him. Of what he would become when he grew older. Yes, Inari believed he would become a great lion. His dream was to become a king (though in reality he doubted that quite much). So Inari strived to get stronger everyday, and learn.
"Dad...whats a ant-a-lopie?" Inari asked curiously. He knew he got the sound of the name wrong, but he was a curious cub, adn wished to know more about this...this thing.
Inari pounced forward trying tograb onto Amari;s tail but missed as he ran forwards. But Inari would catch him! "Come back dad!" he ran after him and smiled. Yes, this would be a good day with his family.

"You'll see soon enough tyke." He laughed, slowing a little to glance down at his two sons, one golden and one dark brown. He was ever so proud of them and couldn't wait to teach them everything he knew!
He couldn't hunt very well but this lion had other talents that he wanted to pass onto his children - especially his boys.
The way to tame a lady.
With a laugh he continued onwards and as the sun beat down he knew that from now on life was going to be good.

"E-eh?" Mbari dodged his brother and hid behind Maawio with a smile on his face. He was fast gaining the confidence he needed, but was stuck with a frustration stutter. "Y-yeah. Dad, are we going hunting?" He looked a little apprehensive for a moment.
Maawio gave her mate a skeptical lok, as if she almost knew what he had instore. Taking a look at the antelope indeed! She knew Amari better than that. However a kind smile soon graces her maw and she padded after her mate with a giggle, her eldest son following.
She was happy, so happy. Amari was here, everything was perfect and they were a family again. She blocked out painful memories of the past with hindsight. The golden adult knew Amaris intentions weren't bad, and in all honesty, it was she who left him. Her sapphire eyes moved from Amari to her beautiful children. There was only the future to think about now.
