Yes, my fellow whovians, that's right. The Doctor, complete with companion and tardis, filming in my hometown. (Ish. I'm just outside it, but oh well.)It seems for ye olde england they couldn't film in London because too many old buildings don't exist anymore. So they came to Warwick! And held up traffic, closed a couple of roads, drew huge crowds. Unfortunately, I had no idea it was happening until it was all over....So these are from my local newspaper. Edit: And to add to discussion - try and imagine what plot a doctor who episode filmed in your area would have....

Wow, I'd just die if the Doctor filmed in Detroit, but lord ALLMIGHTY will that ever not happen.
Seriously. That would never ever happen. And it saddens me.

Wow, lucky you. It's bloody unlikely they'd ever film round where I live, seeing as it's dead boring, but that's ace for you.

Hmm... I hope they never film round here. I see enough of it every day as is without seeing it on my fav TV show too.
Though if they happened to film in Manchester whilst I'm at uni...
Maybe I could sell them a few scripts! whee

Timelady42 I'd like to see the doctor talk to john so. john so is my bro! woot! rofl rofl (im from victoria, australia) Yep. Same. So there is even LESS chance of a Doctor even being here, let alone filming. Although..you never know.. As to two gaians living within 10 miles of each other...

Damn it, I'm American...no Doctor here either. Though I do live in New England, I may not live in England but I live in a place with England in the name!
I think I would faint though, if David Tennant and the rest of the Who crew showed up here. It would be the most wicked awsome think I've ever seen, but I'd still faint.

fredwise Doctor Who and the battle against the greatest evil in the world - The CHAV!! Seriously - that's the only thing that the place near me is famous for. Unless they film at an oil refinery... evil Where're you from then? P.S. I would have thought an oil refinery would be the perfect place for a Doctor Who story. Though the whole factory surroundings is more a 3rd Doctor thing than a 10th.
