...Yet still a nice looking guy.
After a very enlightening excursion to the Pablo Picasso exhibition our
enthusiastic (and somewhat nutty) teacher gave us the task of creating a
portrait in the same style of the master himself. At first I was reluctant but
once I got moving I actually started to enjoy myself very much. So here it is.
There is a version with a ship (doesn’t exactly look like the black pearl) in the
background but I rather like simplicity of just the waves. Shout if you wish to
see it anyway.

Wow, that's amazingly smooth and beautiful. Nice greens in the skin. I love the bandana!

Very cool. surprised The colouring looks great, and I think the minimal background goes very well with it. biggrin

I don't much care for the picasso style, but this is done so well!
I love, no ADMIRE the gradients int he background, as well as the fleshtones and hair texture..
Wow..Just wow.
And his eyes do look so sad.
