Most of you should know who Max Roach is, and if you don't, he's an amazing drummer who has been around for quite a while and played with many of the great jazz artists that we know. His playing has slowed down recently however due to hydrocephalus.
By now, you're probably wondering about my title and what it has to do with Max.
Currently, a new drummer has arrived at a nearby college in Edmonton. His name is Max Roach, and he's also an amazing drummer. Weird eh? I actually got to see him play once, and the way he plays is just mind boggling, from the way he holds his sticks, to the seemingly psychic way he can tell what a soloist is going to play next.
