I don't exactly remember as it's been a while since I've actually read anything about it. Later tonight I'll look through my books and see if I can find it and I'll let you know. What do you want it to be an amulet for? Protection or something?

I figured that was what you meant. You don't have to actually buy a special book for your BOS. What I did was I got a three-ring binder and just put all my stuff in there. And then I drew a cover page thing to stick in the front that has a bunch of symbols and stuff on it. All that matters is that you're happy with what you've got.

I have rings.

One turned into a charm somewhere along the way, I've been giving it to people for goodluck on tests for years now.

The other one was given to me by 4 friends... I only took it off once, when my cousin had her secundary school application talent test... I pray with it, I cast with it, I use it as a pendulum when the need occurs, it means a lot to me. Partly because it was given to me by friends and partly because it's been a part of my life for years. I feel naked without it.

I've never had much use for consecrating things. I do it every once in a while, if I happen to be in the mood. To me, a consecration is something that happens naturally, it's something that you pour yourself into. In this case, it's the ring. "To Consecrate" means to make sacred, holy... I think it's a matter of perspective. The ring is holy to me, I cannot imagine losing it. But... Let's take the Viking invasions upon British monastaries. To the priests the relics were sacred, to the Vikings they were nothing despite being consecrated.

An actor in the theatre turns a peice of plain green glass into an emerald for the eyes of the audience... The value and worth or power of things are greatly subjective. To me, at least.

I suggest not paying any attention to me, if you plan on following an "orthodox" Wiccan Path... I'm not very good with stone set rules and I think too much.
