Something a friend of mine came up with, it's his idea, not mine.
We all know what Sephiroth can do.
And then there is Meier Link, the Vamparic Noblemen, who is strong at night,(sorry i couldn't find any more data on him) MY friend came up with this idea, cause D in Vampire hunter is kind of like Sephiroth, espeically by his sword. Yet Meier Link can Pary the Sword with his Cape.

Meier Link is the main "antagonist" in the anime production, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, and also from the book, Yôsatsukô (Demon Deathchase in english), which the movie was based on. He is a vampire and Charlotte Elbourne's lover, who throughout the story must resist his vampiric urge to bite and therefore turn her.
His powers include extreme regeneration, teleportation, a metal claw that replaces his hand at will, and a large cape which transforms into a pair of razor-sharp, steel wings. In the movie, his presence is enough to cause water to freeze and plants to die.
As a vampire, Meier Link is one of the few nobles who have gained the respect (although he is still loathed) of many humans and vampires alike, as he does not kill. He is also immensely powerful, yet young for a vampire. He has been known to fully regenerate mortal wounds, such as severe burns, puncture wounds, and even being sliced in half.

I still think Sephiroth would win. It's basically a demi-god versus a vampire. You can't really kill Sephiroth. He just goes away for a while. The only reason Cloud ever beat him is because he was too busy trying to prove a point when Cloud went for the new omnislash.
Mieier Link does have the healing factor, but he's not immortal and the only reason he's able to parry the sword is because his cape turns into steel wings. The Masamune's a legendary blade with a lot of history to it that you can look up. Steel's no match for it. Look at how easily he cuts through the steel buildings in the movie. Possession would be a touchy subject because he can possess anything that's been part of the lifestream. That requires the person to be living. It's possible that the lifestream leaves the person when they become a vampire because it can also be related to the soul and it's said that vampires don't have souls.
Still, it's regeneration versus immortality, teleportation versus teleportation and the ability to turn "eather" (as a way of putting it.) and a metal claw and metal wings versus the Masamune. Not to mention Sephiroth's ability to control nature and manipulate the lifestream.
