(RP over AIM with Kimaria and Lethrossen.)
Kimaria33: Having just been attacked by his own sister one could imagine that Uzushi wouldn't be in the best of moods. However despite the fact that his neck was a bloodied mess and that the blood had dried and matted the fur from where it had rivered down his right foreleg Uzushi was in a pretty good mood.
He was lying at the borders of his packlands by a small pool of water which was almost completely dried up seeing as there hadn't been much rain lately. It was here that he lay, humming quietly and watching the dragonflies skitter over the water's surface.
The voice in his head was calm and thoughtful, leaving Uzushi to some quiet time - which didn't happen very often. He was almost always talking to someone!
as a zombie: Bini was moving through the savanah at a brisk trot, quite cheerful despite the fact she'd decided to leave her new friend, and her new pack, behind. She didn't know what had made her go out on her own, perhaps she just wanted to see some of the world. Luckily she had learned from her last experience from being by herself; avoid two legs at all costs. Don't loose yourself in moving forward, take the time to hunt. Hydration is very important, stop when you see a watering hole.
Oh! And there was a watering hole right ahead. Her tail swished back and forth as she approached it, leaning down and lapping up water. Her nostrils flared and she glanced up. Something reminded her of... something else. She spotted the other wild dog not far away, at the water also, and headed slowly over. "Hello?" She said, her brain itching.
Kimaria33: His eyes widened as he stirred from his lazy state, eyes opening fully to watch as the wild dog approached. Her sent was familiar to him and though Uzushi came across as quite a dunce he never forgot a friend. Ever.
"Bini!" He practically squealed, leaping up to his paws and moving forwards to splash through the water towards her. His movements were hindered slightly by the wound on his neck, mainly because it was close to his shoulder and caused a slight limp. "Bini that is you isn't it!" His maw parted in a wide smile, his tongue lolling.
as a zombie: So if he knew her name.... she should know his! She thought hard as he came closer, and then remembered a time long ago when she'd played with a small pup. "Uzu?" She said softly, a hint of uncertainty in her voice. But before she could confirm her thoughts, or even greet her old friend, she spotted his neck. Her eyes widened and her instincts kicked in. "Look at that wound!" She yipped and moved forward, now face to face with him. "That needs to be cleaned!" She said, her voice worried.
It was too bad she'd left her pack, she would have made a good care taker.
Kimaria33: He nodded, wincing at the motion, but never ceasing to smile. "Yup, it's meee~ Where have yah been all this time, have you got any--" He trailed off as she noticed his wound and took a small step back, paws moving clumsily in the water around him. "Nah it's fine, it don't hurt all that much." He wished it wasn't so obvious, but with the fur all torn out the wound was there for all to see.
He'd have to hide out of his pack's way for a few days, he didn't want his sis to get in any trouble. Plus it had been partly his fault.
as a zombie: "No! That needs to be cleaned." Her voice had taken on a slightly demanding tone, and she would clean that. "Uzu sit, let me clean that.." She said, a pleading look in her eyes that didn't go well with her demanding voice. "Then I can tell you adventure stories!" She added, almost as if she was trying to persuay him to agree.
Kimaria33: "Adventure stories!" His eyes glistened and for a moment he looked torn between decisions. Then slowly he moved out of the water, sat down and looked at her. "Well...okay, you can clean it but make sure you don't tell anyone. They can't know about it!" He was quite adamant to hide his sister's wrong doing, because despite the fact Twawa hated him Uzushi had nothing but love for her. She was his sister after all.
He set his eyes on Bini and wondered what stories she would have to tell. No doubt they would be very good, Bini was always so much fun!
as a zombie: "Tell who?" She followed him and once he sat she sat herself slightly infront of him, but also slightly to the side. She leaned forward and began to tenderly lick around the wound, at some of the dry blood. She didn't really like the way her own species blood tasted, but it had to be cleaned so it wouldn't get infected.
This was almost amusing, they hadn't seen each other for ages.
Kimaria33: "My parents..." He sniffed, lightly cringing as she began to clean the wound. It felt sore but Kalpana gently reminded him a wound had to feel worse before it got better. The seer side of himself was his calming side, his intelligent side - that was if he chose to listen to it. "They'll get mad and I don't want them to." It was obvious there was more to the wound than what it first seemed, but the wounds were not made by antelope for they held the gashes of teeth marks.
No, they couldn't find out. He was worried abotu what would happen to Twawa if they did.
as a zombie: Bini was eyeing the wound as she listened, ears perked. "Your parents get angry if you get hurt?" She sounded displeased. The cleaning was going quickly enough, most of the dried blood was gone. It was now just the wound itself, which would probably hurt more when she cleaned it.
Kimaria33: He nodded slowly, turning his head to peer at the wound. It look icky but it was better now that all the dried blood was gone. "Yeah...well maybe." He turned to glance away, almost ashamed. "I got into a fight with my sister. I said...mean things and she got angry. She said...she said I was stupid and that she hated me."
He sniffed and it was clear these comments had hurt him more than he had let on at the time. "I don't want her to get in trouble though."
as a zombie: Bini didn't understand this kind of love, she'd never had siblings. She'd never faught with her mother, either. But she suspected that would be different too! After another few minutes she'd finished cleaning that out. "Now don't get it dirty." She ordered, then gave him a tender smile. "I'm sure she was just mad, Uzu. How could anyone hate you?" She hoped the words cheered him up, even if it was only a little bit. She moved away and toward the water, leaning down and drinking quite a bit. Mostly it was to get the taste out.
After her second drink she turned, and decided the topic should change. "So, want to hear my adventures?" She laughed slightly. They weren't very... good adventures, but still good stories all the same.
Kimaria33: "She wants to rule the pack someday...but she's too selfish to lead. The others will turn on her and try and chase her out...I don't want that to happen. But when I told her she got angry. She does hate me, she said she hates her whole family." He breathed deeply but it shook and one could tell this distressed him quite a bit.
At her change of topic however he instantly brightened and shook his head madly. "Eeeee I'd love to hear all your adventures! I've not had that many so it'd be good to hear your own. I bet you've had lots of great times!" He settled in preparation to listen, ears perked forwards and eyes bright.
as a zombie: Bini grinned and layed herself down in front of him, lounging on her side. "Well some are great, some arent. I found myself a pack!" She grinned, and then frowned. "Well, that was a while ago. I learned to hunt and a little bit about caring for wild dogs..." She even learned about puppies! Bini had been very ignorant most of her life.
"But I went out hunting one day, we were traveling to our new lands and were resting on that day... And while I was hunting I got hit with some shiney thing! It was long and pointy, like one of those spikey thing's quills." She never knew what aporqupine was called. "And I fell asleep!" She gasped, hoping the story was good in it's telling, if not in its context.
Kimaria33: Uzushi's eyes widened as he listened, her adventures certainly did sound very scary! "Did the spiney thing hurt when it hit you? Was it...magic!" He almost exploded with excitement, tail wagging. "I never knew there were magic spines! I better be careful I don't sit on one!" He giggled and his eyes shone.
"Were you asleep very long?" He was a very curious creature.
as a zombie: She grinned and giggled too. It must have been magic... though it was a two-legs weapon, so who knew? "Well I'm not sure how long I was asleep... it sort of hurt, but only for a second I think. When I woke up I was in such an odd place! I was in a two legs den!" She squeaked, ears shifting slightly.
Kimaria33: "Two-legs! Those are the...hoo-mans that my pack was talking about!" He thought back, "Kalpana told me about them and she showed me them in a dream. Apparently they took one of the pups from this place and everyone's been worried about it." He huffed, "they shouldn't have let the pup go running off!" His tail beat upon the ground once.
"Sometimes my pack is so irresponsible, they need more dogs like us who are smart and...knowledgable." He nodded. "But if you're here now then the hoo-mans can't be that bad? Maybe the other pup who got taken is around somewheres too!"
as a zombie: Bini's face instantly turned to worry and a little bit fearful. Two-legs took one of their pups? She whined slightly and shook her head. "I don't know if all two-legs are the same... but Bini didn't have that great of a time in their pack lands. They had dogs like us.. only they were very mean. They hurt me a lot, they didn't like me cause they said I was a barbarian..." She glanced down to her paws and then back up at him.
"And the two-legs tried to make me do weird things, like help them hunt and pull heavy things and.. stuff. They didn't even feed me right! They put my meat in some sort of glowy, hot light and when they gave it to me it was... disgusting, really." She took a minute to let it settle in.
"They even tied me up! So where I went was restricted... Though one day Another wild dog wandered by.. and he tried to help me get free... but then one of their dogs came." She frowned, that hadn't been a good night.
"A couple of days later I did escape though!" She grinned at this, because it was a happy thing.
Kimaria33: He listened to her ordeal with a sinking heart and suddenly felt something he had never felt before. Something close to hatred. Bini was the only other Wild dog he had met that was like him, innocent, carefree and happy. Someone like her did not deserve to be put through such hardship.
His tail ceased to wag and his ears drooped slightly as he shuffled forwards and nuzzled into her neck fur the way his mother did to him if he was sad. "I'm sorry Bini. Hoo-mans are mean creatures and those other dogs! They should not hurt good doggies." He frowned and sighed realising how unfair life could be. "You're not a barbarian Bini, your the best doggy I've ever met!" He yipped.
as a zombie: She giggled and nipped his ear, tugging playfully. "There's more! After i got free I went searching for where my pack might be.... Actually, I might not have even been here if it wasn't for anothr guy that found me. I forgot to hunt!" She said with an embaressed giggle. She'd been so determined to find her homeland that she'd forgotten all about her well being. "But anyways he got me to water and helped me with food... and in short order I was better!"
Her tail flicked a little. Wow, Uzu had gotten big. It had taken her brain a while to realize this, with him being hurt and she telling stories. "I got back to my pack with help of the male.... but I decided I wanted to find new things." She said slowly, her voice lowering. She wasn't sure what had made her leave those lands, but she had.
Kimaria33: He listened, wondering who the other was who helped her. "I'm glad you found someone to care for you! It would have been sad if you had gotten hurt again after escaping." His nose twitched. Uzushi was probably not even aware of how big he was now. He would never act like an adult, his mind set completely in puppy stage.
However it was this innocent side of him that gave him his charm and it made him who he was.
"I'd like to go see the world too. I need to keep an eye out for the rainbows, but I've been told they don't come very often until the rainy season. But as soon as I see one I'm going to go!" He seemed very excited about this. "Kalpana told me that I will find something amazing if I reach the end!"
as a zombie: She wondered who Kalpana was, they sounded very wise! "Oh, I should come with you!" She said, delighted. "Or.. well.. or are you making that journey alone?" She wondered what it would be like to find the end of a rainbow.
Kimaria33: Uzushi looked surprised and happy at the same time. "It would be good to have company! I love Kalpana but she...well she is always telling me what to do and she's hard to ignore." Yes...a voice in his head would be hard to ignore. "Journeys should be shared cos then more can enjoy them!" He chirped. "So you're welcometo come along when the time is right! Do you know where you'll go now?"
as a zombie: Bini grinned, tail swishing back and forth. After a moment she shook her head. "I'm not sure. Maybe I will hang around here for a little bit... Uzu has a pack here?" She raised her brows, looking around. She really just ment was he in one.
Kimaria33: He nodded and looked somewhat hopeful for her sticking around. It'd be good to have someone to chat to who actually understood him for a change. "Yup, my parents own it so I've been here all my life though I'm not taking over when dad gets old. That's for one of my other brothers to deal with but I don't care cos that's too much responsibility. I'd rather just have fun." He nodded, "Bini would be welcome to stay for as long as she likes! I doubt dad would mind very much."
as a zombie: Bini yipped happily and jumped to her feet. "Good, I would enjoy that!" She nipped at him slightly. "Would you like to play a game, Uzu?" She was in a playful mood, she hadn't gotten to play with any other wild dogs in a long time.
Kimaria33: "Yay!" He got up and bounced away from her in a playful manner, nodding furiously. "OKAY!" He was a little enthusiastic when it came to playing games! "But what sorta game?" He tipped his head slightly to the side in a curious manner. It was clear he would be up for pretty much anything, wound or no wound. He never let anything get to him.
as a zombie: "Hmmm, uhm, I don't know!" Her tail wavered back and forth. She was already reminding herself that it couldn't be something too hard, she didn't want his wound to open again. "We could play hide and seek... or i spy!"

His nose twitched and for a moment he looked deep in thought and then suddenly with a small yip the young male seemed to have come to a conclusion.
"Hide and seek sounds like fun!" He squeaked, ears swinging forwards to regard the adult. "Should I be hider or seeker?" He questioned, obviously quite eager to begin. He hadn't played in such a long while - or it seemed that way atleast.

Bini giggled. "The seeker!" And with that she began to run off. "The boundries are what you can see from that spot!" She called over her shoulder. She wouldn't go too far. It was too bad they were not by a stream, and he'd be counting right by the watering hole. Water was good to disguise scent!

"Okay!" He agreed wholeheartedly, turning away and lowering his face to cover his eyes with his paws.
He'd count and give her a chance to hide. How long would she need anyway? "One, two, three..."
If you like, I can help you.
"No Kal, that's cheating! Four, five, six--"
But it's no fun if I just get to watch.
"But you always know where the hiders are!" He continued, "seven, eight, nine, ten" He leapt up then and turned to look about him. "Okay, here I come!" And with that he set off, trying his best not to use his nose too much. He did prefer a challenge!

Bini giggled from her spot in the tall grasses, crouched down low and trying to stay as low as possible. Uzu was visable from where she was. The trick of the game was to move around, sometimes it was even fun to follow the seeker.
She wondered if that counted as cheating?

Do you like her more than me? Kalpana asked in Uzushi's mind as he breathed out through his mouth and gazed around the land. Apart from the water hole there was the long grass, the odd dotted trees and boulders as well as thick undergrowth. There were so many hiding places and Bini was so good at camouflaging!
"Like Bini more than you?" Uzushi repeated with slight confusion. Apparently he was unable to detect the slight jealousy in the tone of his imaginary friend. "I like you both the same! I don't have favourites!"
With a small huff he moved to duck his head low, peering through the tall grass as he moved, trying to listen for any signs that Bini was nearby.

Bini couldn't hear Uzu talking to himself, she was too far off. She began to crawl off to the left, and after a bit she'd gotten back to the watering hole. She sat up, easily seeable, to look and see where Uzu was. Spotting him she crouched down low again and slowly began to make her way toward him. This would be amusing!

I don't think you realise how much I love you Uzushi. Kalpana whispered softly, It is my job to keep you safe, to make you aware of happenings in the world. I think it best you not let your heart get too attached to another. It was clear that the seer half of Uzushi had become stronger with age.
The seer in him was not really Uzushi, in fact half the time it was like having two minds trapped in one body, the mind of an intelligent being forced to lie dormant in the body of a carefree idiot.
However Kalpana did not mind, she loved Uzushi.
"And I love you too Kal, you keep me safe. But I love Bini too, now sshh! We're supposed to be quiet!" With a small snuffle he sniffed at the ground but found no scent nearby. With a confused sound he raised his head and glanced towards the horizon.
How far could she have gone?

With a playful growl bini suddenly sprang up and dashed forward, leaping to tackle Uzu. "Ah hah! The tables are turned as the hider gets the seeker!" She called out joyfully.

Apparently Uzushi was completely unaware of why Kalpana should be jealous. He was naive when it came to 'falling in love' and 'girlfriends' and 'making babies.' In fact he probably wouldn't believe the story of how babies were made even if he heard it.
However he was suddenly aware of someone approaching him and could not react until he felt a weight pressing down on him.
"Ahh! Bini!" He squeaked, wriggling to get free, trying to roll onto his side to be able to look at her - as if needing to make sure it was her.
"You're a hider and a seeker all at once!" He yipped, tail beating the ground.

Bini laughed and flopped onto her side when he moved away, giving him a cheeky grin. "The ultimate hide and seeker champion!" She said, joking. She rolled over and then nipped at his paws a bit. "Do you want to hide now?"

He could not help but laugh at her grin, eyes shining as he saw how happy she was. Smiles like that were contagious it seemed and soon had him smiling back like a complete goof.
"Okay! I'll hide now!" With that he wriggled up onto his paws, shook himself and darted off.
Now...where would be a good place to hide?
I could help? Kalpana offered hopefully.
"No! No cheating, remember?" He whispered as he slunk off through the long grass.

Bini shut her amazingly blue eyes and breathed calmly a few moments. "One, two, three.." After that her words were very soft and the number's weren't formed that much. She more or less kept track in her head. Sometime's she'd say one out loud, "eight.... ... ... .. . .. ten.. ." just so if Uzu was nearby he could hear that she was really counting.
After a little bit she opened her eyes. "Here I come!" She shouted as she got to her feet and shook off some of the ick from her fur. Her head swung around, trying to figure out which direction he hid in.

Uzushi was not too far away, in fact he was lying in a patch of long grass, crouched low with belly and chin flat upon the ground. He would not move...yet. So he was as still as a statue, watching and waiting.
Unbeknownst to the clueless wild dog, he had lain close to an ant nest. It would be this which would prove a bad mistake as he would soon find out.

She kept her mouth slightly parted, panting and trying to keep breathing through that. She didn't really like not breathing through her nose, but it was the fair way to play. She began to move forward, eyes flicking over the land. Oh! A rock! She headed that way, in the opposite direction of Uzu. She peaked around it quickly with an accompanied, "gotchya!" And then her ears fell. "Oh, maybe not." She said, and then giggled. Okay so he wasn't behind the rock!
She turned around and headed back the way she came, there was a tree not far off from the watering hole! Behind that! She was walking right past Uzu! She was a terrible seeker and it never occured to her he could have hidden in the grass, just like she'd done.
