Time pays us but with earth and dust and a dark silent grave.
All of their songs are SO amazing. Right now my favourite song is Dark Chest of Wonders.
I just wish I had heard of Nightwish long ago! Its like... 'where have they been my whole life!?"
xd
I absolutely adore all Nightwish lyrics too.
Without innocence the cross is only iron, hope is only an illusion and Ocean Soul's nothing but a name...

I agree, after all this time, now I feel like all those wasted years on crappy music *no really xd *. Tuomas is a genius when it comes to composing music and writing lyrics. And just because Tarja is gone he's not letting the Nightwish legacy fall. And if he does I'll club him to death. >=]

I too agree. 4laugh
I still remember the day that I first bought the once album, from then on I llistend to that album religiously.
After that my love for the band grew when I started buying more Nigtwish albums and listening to each album every day when ever I had a spare moment of time.
Now that Tarja is gone all I can do now is wait and pray that the new singer will be just as good as Tarja was and also pray that the new album will be great aswell.
Nightwish is truly something special and should be shared with other music lovers around the world.
I pity anybody who has never heard the music and or the name of the great band Nightwish.

Nightwish was so dorkrageous when I heard it.
I loved it.
First song ever was Stargazers. For a slightly nu-metal fan like me - it was scary as hell and awesome. I don't think I'd ever been put into a different place by music quite like nightiwsh tends to put me somewhere else.
But I still - to this day - cannot understand what the hell Tarja sings in Stargazers. I understand all the other songs... But the lyrics to stargazers?
Sounds like another language.
Oh how I love nightwish.

I feel the same, I really wish I heard about Nightwish a lot sooner. The frist song I heard was Nemo, when I was in Ireland a few years ago, and after that I didn't listen to any of their other songs until early last year. Also, I seem to be following Tarja more then the band. I love the band, obviously, but Tarja is just wonderful (I want her solo single albums!!!!! O_<).

yeah! I've only heard of Nightwish recently, because of the Internet. But I've been obsessed for months.
I wish I'd heard of them a lot sooner. Though I spent so much time listening to crappy music, lol just like Lil Bloodred Ridin Hood xd

As a vocalist my self, I admit Tarja is great. I really do look up to her as a role model in that sense.

Heh, I've known Nightwish for years and loved them deeply all this time. Kicking out Tarja made me so sad gonk I'm still completely scared about how the new album is going to come out, as it's just... if the singer isn't good it's going to be such a disappointment.

My exact thought as well around three years ago.
I had just gotten the Internet and was an Evanescence fan.
I loved Quizilla and had a very romantic love for the phantom of the opera.
So that's what I type in.
A Nightwish song appears and that is the first song I ever listen to.
I loved them to death since.
And - like many - I was sad, but not sad enough that I thought Nightwish had combusted itself, when I heard Tarja was gone.
She truly is an amazing singer.

All we can do now is just kick back and watch another chapter unfold in the Nightwish story.

I love Nightwish. I came across them by looking fo the main theme of Phantom of the Opera and got there song instead and loved it as soon as I heard it. After that I listened to more and eventually developed an all around interest in them.

mmmm...Dark Chest of Wonders was my favorite for a while.
I never really loved a band until I found Nightwish...now I'm obsessed.
I have The Kinslayer stuck in my head right now.
