Nar'hyel sat amidst the flowers, turning an expressionless and somber eye on them from where she'd been watching the lethargic flow of the stream, dazzled by the golden sparkles caused by the sun reflecting gaudily on its surface. There was a cool crispness to the air, but the same sun that adorned the water's skin warmed her back, and she smiled, a rare expression for her that would be quickly remedied, should she come across any other. But for the flowers, the serene stream wandering nearby, the gentle sunlight...she could smile for them.

(( -using violet for now since I am not home XD ))

Alec stomped his way through the flowers, taking his anger and pain out on what was beautiful and serene around him. He kicked up some dirt, taking a handful of Marigolds with it. If he couldn't feel happy, then why should anything around him? As he buldozed his way, Alec came upon a creek. Even the creek couldn't hide it's europhia. Well, Alec thought, then I'll have to make it appear like I feel the same as the world around me. Placing his orb by his feet, Alec sat by the creek, and willed himself and his emotions to be invisible. He didn't notice his orb had sprung a leak, and a purple mist was seeping through.

As the male came stomping through the flowers, a brief annoyance crossing her face before its features returned to their usual, expressionless state. "And just who do you think you are?" she asked coldly, tucking her orb under her arm as she pulled herself to her feet, planting the other hand on her hip, seemingly not bothered at all by the strange purple mist that was escaping the boy's orb, though secretly she was jealous...he must have already figured out what his orb was for.

Alec looked up into Nar's blank eyes, taking in their void of expression. But, as he looked deeper in then he could clearly see that she was rather upset with him. Standing up to meet Nar eye to eye, he responded.
"I think I am someone who could do anything he wants, that's what I think I am" he grumbled, eyeing Nar up and down and considering how many cooties he'd obtain if he had to take her on.
All of a sudden, Alec felt the changes in his orb. He gasped, and crouched down to his orb.
"What did you do?!" he whined, afaird to touch the orb, for fear the gas was posionious.

"I do?" she asked, letting a small amount of amusement creep into her otherwise flat, cool voice. "It's your orb. You are the one doing this. It is not me, nor my problem." But she was interested, and a bit annoyed, though she made none of this visable. "You should strive for more control."

"Control it..?" he asked, considering the thought. In truth he was still afaird he may have posioned the two, considering his mood. He watch his orb, as it emptied itself out in the world. Could he really control what seemed only a part of the wind?
Looking back at Nar, he said "Tell me how you control yours"

Oops. Of course, Nar had yet to figure out her orb...she was pretty sure she couldn't do anything, yet. "It is none of your concern." she told him, hoping she still sounded the same as she had before. "Each of us is different, and that includes our orbs. My methods would not work on your orb, as yours would not work on mine...if you had any."

Who did he think he was? Who did Nar think SHE was? Treating Alec like he was inferrior to her. And she was a girl no less, contaminated with cooties and the ability to mess everything up, like most girls.
"I have plently of method, thank you. Besides, you wouldn't be much help anyways, seeing as you're a girl and all." He stuck his tounge out at Nar, snubbing her and her orb. Looking back at his orb, he ran through the ideas of what his "method" could be and how he could test it.

Nar stood in shock for a moment, before her eyes clouded over- the only emotional response to his words. What was wrong with this boy? Was he stupid? "I'm sure I wouldn't be." she replied, her tone somewhere between agreement and sarcasm, leaving it very hard to tell if she was serious. "Considering the fact that you have no idea what to do with your orb, and all."

Alec could not believe her defiance. Was this girl going to really up him in every way? He stood up and walked over to face the blonde sprite, forgetting the distress his orb was in. Keeping his pride was a more important task.
"Well, seeing as you or obviously smarter than me, why don't you put your money where your mouth is and prove that you are worth something." he leered, crossing his arms over his chest and expecting something from Nar.

"I have no need to prove myself to an utter moron." she informed him cooly, shifting her orb to rest underneath her other arm. "I will not stoop to your level. Not to play your childish games of pride or for any other reason."

"Or maybe it's because you are as far in the dark as I am. You talk so high and mighty, but you have nothing to show for it. Only cowards and giirrrls act that way." he laughed, clearly trying to upset Nar as much as she was him. And he was trying to find somewhere to escape this disagreement. Maybe it was one of those days.
Meanwhile, the mist began to solify as Alec's emotions became more and more intense.

At this Nar'hyel flashed him a grin, though it was strange to call it such, because it looked almost predatory. "It is a pity, then, that you will never know." she told him, her monotone strangely incongruous with her twisted grimace- had it really ever been a grin? "I do surely pity you, if you did not notice, but I shall take pity on you, the dim-witted, and inform you nonetheless- I am a girl."

He scowled at her, trying to not let his anger get the upper hand of him but failing. He stepped torward Nar'hyel placing his hands forward and pushing her down.

Nar didn't make a sound as she was pushed over, but a tear escaped her as she hit the ground, her orb rolling away, and then falling- plop!- into the stream. Then, she gave a wordless screech, rushing after it, though her face was yet blank. She didn't think of retribution- oh no, that would come later. Now, she just wanted her orb back.
