I proved that Dir en Grey is like, zomg better than Evanescence, so check this out. I'm proud of myself.Isel Broken666 Isel Actually, Evanescence really does suck.
Give me one good reason why they don't, and I'll give you two reasons why they do. Okay, thier music is beutiful, Amy has the best voice I have every heard, their lyrics are beutiful, Amy a is great down to Earth person, they accually care about thier fans, they aren't in it just cause of fame and money... Shall I go on? Don't even get me started dude! mad To beat you the hell out, I'll use Dir en Grey as an example.
1. Dir en Grey is not a group of mall-metal trendwhores like Evanescence. 2. Kyo has a much greater range of vocal pitches and techniques than Amy Lee. 3. Diru's band members manage to write lyrics about a broader range of subjects than just the darkness death and suicide rigamarole. 4. Evanescence IS in it for fame and fortune, or else they wouldn't write such along-the-grain songs. Dir en Grey's music is full of disgusting subject matter (Mazohyst of Decadence was written from the point-of-view of an unborn child being aborted.) 5. Diru is willing to show a sense of style that isn't major-label-friendly. 6. Diru's stage presence is much more attention-grabbing. 7. Diru pleases their fans by releasing more music, rather than sleeping for years, and coming back, when forgotten. They released three full-length albums in three years. (kisou, MACABRE, VULGAR) 8. Die and Kaoru are much more talented guitarists than Evanescence's. 9. All the members in Dir en Grey get equal media attention, whereas in Evanescence, the attention is centered on Amy Lee and Amy Lee only. 10. For the people that know the English translations of Diru songs, you don't see 12-year-olds listening to that kind of song if it was written by an American band. You do, however, see 12-year-olds listening to "My Immortal", which is a song that they probably don't even understand the meaning of. 11. Dir en Grey continues to produce music, despited being reviled in their home country. If that were to happen to Evanescence, they'd disband. 12. Dir en Grey's members leave certain parts of their personalities as mysteries to the public, whereas Evanescence wouldn't have a problem bearing it all.
You gave me six, I gave you twelve, just like I said.

I'm proud of you too Isel. That's what I like to see when people dislike a band... you make valid reasons as to why you don't like them, rather than just saying "omg they suxx0rz!!!11"
*+1 respect for Isel.*

I like Evanescence's music and have been listening to them since they were underground, but I've been listening to Dir en grey since they started and I have much much much more respect for Diru. Isel gets 100+ bonus points from me for that. heart

I feel warm and fuzzy now.
She logged off after I posted that...
I'm gonna wait for her, because I went in her thread trashing Evanescence at about 3 PM, then she came back at 10 PM and revived her thread, who knows if she'll come back and finish eating her words? They're gonna get cold just sitting on the table like that.

That was my first point earlier that day, and she called in a bunch of friends to say "He knows not what he says!" and "We can re-educate him!"
...
My only regret is still having this Evanescence CD sitting in my CD rack. I only keep it to amaze people with the size of my CD collection.
