Kk. So we used to have SBC Yahoo. They were allright, but we had problems and their customer service was all outsourced, didn't speak english very well, and probably had only seen a computer in pictures.

Then we got Charter. Breath of fresh air. English speaking, cheap internet deal, faster than the SBC yahoo we had before. Occasional problem with disconnects at night, but something we could deal with. And for a while, it was good.

So then we get the offer for internet telephone. 10 bucks a month we were told, with features to high heaven and long distance across US and Canada. Too good to pass up, we thought. And for a while, it was good.

And then the bill came.

We had been about two months late with the internet bill, and it was a measly 42 dollars which we would soon pay. But add the phone charges on the bill, and we've got a bill that went from 42 dollars to 150 in a SINGLE MONTH.

The internet phone which was promised to be 10 bucks a month came out to over 80 bucks.

What the ******** hell?

And on top of all that (we got the bill abouts friday) today the internet started ******** up. Disconnecting randomly. I call customer service and am informed of what's called a "Soft disconnect". Call it a gentle reminder from the internet provider that our last payment is overdue. They, according to the dude whose accent I could not identify, the lady, and the lady's supervisor, "downgrade our service" to let us know our payment is late. That equals random disconnects to the magical internet phone and internet service whenever "the system" feels like it. And because the system does it, you can't negotiate them out of it, and it'll continue until payment is recieved or they come unhook everything. So it disconnects completely randomly, even when trying to call THEM to work it out.

We have no way to pay them until friday, and even then I'm not paying the insanely bullshit phone bill.

It's been a long time since I've been this pissed. I'll be searching for yet another internet provider soon, and hoping that they'll be better than the last ones.

I'd go kill things on TFC or Natural Selection if I had a solid enough internet connection to do it.

I got Verizon DSL and I've had no problems so far >_>

Sasktel is perfect. Fast speed, good customer service, etc. But of course, you can only get it in Saskatchewan, Canada.
