Mbaya had been to hell and back lately. Falling in love with Hakan had brought much more than she had truly expected. She'd told him how she'd felt too, and in turn he'd shown her his feelings. The malicious adolescent had become weak bitter and was actually friendly to Kimya. She'd remembered apologising to her before she'd ran off to get some space.
What bothered Mbaya the most was not that she'd lost the fight, it was somewhat to do with the fact that Hakan was now stronger than her, but it was that he had claimed her. She'd let him. She'd been willing and she was damn stupid. Now she had a burden she'd have to carry for the rest of her life.
Yes, it was only a little visible at this point, but Mbayas belly was full with a slight curve, she'd been even nastier than usual of late, and there was definately an alien feeling within her. However since her act of foolishness, she'd picked herself up off the ground and would deny her feelings for Hakan, and just go on as if nothing had happened.
Who was she kidding? Cubs? Bloody cubs. She almost snarled at the thought, but imagining Hakans face when she told him gave her something to smile about. However she felt repulsed by the beings within her, and it was only after she realised she was pregnant that she began to think of using the cubs to her advantage. They'd grow to be great warriors, just like Hakan and herself. She'd take no nonsense. That was for sure.
The moody lioness pulled herself up and started a steady walk, finding the extra weight off-putting. How could she fight like this? She threw a dirty look towards the ground. Perhaps she'd kill them. Yes. That was the answer... She was just too selfish. Mbaya would either kill them once born or use them to her advantage. She continued to walk, hazel eyes glazed over in deep thought.

"And that's why we shouldn't let anyone pick on us." Hakan had been telling his brother all about how rogues should be treated equally - if not better than pride members basically because they were better, stronger and...better! It seemed he very much liked sharing his views on things.
"Rogues are stronger because we are not tied down by the needs of others. We need only look out for our families and that's it." He flicked his growing mane from his eyes and let his eyes scan the bones around them.
"But hyenas are the worst. They're so pathetic, thinking they're as strong as us. Hyenas don't deserve any respect what-so-ever." He huffed and flicked his ears. "Slobbering, mangy beasts the lot of them. They don't have the dignity of us lions." He kicked idly at a bone blocking his path and sent it skittering away from him, the sound loud in the strangely quiet place. "That's why they live here in this miserable place instead of out there in the plains where the real food is."
He spoke loudly and there was no doubt that if Mbaya was close by she would have heard it echoing all around.

Kamal watched as the bone clamored away, a small smirk crossed about his face. He had never been an articulate fellow [which alone was a bit on an understatement], but he enjoyed listening to Hakan. Although he had deluded himself long ago that they were equal, it was quite obvious who was the one who called the shots in the brotherly duo, and Kamal probably wouldn’t have had it any way. He was the muscle, after all!
“Sloppidty fellows.” The growing male remarked sharply. Growth had once again caught up with the young male. He was tall and leggy, and although his back and arms were rather well developed, he was still not as bulky as he would like. If one thing had gone well in his growth process, he finally had what at least could be somewhat compared to a mane. It was scraggly and matted, and jagged in front like some had been pulled out- but, a mane, and that meant something. Well. At least to grumpy old fools.
“They’re not even dogs. They’re not anything. But I don’t think any much better about the prides. Hyenas form prides, and they ain’t any much more organized or smart. Don't smell very good either.” He admited. Not that he was a particular star of cleanliness either.
For a moment he felt the faint feeling of someone approaching- but for the most part he ignored it, just because it might look like he was worried if he started jerking his head about.

The female heard a familiar voice and swore under her breath. Composing herself quickly she listened to the rest of his conversation and when there was a pause, she stepped out from the shadows. Her expression and hazel eyes were somewhat blank, but she was still smirking as she approached the pair.
"Well." She looked Kamal up and down. "It's been a while." She spat, glaring at the unfamiliar lion. Mbaya didn't look to Hakan for a moment, hoping her slightly rounded belly would be concealed by her stance; both forearms were positioned slightly in front of her. Turning to face the dark warrior, her silky voice faltered for a moment, before she brought it back up to its usual tone, her smile sneaky.
"Hakan. How I remember our last encounter." Some would say she said it with hatred, but there were deep undertones of lust, despite the obvious mistake it had been at the time, she couldn't help her feelings for this rogue. Acting like it had never happened wouldn't work, and she knew better.
She walked past the pair, her gaze averted for a moment as she spoke in a angered voice. "Now get out of my way?!"

Hakan nodded and uttered a few words of agreement, "yeah, I don't even know how those filthy scavengers survive." He didn't seem unaware of anyone close by or if he was he didn't let on. "They probably steal from a lion's kill after it's done all the wo--"
He was interrupted by the appearance of Mbaya and his eyes flashed over her with irritation and something else. By the slight narrowing of his eyes one could tell that he clearly hadn't forgotten their last encounter. Actually he hadn't been able to get her out of his mind since that day.
His tail flicked and his whiskers flinched forwards as he snarled, "well if it isn't the princess." He sneered, his eyes falling upon the curve of her sides. "You sure did get fat since the last time I saw you." He spat the words as if they were poison on his tongue, narrowing his eyes before tilting his head to whisper to his brother.
"Perhaps the lazy Pridelander genes finally kicked in." He spoke the words just loud enough so that she could overhear.

The female’s voice was soft on his ears, but it went in and out of his skull about as quickly as Mbaya made attempts to get the two out of her way. Kamal blinked, and honestly, had no idea who this was. He tried- he really did. It wasn’t that he didn’t remember going onto the pride lands and picking a fight with the little female so long ago- he just didn’t appear to have the ability to age those around him. For all he knew, that little female was still a cub.
But Hakan knew her- and within a few moments of dialogue, he figured out the only things he needed to know: Princess, pridelander, fat. Under his breath he smugly chuckled, swiveling his tail to the side while Hakan blatantly whispered the observation. "What a pride for even the princesses to go to waste." He remarked lowly- but also in earshot of the agitated looking female.

Now she was pissed off. The hormones were playing havoc with her already malicious personality and her eyes narrowed at Hakan, her voice low. Mbaya snarled. "Well I'm sorry warrior." She mocked.
The sand-coloured female turned to Kamal for a moment, her eyes narrowed towards him. "Oh is this your sidekick again, your little partner in crime?" Her tail flicked in an agitated way before settling around her back leg.
"FAT?!" She was normally calm, sneaky and spoke gently but nastily, however that comment just enraged her. She glared at Hakan, anger burning in her eyes until she calmed down.
"I'm not fat. Your just gonna be a dad." She smirked. This could be revenge. It wasn't that Mbaya was happy with the pregnancy, but she couldn't wait to see Hakans face, although she should be ashamed for falling pregnant too, she hoped to shift some of the burden onto him.

Hakan bristled but took a small step forward intent on blocking his brother from any sudden attacks. He was fiercely protective of his siblings and would choose to hurt Mbaya over letting down his brother.
"Well now, someone's a little moody today." His words were slow but mocking and his hackles rose as he spoke. The love he had for this female did not come without it's violence.
However her next words halted him in her tracks and his expression became a mix of many emotions. Disgust, horror and surprise all evident in the widening of his ice blue eyes.
"What the feck are you talking about you little--" He paused, apparently lost for words. "You lying, filthy--" But as he stared at the roundness of her stomach and thought back to what had happened between them he felt his heart sink.
He had been given temptation that day and he had not resisted.

Kamal bristled somewhat at the remark, but let it go when insults quickly began throwing themselves back and forth too quickly to grasp hold of. But they suddenly stopped when this female suddenly proclaimed that Hakan was going to be a dad. It took a moment to compute- and at first, he thought perhaps she had mispronounced the word ‘dead’. That certainly made more sense in context.
But then- much like Hakan he started looking downward. The belly, the look- wait a second...
“That’s quite a claim!” Kamal remarked bitterly. “How is he supposed to know it’s his?” The male snapped. “Just because he’s the only night meeting you can track down?”
Meanwhile- Kamal was also having a quick mental appifany. s**t. He had to find some lady to bare his children now!

"I didn't ask for your damn opinion." She spoke to Kamal bitterly before she turned to Hakan. Her ears were flattened and her eyes narowed.
She gave a flat laugh as Hakan accused her of being a lier. She had no doubt that he remembered that night as well as she did. A smirk almost appeared on her face. Mbaya could laugh at anything, she was sarcastic, and had she possessed more intelligence there would have been more reasoning behind her violence and malicious behaivour.
She was a little too foward and downright nasty to manipulate anyone, though if she was good at it she'd certainly give it a try. She was also no actress and found it hard to conceal her emotions, normally to wind others up, she would be more patient, but the hormones released during her pregnancy meant insults were flung without timing.
"Fatherless and with a mother who doesn't really care." Her voice was bitter once more.
"Perhaps they'd be better off dead."

He growled, claws unsheathing as he leapt forwards, his face right in hers as he snarled his next words. "Don't you dare say that. Ever!" Her last words had made him angry and why shouldn't they?
Hakan was a family boy. He loved his mother and adored his siblings and he would never, ever abandon cubs whether they were accidents or not.
"If you say anything like that again Mbaya I swear I'll kill you myself you...you..." His jaw set firmly and his eyes flashed with rage. "If what you say is true. If you are having my cubs then I'll be damned if I abandon them." He hissed, hackles bristling.
"You lay a single claw on them and you won't live to see another day. Got that!?" Then slowly he began to regain his composure, glancing at Kamal from the corner's of his eyes. "And don't talk to my brother like that. Ever. He's higher up in my favour than you are right now."
Wow...what a way to treat a girl you loved, eh?

Mbaya snorted, her raging hormones settling for a second, sarcastic gaze running over Hakan. "Anyone would think you were the pregnant one."
Her hazel eyes narrowed as she stepped foward. "Honestly Hakan..." Her silky voice trailed off as she wrapped her tail round her back paws, lost in thought.
Would she ever kill her cubs? No. The answer was obvious. "Though I am no family lioness, I will raise these cubs as they are my own." She suddenly snarled at the thought of youngsters running about. Never would she have seen herself in this mess. Never.
"I will train them to be warriors, just like their parents, but I will not need the help of you."
Her voice was cold and echoed throughout the graveyard. "You are a fighter, not a father." She knew that was a huge contradiction, as she was not fit to be a mother, but honestly that was the only harsh remark she could think of at the moment.
((Sorry for posting before you, Were! -needs to have Mbaya say everything and this finished- I go away for a week soon, so x3.

Hakan wanted to be a father? This new equation in Kamal’s head was perhaps more destructive then the idea of his brother having sex before him. Kamal paused for a moment while the two argued, and swished his tail. Although Kamal himself was devoted to his small family, he’d never thought about that family expanding. And he’d certainly not thought about actually being a good father. His opinion up until that point was that most fathers did what their father had done- they knocked up some girl, and walked away from it. The idea of sticking around changed his vision somewhat- as if it wasn’t obvious enough that he took all of his cues from his elder brother.
When what could be construed as coherent thought in Kamal finally bubbled back up, his ears perked forward just in time to hear Hakan threaten Mbaya, and the pregnant female’s backlash. Smugly, he twitched his tail- more then a bit pleased that he presently ranked higher then the mother of Hakan’s cubs.
But- he did somewhat respect the argument, and for the moment, kept his mouth shut. A rare thing for Kamal.

(( now it's my turn for a late reply, I must have forgotten to reply to this yesterday despite having the window open on this page @__@ ))
"No!" He snapped, teeth clipping together. "No! I will not allow my children to be pushed down a road they might not want to follow!" He seemed adamant about this, but with two parents who deemed themselves warriors was it already too late to try and protect them from it?
His heart sank as he thought of raising cubs to grow and be like him and as he stared into Mbaya's furious eyes he knew that he'd already lost this battle. She would teach them to fight whether he liked it or not and he could not stop her.
Perhaps secretly he liked the thought of warrior children, his family continuing the strong line given to them by their supposed firekin bloodline. It was in their blood to be strong so why let them deny it?
His ears drooped a little but he kept his snarl neatly fixed in place. "How do you propose to hunt when your belly swells? How do you expect to hunt for yourself and your little ones when they depend on you to keep them safe? No, Mbaya, you will not freely admit it but you need me and I'll be damned if I let anything happen to you or the cubs." A slip up. "Or the cubs atleast." He shot her a filthy look and then slowly shifted back to stand next to his brother. "And don't think you can hide from me because I will find you my love." The last words were rasped from his throat to only further express his anger.
"We're getting out of here." He muttered to his golden-pelted sibling, though if Mbaya had more to say she had ample time in which to do so.

Mbayas eyes narrowed. "Since when have you cared, or had a concept of caring, Hakan?!" She snarled, her gaze darting from Hakan to her stomach, almost disguisted. She was angered now. Angered that he thought he had control over this situation. These were her cubs, she'd do as she damn well liked.
"Im the pregnant one, its my decision, From my influence it's a path thats bound to interest more than one of the cubs!" She snarled again at his further comments. "I do not need you, I can fend for myself."
Her blazing eyes fixed onto his deep blue orbs, she didnt care if she was leaving, her malicious voice echoed. "No doubt it's an inconvience Hakan, but I will not see this as a curse." What was this? Affection for her unborn cubs? She was disguisted with herself.
She just wanted her warriors. To use to her advantage. That was it.
She had no concept of love! Looking at Hakan she felt her heart beat faster and knew she was lying.
