Areli rested herself in the cool shadows of a short tree, that stuck out of the ground just beyond the edge of a river... this lioness seemed to like river, the sound of it sway lightly, and it almost seemed to help her cool off, since it was always right there whenever she got too hot.
The orange lioness yawned, her golden eyes flicking closed for a moment, before she lowered her head, gazing around the grasslands calmly.

An imposing crimson figure appeared in the shallows far upstream.. A magnificent mile, seemingly carved of garnet and adorned with a golden mane, waded down the line of the river slowly, the water stainging his legs and belly dark. He gave no real notice to the Pride Lands around him, always alert for danger, yet in a relaxed state... He knew from the scent the lioness was nearby, but was rather surprised when she came into sight. A grin danced over his muzzle as he continued to wade closer, and his voice came out as a snap. "Playing Lazy Hunt Mistress?" He almost growled, his grin now gone. "You should be doing something for the good of the Pride! It is I who should be lounging!"

Areli's eyes twitched open from a five-second snooze, and she once again yawned, pushing herself up to a sit. "Does hunting until the bottom of your pads are red with blood and blisters, not show what I have done for the pride...?" she asked tiredly. She had just went hunting again, a small one for herself... because once again, hunger had come over her. If there had been humor in Rellick's voice, Areli probably wouldn't have caught it... Because it seemed that this lioness was still half asleep at the moment...

Rellick sloshed out of the river, concern overwhelming his feigned anger. He halted before her, gazing down with empathetic golden eyes. She seemed weary, irritable, upset. He hadn't seen her like this in, well, he wasn't even sure he could remember when. "What troubles you?" He asked, abruptly shutting his teeth before any sort of endearment could slip out. "Areli."

"Nothing, King Rellick... just slightly tired. Hunting, while at the same time making sure Jax doesn't attempt to hurt his brother, can make you tired after awile." she said, then truely smiled. "But I'm fine." she said, slowly pushing herself on all fours.

"Keeping brothers from killing each other is not "Nothing"." He said with an arch of his brow. "Trust me.. My mother had three boys to keep seperate, and I am sure she would swear most ardently that it is no small task..." He bowed his head with a memorable smile, wondering how his mother was with her latest children, a daughter and son. With a toss of his fine golden mane, he turned his eyes and attention back to the lioness before him.
