You know what I'm talking about; it's the one guitar (or in some cases several guitars) that you want to play, but have never seen or had the opprotunity to play. For me it would have to be a John Petrucci model Ernie ball Musicman guitar, or the Ibanez Jem 7V. I'd LOVE to try either of them through the amp I've never tried; a mesa boogie stack (so long as it's got one of it's patented lead channels I'm fine).

I want to try a Carvin Bolt, with and without the Wilky trem, since I will definately be getting one as my next major guitar purchase, after i get my new amp (also a Carvin, most likely).
The only issue is you cant try them out at all, unless you live in California, since you can only buy directly from the factory or the factory shop. However, the good thing about them is every last one of them is made in the USA, and are custom made for you when you order (you get to choose wood, finishes, tops, headstocks, frets, fretboard, pickups. . .). another good thing is that because you buy factory direct, the prices are cheap as s**t.

A buddy of mine has a carvin 6 string bass which looks like it could have been custom built. It's one hell of an amazing rig too....active pickups, wicked playing... oog....

Well it was either custom built or he bought it from their "In-stock" list. (Unless he bought it used, which means the guy before him either got it custom ordered or bought it in-stock).
But I've been looking over the Carvin guitars alot lately, and I'll be damned if I havn't been droolin over the Bolt. . . I'm thinkin either dark green or deep purple. . . black hardwear and pickguard. . HSS. . .stainless frets. . . mmm. . . *wanders off into dream-land*

I wouldn't say I have a dream guitar. But, I would like to go to a flea market or local small shop and find a little gem you never thought would be there.

This might sound really odd, but I want to try a Gibson Les Paul. In 2 years of playing, I have never played a full-on Gibson Les Paul. sweatdrop I would love to play the incredibly cliche HCSB Les Paul Standard. cool I also want to play a Jackson Soloist. twisted

i need to head over to my cousin's some time and play his SRV sig strat. He took out the custom pickup, though, cause they sucked a** when combined with his playing style.

Actually... I've seen alot of guitar. Jimmy Pages signature double neck, Satriani and Vai signatures...
I haven't even seen Slash's signature Les Paul (the old or newer one). I'd love to play that. You guys do know that Slash is from England...right? o.O And he only moved to LA when he was ten....
