Ealier that morning, Daimyn and Ausi'Juu had agreed that as long as they didn't stray too far away, the cubs could go explore on their own. For a while she stuck around a sibling or two, but eventually she grew braver and was now wandering alone.
Actually she was stalking a mouse. It was nibbling at something in the tall grass, completely unaware that there was a curious lion cub approaching from behind. Her eyes wide and tail quivering, she pounced, not really expecting to feel something wriggling under her paws. Letting out a short shriek, she drew back and the mouse darted away, long gone.

Jini was out on his own as well, but didn't need permission of any sort. In his cubhood he had often prefered to stay close to home unless he was tagging along with Mosi, but lately he was content to roam the grasses of the pridelands and enjoy the warm sunshine. On his own like this he wore a bright smile and had a confident, if clumsy, gate. Alone his sensative nature couldn't make him bumble or feel awkward. Though it seemed he couldn't win...being on his own made him lonely. Despite his happy smile he felt a little sad instead. Awkward or no, he'd rather have company.
His ears perked forward for a moment as he blinked in surprise. He heard a shriek and moved forward quickly to find a cub who looked oddly familiar. Hesitant, he finally asked, "Um...a-are you ok...?" She didn't look hurt or anything.

Choa's turned in surprise. "Bwa--? Oh," her ears flattened and she reddened under her white fur. "I, uh. Yeah, I'm fine," she finished lamely, with a last glance the toward the direction the mouse had run off before turning back to the tan cub.
"I'm Choa. Who're you?"

Jini felt his ears flicker back sheepishly as he offered a nervous smile. Silly how someone his age could act embaressed around a cub! But boy was that name familiar...He flushed under his fur in embaressment. He had heard his parents talk of his grandma and her cubs...Choa had been one of the names mentioned. So this had to be...his aunt. Wow. Talk about even more of an awkward moment here.
"I'm...ah....Jini. It's very nice to meet you, Choa," he told her with a sweet, dorky smile.

Her ears perked forward, in much an opposite reaction from Jini's upon learning each other's names. "Oh! You're Jini! Mother told me about you and Mosi." She was practically bouncing with the prospect of finally meeting the family members her mother had told them about.
"So uh. I bet you know all about the Pridelands huh?"

Ah so....she knew who he was, did she? He smiled a little more, feeling a tad better. Well, at least there wouldn't be the awkwardness of being family and not having them both know it, right? Though he still felt shy, even though they were related. Mosi would probably laugh or tease him if she saw but...he couldn't seem to help it. "Ah...I s-suppose so. Mosi knows far more then I do," he said humbly, with feelings of admiration for his sister's bold spirit.
