Ah, sweet. Van Halen. My first big time concert, and man, was it awesome.

Favorite album- Probably tied between 1984 and their self-titled album
Member- Eddie, of course. But DLR is right up there too.

Have to finish post later, I have to go to bed. It's 9 minutes to midnight. (Man, how I wish it could've been two minutes to midnight. Just so I could say that. sweatdrop )

I was talking to my mom about VH and she told me a secret.

Back in 1989,my mom worked at a Hertz Rental Car place at the airport. And EDWARD VAN HALEN came up and said 'Hey lady.Lookin' good. Can my wife and I get a ride in the VIP car to avoid these crazy fans? That'd be great.' HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT TO MY MOM!!NO LIE!!!

So all in all,my mom drive Eddie and Valerie around in that dorky VIP cart. biggrin heart

Sweet. A friend of mine's mom once dated a guy that jammed with the Van Halen brothers before they started the band. That's my closest connection.

Panama certainly gets a vote from me, but I would probably go with Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love - that opening sends chills down my spine every time.

The band are responsible for the most prestigeous concert of my life - 22nd May 1998, at Madison Square Gardens. It was pure chance that I happened to be in New York at the time...wow.

It's got what it takes.. So tell me, why can't this be love?

Man, I love that song.

Anyone else here a fan of Diver Down? Everyone I know just calls the bad album of cover songs, but I bought it new for $4 at a Hawaiian flea market and have become attached to it ever since.
