*Mykairen sat in his favorit chair, doing his favorite things; gazing into his orb and munching on tasty things. Having been in this place for sevral weeks, since he first came here in fact, he often found himself wondering what lay outside the walls of this place everyone was gathered in. Some calll it a palace, others a castle. Whatever it was, Mykairen's orb could not see through the thick stone walls. That was his power. He had learned alot about powers since he came here. Everyone seemed to have one, though not everyone could use their powers all the time. There had to be more than this place. When Mykairen would listen with his orb, he could hear running water, but could never find where it was.
As he finished his last cookie, Mykairen had decided to figure out how to get to the outside.
Before he even got down out of his chair, he was overcome with fear. Mykairen remembered what happens when he loses his orb. Total and complete Blindness, Deafness, and an inability to sense or feel anything. The orb was everything to him, but he was still quite clumsy. If he trips and falls in the castle, who knows what could happen on the outside.
He would need friends. People he could trust to help him on his way, and make sure he didn't lose his orb.*

*Mykairen knew a few people in the castle who might be able to help. Blaed and M'chaela, though she might be afraid... maybe if he and Blaed... and Malkav too... if they were all there, she might not be afraid and come with us!
Mykairen hopped down from his chair and decided to seek out his friends and see if they waould come with im to the outside! He hoped to meet new friends along the way too, but right now all he was worried about was finding those he already knew.
Mykairen gazed into his orb and opened up a field as wide as it would go. from there he could see Malkav, M'chalea, and Blaed's orbs.. though it looked like they may be sleeping.
He ran out the room and down the hallway in search of his friends...*

*Cassandra sat next to her sleeping friends. She would look up every now and then to see if Malkav and M'Chaela were still out, and then return her gaze to Zephyr's orb. She couldn't help but be completely absorbed by it. It called to her and she had no idea why. It was almost scary, especially when that Reina girl would try to interfere. She hoped someone would provide a better distraction soon. She was beginning to shake from the fear.*

*mykairen ran into the room where M'Chaela and Malkav was sleeping. As he entered the room he trippen and fell head first onto the floor, sending his orb rocketing across the room. The orb smacked the wall on the other side of the room and spun ad it rolled back across the room.*
*sighs* well this is one heck of a start to my day... *he grunted and he began to do what he thought was groping around for his orb. not too far from where he fell sat a little girl with two orbs. As Mykairen got closer and closer, fumbling about as he went, he slapped his orb with his had, giving him a momentary flash of life. in that instant, he realized he was practically on top of this girl who seemed to be distracted with one of her orbs. A girl with two orbs? dismissing the thought he fumbled off in what he assumed was the direction he slapped his orb, completely ingoring the girl he nearly climbed over to get to his orb.*

*Cassandra was more than a little confused by this boy climbing over her. He had dopped his orb and since was fumbling about like he couldn't see or something. What's more he managed to completely break her focus. She figured she owed him for that much and so she sat Zephyr's orb next to Malkav and retrieved the boy's orb. She put it in his hands. and spoke,* Are you alright?

*life flashed back into Mykairen's eyes and bothe his eyes and his orb regained color again. amidst the sudden flash he heard this girl in front of him ask him if he was okay. Higing his dissapointment in not being able to get his orb on his own, he smiled and looked up at her with a "I'm much better now, thank you!"
He gazed into his orb to figure out which of these two orbs she has were actually hers, and seeing now that one of the orbs still had a person inside it. Mykairen than remembered who this girl was. Her name was Cassandra. That other orb... Zephyr... it make her and another girl angry with each other once. Did this orb already have power? was it hate? dismissing all of that, he decided to learn more about this girl, and how she knew Malkav and the others.*
Your name is Cassandra right?

Yeah, have we met before? *She asked with a puzzled look on her face. He looked a little familiar though she couldn't place from where. As she went to think about it, she really couldn't remember much of anything... She remembered M'Chaela, Malkav... that Reina girl... and Zephyr's orb... She realized she'd left her own orb sitting and quicky made a grab for it. She pulled it close to her, wondering what had made her ever leave it behind.*

My orb lets mee see stuff... i watch people to see if they are safe before I talk to them... but if I lose my orb i cant see or hear anything. M'Chaela helps me sometimes... What is with the other orb?

Really? *She'd never heard of an orb doing something like that. Her's certainly wasn't anythign special like that. Realizing he'd just asked about Zephyr's orb, she got nervous. She tried to change the subject.* Oh that orb? He's- I mean it's nothing. So, you can see stuff with your orb? How far can you see? Can you see outside this place?

*noticing the change of topic, he decided he would bring up Zephyr another time*
uh... i can't see outside the walls, but I can see evrything inside... when i look at it all at once all i see is the walls and everyone's orbs. when i make the field narrow I can see just like i would if I was looking normally. it isnt easy and normally makes me really sleepy if I do it alot. Does your orb have powers yet?

*Cassandra shook her head.* If it does, I haven't figured them out yet. *She looked into her orb, trying to concentrate. After a moment, sh looked back at Mykairen.* See? Nothing...
Maybe mine's defective... *She spoke soft and sad as her gaze fell to the floor.* Maybe I'm defective...

*She almost took offense to that.* What do you mean by that?! You can see all over the place with yours! Through walls and all around this whole huge place! Mine doesn't do anything! *Growing upset with her orb, she threw her orb to the ground and her eyes welled up with tears.*

Emerging from shadow Shikyo emerged. Noticing the orb that had been thrown to the grown, he picked it up and smiled at Cassandra handing her back her orb.

*shoked by how upset she got at that, he softly picked up her orb and tried to hand it back to her* This orb is my link to everything... and when i set it down... i lose everything. How is that not defective? This thing is just as much a gift as a curse... noone else has that problem...
