I'm going to be expediting at the cafe where I waitressed for a month two years ago. My mom is getting a teaching job so she's leaving the cafe, and I get to replace her. My duties will be getting orders ready to be sent out, cutting things up, and making sure containers stay filled. My mom trained me from 11:40 until 2 something today. Mostly I made toast and cut up melons and plucked grapes for fruit salad. I made some sandwiches too.
I'll only be working one day a week for now. I start next Saturday. I'm beginning at $6.50 an hour and I can get a 50 cent raise monthly until I hit $8.00.
I'm really excited about this, because it's the type of thing I like doing. I like kitchen work and customer interaction is almost nil, except if a server is busy and I take an order out for him or her.

No, lol. I enjoy cooking but I don't think I'd like the pressure of being a chef. Who knows though, maybe I'll warm up to the idea.
