Lacavii sighed as he lounged in the tall grass of a large plain. The day was warm though he was not enjoying it very much at all. The grass around Lacavii trembled with movement as a little rainbow cub came out of the grass and pounced Lacavii. It was little Ori, one of Ezhno and Twisted cubs. They had asked that he watch the little cub while they went looking for the other cubs that had decided to play hide and seek and left sleeping Ori on his own.Ori growled at Lacavii as he pounced the teen and then climbed up onto his side and tried to nibble on his leg. However he let go when Lacavii began to growl. "Aw! Lacavii play with me!" Ori said and then began to pout as tears formed in his eyes. "You don't like me..."

"Hey...Lacavii!..whatcha guys doin?" said a small voice, as Yiska poked his head through a bunch of grass before trotting out to sit nearby. He'd decided to go for another of his walks while Naida was swimming, and had happened to hear a cub's voice not far from where he was at.

Lacavii looked over his shoulder in alarm at the voice. However he quickly calmed when he saw who it was. "Hey Yiska. Just being bored mostly. How about you?" He asked as he looked over to Ori.
Ori toppled from Lacavii's back as he heard the voice of another. The voice had caught him by surprise as he'd been readying himself to pounce Lacavii's head and attack him with claws and all. Ori now layed on his back in the dirt on the opposite side of which the new voice had come from.

((Can't resist refering back to Yiska and Benton's convo last night... xd ))
Yiska shrugged slightly. "Same here...Naida's been quiet lately, think she's got a...crush, I think that's what Benton called it...so I've decided to go exploring." He giggles as he sees the kit fall off and gets up to get a better look. "Oh, hi! I'm Yiska. So many colors..."

Lacavii's ears perked at the word crush. So Naida liked someone? Oh that would be interesting to check out later if he ever got a chance. However... Lacavii glanced at Ori when Yiska spoke to him. Lacavii would be surprised if the little cub said anything at all to Yiska with how quiet he actually is.
Ori looked up as he heard the voice of the other cub above him. His eyes widened extremely at the sight of the cub looking at him and quickly rolled over onto his feet and scrambled to Lacavii's forepaws to hide himself from the other cubbie.

Yiska trotted around to get a better look at the cub, but this time keeps his distance, surprised how anyone could be scared of him. "Why's he hiding? I'm not mean..or even scary-lookin'," he said, sounding a bit hurt.
Naida trotted up at this point, still dripping a bit from her swim. She'd gone looking for Yiska, knowing she could roar and call him back, but she knew he'd never wander very far from the river. Upon hearing his voice, she thought he must be playing with a cub and hoped to scare him a bit as he played...perhaps jump out at him from no where. Crouching down, she crossed the last of the distance slowly...and stopped altogether when she saw who he was with. Her mind blanked at this point, and she merely crouced there staring at Lacavii and Yiska, her mouth opened slightly.

Lacavii eyed Yiska for a moment seeing how Ori's skittish behavior seemed to make Yiska sad. Lacavii shrugged to Yiska's question. "He's just skittish is all. He's never really seen anyone outside of myself, his mother, father and siblings. I bet he just needs some reassuring." Lacavii said as he looked down at Ori and nudged the little cub with his nose. "Come on Ori. This is Yiska he's my friend. He's harmless. He just wants to play with you."
Ori turned his body to look up at Lacavii curiously and then looked over to Yiska and quickly curled into a ball in the crevice betwee Lacavii's foreleg and chest. "I don't know him." Ori said in a barily audible whisper. He was almost so quiet he wasn't even heard.
Lacavii just laughed. "Oh! Ori you're so playful with your brother and sisters. He's not a bad cub. Play with Yiska."
Ori peered at Yiska but still didn't move. His quietness mixed with unsurity of new lions kept him from moving from his spot beside Lacavii.

Naida kept still where she lay, slowly letting her muscles relax....she didn't want to ruin the moment, and she had a nice view of her crush. The little kit Yiska and Lacavii were playing with would probably be scared our of his wits to see a lion with fins, so she made no move to approach.
Yiska pouted slightly, but understood what it as like to be scared so he remained where he was, cocking his head slightly to the side. "Lacavii is right, Ori, I'm not a bad cub, I promise, if you want, we can play tag? That's alwasy fun..."

Lacavii grinned at Yiska and watched Ori. The little cub seemed to be so shy it was such unlike him. A light breeze blew through the grass and Lacavii perked his ears at a familiar scent carried on the wind. "Yiska? Are you here alone?" Lacavii asked knowing for sure he had caught the scent of another, a familiar another.
Ori meerily stared at Yiska. Tag did sound fun but Yiska seemed to big and scary of course Lacavii was bigger but Lacavii wasn't a threat he was a friend. Yiska was new even though Lacavii said he was ok he couldn't be sure to trust him.

Naida cursed her luck realizing she was upwind, and for a moment wasn't sure what to do. Finally, realizing she really had no other choice but to show her presence, began slinking forward toward the totally confused and sparkly cub who'd been her intended target in the first place. Poking her nose out of the grasses, as if having not noticed Lacavii or the small kit there, she gently took ahold of Yiska's tail feathers and tugged gently.
Yiska cocked his head, completely confused at Lacavii's question. "Yeah, why?" He started to look around, wondering who he might of spotted, and that was when he felt a tug on his tail. Jumping in fright, and trying to run at the same time while his tail was being held, made him flip over onto his back where a very startled Yiska came face to face with his "attacker." Laughing, he twisted and pawed gently at her muzzle. "Naida! That was mean...you scared me!"
Naida let go with a soft chuckle and moved out into the open a bit more. "That was the point, little one. It's not as much fun when you know it's coming, now is it?" She nuzzled his tummy, making him laugh a bit harder, then looked up at Lacavii and very colorful and beautiful kit. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything, I just couldn't resist the chance to scare Yiska."
