Sorry if this is already a topic, but ...you don't really expect me to read them all do you? eek

I just wanted to hear your opinions about if it sounds ok for me to think of this as I do.

I like guys. I think that they're cute, even sometimes hot. I talk about them with my best friend, even watch their butts as they walk away. Does this mean that I want our crotches to thrust together? No. Not at all. I like kissing without going to that part, and yada yada.

Anyway, my point-

Is it valid to consider myself a heterasexual? Meaning, that while I am attracted to males, I desire no extreme physical means with them?

In such a way, I suppose someone could be homasexual or biasexual too. [If that sounds all right. sweatdrop xp ]

Or do you think that asexual is just asexual? No need for classification like that, and take it as is?

I think some of you might be agreeing, as in to say "Yeah, I'm Heter/Hom/Bi-asexual!" but others may not. It may be obvious...but, I dunno humor me? sweatdrop

Some of us say heterosexual asexual, and some of us say heteromantic (or is it heteroromantic? o.O).
I like the -romantic because -sexual is so confusing.

Heteroasexual is like... " I do not like the oposit (sp?) gender".

I think it's hetero/homo-romantic. It was mentioned a couple of times in AVEN. You might want to Google 'heteroromantic' and 'homoromantic', just in case.

So you'd call yourself a heteroromantic asexual. [blinks]

Man, I haven't posted on AVEN in such a long time. Hm. 900 posts.

I used to define myself as "heteroasexual" and was okay with it, because people didn't really notice the "a" part, thus not drawing attention to myself but not lying at the same time.
But now most of the time I just use "asexual".

Actually, this thread you made just kind of made me think. I believe I am now going to use the "-romantic" suffix. Hmm. I don't have to use the word sex at all in any context, and it reminds me of love! Works for me. Thanks! ^^

Xum - 900 posts!? eek Jeese man. That's a lot...[captain obvious]

Heteroromantic ...I like that a lot! biggrin

It is both less confusing, and focuses more upon simple love.

*Googling and finding AVEN did help* 3nodding

So thank you, for now I don't have to shoot in the dark to find some way to express my orientation. smile heart

*Hugs the posters of the thread...while being Heteroromantic. 'Tis very heteroromantic. ....

....

....

....Is Heteroromantic* whee

Some people define themselves as asexual.
Some define themselves as -romantic, heteromantic, homoromantic, biromantic. All these -romantics are subgroups of being asexual. Just chose the one that you think sounds right. What you feel comfortable calling yourself.

homoromantic, heteromantic...what about us bi folks (lol)?

I prefer bi asexual. though when people ask what I mean it gets difficult. they're all "but bisexual means sexual" so yeah....
but biromantic is even harder to explain (especially in my town and school) so I'm stuck.

Well, since the thread maker was heteroromantic, I didn't mention pan, bi or homo xp

You don't care what gender your person have. It's like bi, but still not.

Bi-person: "Girls are so pretty when they're tanned (or whatever). Oh, and I really like boys with black hair!"
Pan-person: "People are so pretty!"

I'm not sure if I'm right, but that's my guess. People tell me different things. I'm more biromantical than panromantical, although I don't think the persons biological gender matters.

Reminds me of kids that go, "Candy is yummy!" Those kids that say that with candy in their mouths. Yeah. Them.

that's about the easiest way to say it. they are similar but one difference is a pansexual would also be attracted to someone who is, say intergendered, meaning they don't feel that they fall into either male or female and are perhaps a mix of both. it's complicated... crying
i often switch between the two terms (bad i know) depending on the people im talking to (like those in my school stare ). but im actually pan(sexual...lol).

Pretty interesting; I see what you mean.

So, a pan is the slut of non-sexuality? xp *KIDDING!*
