Ahem. ninja
Here is the place to thunder out all your suggestions for the guild and newsletter.
So. To input your input, reply here with either newsletter content ideas (for example, an article on astrology) or ideas as to new features for the guild (for example, a letter around the world).

For every person who submits content that gets published, or their idea gets used they will receive one lotto ticket and 100 gold. ^^ Everyone who submits an idea will go into a draw to win 5k. The winner will be announced via random number generation, and this decision is final. Good luck!
(The raffle will occur when the next issue comes out - that's February. If your idea gets published however, you will immediately acquire the 100 gold and 1 lotto ticket. February's issue should see a few ideas being added.)

Awesome!
Well, our main problem is getting the ideas and "theme" for each issue. Each issue needs to have:- Main Article (e.g. This issues was Telepathy, before that it was Dream Catchers, and before that the academy.)
- Advertisements, buzz topics, contest winners, member birthdays.
- Member Material (art work, poems, reviews, stories: anything.)
- The Fool's Journey (Tarot Card info.)
- One from the 'other' category: reviews, useful sites, gossip, Sabbats, rants etc. Soo, what would be great is some ideas for next issues main article, and probably some help with writing it. ^^
Hannah, I'll take up your offer of proof-reading. ^^ It'd be fantabulous.
Any others that are wanting to take part, we need something from the "other" category... Any suggestions?

Maybe for 'Other', we can write an article on celebrating sabbats subtly? Like, I know some people can't do a full ritual (parents, etc.) so the article could give suggestions for alternatives - I know that one way ostara was celebrated was by planting things on the day - there must be other things, as well as general things, like take a walk, and look around - find evidence of the changes taking place.
@Txtbabe: Do feel free to submit any poems that you'd like to at all! n_n

How about adding a thought for the month.....
And/or each month an excercise for everyone to do, like for energy play, connecting with the elements or strengthening psychic abilities.... something fun with a thread where everyone can write about their experiences. Hopefully everyone would learn something new.

How about a word of the month... kind of educational.... you know a word that could be associated with Wicca but not nessacarily.... but yeah that is my 2 cents lol for right now

Okay - guess I better get the raffle sorted out then. smile
Edit: All done. ^^ You now all have ticket numbers. These go towards the draw of winning 5k. This draw will happen about a week after the next newsletter has been published. Others can still aquire tickets by submitting ideas though!

Edit: Actually, I was wondering, in regards to the newsletter (and I'd like to hear what you guys think) - what if we had two newsletters - a small one that came twice a month, and was purely about the guild, and a newspaper, which came once a month, and had lots of articles about Wicca. We could probably set it up (and I can do this, Jen wink You've already had to do it once) so that those who are friends of The_Blessed_Mule get the newsletter, and those that are friends of Blessed_Scribe get the newspaper. Dunno - that's just something I've been wondering about. What are your thoughts?

Jess, this is a fantastic ideas. One could be a guild update and the other could be sort of a teaching guide to lead people to our academy. You know teasers to what we have available.
Also I was wondering if it would be alright if I could start a thread on Edgar Cayce in the academy. I could update it one a week. Let me know. He was such an interesting person and alot of his information would be helpful to the guild.

Meditation is important to circles and concentration because it allows the mind to focus. However many people have a very hard time understand meditation or what they are supposed to do to get themselves down to that wavelength to be in full meditation. An article on different types of mediation, tips on how to relax, and visual exercises to meditate and talk to the God and Goddess would be a great article to see.
