.: POKEMON OC TRAINER EVENT!!! :. Heyo ladies and gents! It's time for another event here at the TMK Pokeversary event! Our good friend, Toushin, has been kind enough to offer up her uber-amazing artistic skills for this next, incrediable event! (You should all bow down to her awesomeness XO) So, in light of the fact we're running a pokemon themed event here this month, Toushin came up with a rather ingenious idea! Coming up with your very own Pokemon Trainer! What we mean is like, if you could have the perfect pokemon trainer, what would they look like? Why do they want to be a pokemon master? What's the point of this you ask? Well, with the entries, Toushin will be drawing art for the top four trainers! That's right! The grand prize will be a full body portrait of your character with not just one.. BUT SIX pokemon of your choice? Isn't that awesome? ... I think so! So get out your notepads, pencils and paper, whatever you need to do to start working out the details of your character and post it in the guild under Toushin's OC Trainer thread! (We don't want to overload her Inbox.. and we don't want to lose anyone's entries in the main thread!) Here's some things that we're looking for! NO ANTHROS PLZ! - Human trainers only! Pokemon world doesn't have anthros! ONE ENTRY A PERSON! Legendary Pokemon cannot be chosen as a part of your top six, sorry! If you win you cannot request to have something else drawn. It is ONLY your OCs you are entering. If you win you cannot badger Toushin about the art. She's doing this for free and will do it on her own time! You have to post a picture of your Gaia avatar dressed as accurately as you can get it of your trainer along with your entry or it'll be ignored. You don't have to wear the outfit the entire month, but you do need to include this.
The event will last until the end of September and will be judged by Toushin so don't feel any rushing!
Name: Age: Gender: Height : Weight : General Appearance: Personality : History: (Be sure to include why they want to be a pokemon master in here!) Trainer Type: (What kind of trainer are they -- do they specialize in only water Pokemon, are they all around, what? Let us know!) Top Six Pokemon: (And why you they were chosen!)
If you want to include any art of the character for reference, please feel free to do so! Avatar edits and the like are okay too! biggrin And here are the prizes! :O GRAND OVERALL PRIZE: The winner gets a full body pose of their OC trainer along with the six Pokemon they chose! This will be colored!
FIRST PLACE: First place gets a full body pose of their OC trainer along with three Pokemon from their list of six. This will be colored!
SECOND PLACE: Second place gets either a full body Black and White pose or a colored half body shot along with one Pokemon of their choice from the list.
THIRD PLACE: Third place will be a bust colored or BW half body along with one Pokemon of their choice from the list. See Toushin art @ http://toushin.deviantart.comhttp://meetthefantasy.com -- Will be up and running within the week!

Name: Rebecca Olivia Warner Age: 12 Gender: Female Height : 4'8" Weight : 78 pounds General Appearance : Short. And she knows it. Her dimunitive size is from her mother's side of the family. (Though her father's no giant, himself) Glaring red eyes, which she hides behind sunglasses most of the time. Although she's not a slob, by the end of the day, her hair gets very messy and disorderly. She puts it up to try to prevent this from happening, then covers it with a red bandana (Though that's probably the reason it looks so bad when she takes it off). Her pokeball belt is hidden right behind her shirt, and fits loosely around her waist. She can easily grab them when she needs to. Long, slightly baggy red pants are usually what she likes to wear. Even with these on, she's good at running. They don't seem to get in her way at all. She usually has on boots, but will occasionally go bare-footed when she feels like it. Personality : Rebecca is quick for her age, making up for the fact that she's tiny. She is also quick-footed, beating most of her classmates in gym. There are few things that really set her off, but surprisingly, being called short or tiny isn't one of them. It does bother her that she's short, but sooner or later she's going to get taller. But deep inside her, she wants to be better. She wants to be strong, to prove to everyone that just because she's short doesn't mean that she isn't as good as them. But even that's not good enough. She wants to surpass everyone, just to be able to say it was worth it all in the end. Mentally sound and secretly caring, she is usually serious. Even when she's not battling, she acts as if life is one giant battle. And she intends to win. History: Rebecca was usually picked on because she was small. But they soon gave up, as it didn't seem to faze her at all. She already knew what she was going to do, regardless of what they said, or how tiny she was. In fact, they ended up making her even more determined to be the best than she had been before. For years she'd thought of becoming trainer, though it had seemed so far away. Then, when she was ten, it was time for her to start moving toward her dream. So she did, after her father gave up the Houndour that he had never used (with a little coaxing from her mother). Excited because she was leaving Lavaridge Town for the first real time since she was born, Rebecca almost made the cable car fall down when she began jumping on it. From then on, she was a little bit more careful while she was standing in any form of transportation. Trainer Type: Specializes in Dark and Fire types, though won't pass up an opportunity for a strong Pokemon. She strives to catch all of the two types, even the hybrids. The little girl has only been at it for a couple of years, but she is a fair trainer already. Trying to stop her Pokemons' obvious disabilities when it came to type, she trains them hard so that they will be able to win battles against stronger Pokemon. Top Six Pokemon: Houndoom- Was orginally a Houndour, and her first Pokemon. The one that she'll always pick above all the others, as it's saved her life more than once. Charmeleon- Captured after an intense battle, Charmeleon was her second Pokemon. She'd found it right after it had evolved, so it was too cocky and was beaten. Umbreon- One of two Eevees that she obtained when she and her friend found four abandoned outside of a Pokemon Center. At first it was afraid of her, but they began to form a friendship. One night while fighting another trainer, it evolved. Flareon- One of two Eevees that she obtained when she and her friend found four abandoned outside of a Pokemon Center. Unlike its sibling, this one dislikes Rebecca. An 'accident' made it evolve (The Eevee took her newly-bought Fire Stone). It will actually listen to her when she brings along her Umbreon, so she keeps the two of them together. Sneasel- More like Rebecca's best friend then her Pokemon. Aside from Houndoom, this is her favorite. Probably because it actually does what she says it should. Even though it will sometimes ignore orders, the end result is better than what Rebecca could have thought of. Torkoal- They have a mutual relationship. Neither likes or dislikes the other, so Rebecca will sometimes play jokes on it, and it will sometimes shoot her with ashes to make her stop. It works.

# Name: Krysta Collins # Age: 14 # Gender: female # Height : 5'5" # Weight : 120lbs # General Appearance: See avatar # Personality : Determined and kind. Hates injustice and those who use pokemon as mere servants or weapons # History: Her mother and father died when she was very young, and was put under the care of her elder sister. She always had an eye for pokemon, and was able to befriend a houndour that had been abandoned by its original trainer. One night when they were out walking two drunken Team Rocket members jumped them and proceded to beat the elder sibling, and later on in the hospital she died. Since then she swore that she would defend all people and pokemon from the menace that is Team Rocket, but to do so she would need to become stronger, and there is nothing stonger then a Pokemon Master. Nowadays being a master is her main goal, seeing as she herself cannot eradicate the Rockets on her own, but still thrashes a few of them any chance she gets # Trainer Type: At first glance she seems to be all around, but she does specialize. All her pokemon were abandoned, abused, or given to her by trainers that didn't want/couldn't take care for the creature anymore. She has yet to catch one on her own. # Top Six Pokemon: Houndoom- Krysta befriended this pokemon when she was very young after it was trown out by its original owner. It now serves as her bodygaurd and dislikes Team Rocket as much as she does, seeing as he was there when the Rockets got to her older sister. Gardevoir(Star)- Star was found in the woods, hurt and alone as a Kirlia. After nurturing her back to health, Krysta let her choose whether or not she would want to join the human, and after a while Krysta found the pokemon following her. Star is the brains and sensitivity of the group, and often comforts Krysta when she is down. Feraligator(Dundee)- Dundee was found was a croconaw, a very angry fellow who was ditched by his trainer. Though while respecting his space, Krysta realized that he wasn't the sharpest tack in the box, so she desided to keep an eye on him for a while. An Nidoking ticked the pokemon off and he tried to attack him and was about to be desimated when an overprotective Krysta took the blow and got hurt badly. When she came to the pokemon was there, and has been with her ever since. Still having a slight temper, Dundee is the brawn of the team. Scizor(Misho)- Misho was a Scyther with a loving trainer, but had to be given up because they could not afford to keep it anymore. Krysta traded the trainer for an empty pokeball, and when she let it out, the Metal Coat pendant that he wore made him evolve. Krysta cares deeply for Misho, but the creature acts like he couldn't care less about her, though when she battles with him or gets injured it seems like a different story entirely. Grovyle(Razor)- The only pokemon that hasn't evolved for her yet. Razor was kicked out by his owner after getting replaced by a medicham for contests. Becoming suisidal, the pokemon was about to throw himself off a cliff before Krysta and gang saved him. Grateful for saving his life, he agreed to tag along, though he still is self-doubting. Flaffy(Gemstone)- Gem was given to Krysta by as a Mareep by a sick little girl to take care of until she got better. However that never happened, and after her death the parents gave Krysta full custody. They seem to get along well enough, though she still misses her original owner, which limits her concentration. Edit by Toushin: Please provide an image of your trainer avatar dressed up as best as you can get to it! Thank you! EDITED-Sorry about that

# Name: Aeryn Eckert Dage # Age: 15 # Gender: Female # Height : 5' 4" # Weight : 135 # General Appearance: Short, but well proportioned. Aeryn has silver hair, which she's actually rather proud of, but she usually wears a hat, simply because she likes to keep the sun out of her eyes. She hates being cold, so she usually wears warm clothing, even when it's fairly warm out. But she likes to be able to move freely, and she likes to travel, so all her clothing is durable, and easy to move in. Her pokebelt is bright red, and easily visible against the dark colors she likes to wear. She has blue eyes, and likes to wear a pair of slim glasses to shield her eyes from bright sunlight. # Personality : Aeryn is an extremely enthusiastic person. Especially when it comes to pokemon. She thinks they're extremely interesting, and likes to study them to the point where people ask if she she's a poke researcher. However, Aeryn is a wanderer. She always wants to be on the move, seeing new things, meeting new pokemon, and meeting (and battling) new trainers. Aeryn knows this, and says that combining her love of pokemon, and her desire to travel, a pokemon trainer is the perfect job for her. Sometimes, however, Aeryn can be too enthusiastic. For example, upon receiving her first pokemon, she immediately headed out, forgetting to pack clothing, food, water, medicine, potions, and other stuff she'd need on the road. Once she has a goal in mind, she has to be careful not to jump the gun, and prepare carefully for whatever the goal is. In part, researching pokemon has really helped her out, since, when she's in a tight spot, she'll think of something she's learned from her research to help her out. # History: Aeryn was raised on the knee of her grandfather, who was a well regarded trainer in his day. She'd spend evenings listening to him tell stories of his battles, the pokemon and people he'd met, the gym leader battles he's gone through, sometime winning, sometime losing, and about his own pokemon, most of whom had passed on, and now rested on Mt. Pyre. This is probably where Aeryn inherited her wanderlust, since she'd often tell her Grandpa that she'd go see for herself some of the places he'd been to. Aeryn's Father and Mother were both research assistants at the nearby Pokelab. When it was time for Aeryn to go to school, her Mother and Father often taught her themselves, letting her sit in on lectures, or accompany them on forays into the long grass to find wild pokemon in their own habitat. Aeryn was fascinated by every pokemon they met, even the common Rattata could enthrall her for hours on end, because she'd remember her Grandpa's tales about running from a horde of Rattata when he'd accidentally disturbed their meal. When she was 12, Aeryn decided it was time to set out on her own. Her Mother and Father gave her a pokedex to help her on her journer, her Grandpa gave her a young ponyta, the last of his old pokemon. The young, fire pokemon had a spirited temper that complimented Aeryn's, and she named him Journey in honor of the occasion. Aeryn started her travels, and at first, she was happy just to catch new pokemon, battle, and make new friends. Thanks to her research on each pokemon she caught, and the fact that she got along really well with her pokemon, they did really well in all the battles they entered. While resting at a pokecenter a few nights after successfully rescuing some pokemon eggs from a Team Rocket raid, Aeryn let her team of five, at the time, out of their poke balls, and asked them if they'd be willing to try for Pokemon Champion with her. While she loved just traveling with them, she thought that they could do great things together, like fight Team Rocket, and that if they'd beat the Champion, they could really make an impact. Her pokemon agreed, and they promised each other to do their best to reach the Elite Four, and the Champion. # Trainer Type: Aeryn has a special place in her heart for fire pokemon, they were the type her Grandpa specialized in, and Journey, her first pokemon was a fire type. There's also the fact that, for a person who hates to be cold, fire pokemon are very nice to sleep against. However, Aeryn has done too much research to stick to just one type of pokemon. When you get down to it, each type of pokemon is amazing in their own way. To this end, while Aeryn will go out of her way to catch fire pokemon, she also appreciates other types, and tries to balance out her party so that everyone's weaknesses are covered. # Top Six Pokemon: Journey (Rapidash) Her first pokemon, and a great companion. Journey usually serves as a means of transportation, but he's not to be taken lightly in a battle since he and Aeryn work together so well. He's high spirited, and has a great sense of humour, often acting as a mediator when the more volatile members of the team get argumentative. Flare (Charizard) Flare is one of those volatile members. While she's a strong fighter, and takes direction from Aeryn in battle, she's headstrong, and tries to boss around the other team members, some of whom don't appreciate it. However, she considers each of the team members to me her friends, and will do anything to help them out when they're in a pinch. Aeryn keeps her on the team for her loyalty, the fact that she can fly with her, and because she loves fire pokemon in general. She captured Flare when she was a charmeleon in the wild. Sylph (Gardevoir) A calm, benevolent pokemon that Aeryn caught at the foot of Mt. Pyre as a Ralts, when Aeryn went to pay her respects to her Grandpa's departed pokemon. Sylph is a graceful fighter, very intelligent, and is somewhat of a security blanket for the rest of the team in stressing times. Sylph actually asked Aeryn to be kept on the team, because she didn't like the idea of being stuck in a pokecenter when she could be offering her support to her friends. Aer (Pupitar) The other volatile member of the group. Aeryn had the good luck to catch Aer right after he had emerged from the ground as a Larvitar. He was so cute, she couldn't resist. For the most part, Aer is a very stoic, solemn pokemon. However, he loses his temper easily, and Flare's frequent bossy episodes rub him exactly the wrong way. However, he's quite dependable in battle, and in tough spots, acting as a shield for other members of the party if need be. Song (Lapras) While traveling by the beach one evening, Aeryn heard a faint song on the water, close to shore. Curious, she risked swimming out a bit, and found Song singing an almost heartbreaking tune. Aeryn couldn't bring herself to capture Song at first, so she left to do some research on the sad pokemon. Her research revealed that Lapras sing to try and locate other members of their kind, but they're very rare, so they usually don't find any others. Aeryn went back the next evening to ask Song if she'd accompany her on her journeys. It was a long shot, but, surprisingly, Song agreed, and soon became a constant member of the team. Song is perhaps the most mysterious of the group. While she always seems a little sad, she has no problem taking part in battles, and likes to spend a lot of time with Sylph, who seems to cheer her up. Aeryn can't quite figure her out, but hopes that someday she and Song will gain a strong bond, and find more Lapras. Quetzl (Dratini) The baby of the group. At the time the first five team members made their promise, Aeryn was carrying Quetzl's egg around, having rescued it from a Team Rocket attack a few days earlier. It was partly the successful rescue that got Aeryn thinking about trying for the Championship. Quetzl is young, rambunctious, and overly-eager to help out his team mates. When he heard of the promise the six had made, he immediately vowed to do the same, and has made good progress in his training. Most of the other team mates are fond of him, even if he tends to get himself into trouble at times.

Name: Riley Daima
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Height : 5' 9"
Weight : 117lbs
General Appearance: As is typical for dancers, Riley is a very slender girl. She has no real chest to speak of, and is mostly all leg. Her arms are also long, but the length of her legs averages it out so she doesn't look odd. Her hair is silky black, and although it used to be long and straight (and normally bunned), since her injury, she has cut it very short in the back, leaving bangs in the front, which she spikes up. Her legs and arms, naturally are very toned.
Riley is of Egyptian decent, and the rest of her features, as well as her hair, are dark. Her skin is a dark tan color and her eyes are dark chocolate and narrow.
Her friends always told her she had a unique sense of style. Even though her features are dark, she doesn't try to lighten them by wearing bright clothes. Her favorite outfit is a long black skirt, with a short plaid green skirt over top and a form fitting black tank top. She tries to keep her upper arms uncovered and loose clothes on her legs to allow for free movement, for when she suddenly feels like kicking up her legs or dancing. On her right arm, she wears a black, elbow length glove, with the fingers of it cut off and on the left arm she wears a similar one, but shorter and green.
Around her wrist, over the black glove, she has a wide strip of leather covered in various buttons. She wears a dark purple choker necklace, as well as a piece of jade in the shape of a rose bloom on a chain around her neck. In her ears are small pearl studs, a gift from her grandmother. She normally wears her much worn, light pink practice shoes. When her leg starts to hurt, she switches to sturdier black shoes.
Personality : Riley is solemn and silent, but normally easy to laughter. When there are good friends and an enjoyable atmosphere, she is cheerful, but reserved. If she is by herself or with a few others and not much is happening, she lapses into a pensive silence. While she makes the best of her life, and enjoys what it has given to her, in her heart she knows it's not what she had envisioned for herself, nor what she even wanted, and when things are particularly hard, she loses herself in her own little world.
History: The first time Riley saw a ballet preformed (Cinderella), she knew she was destined to be a dancer. It stirred powerful emotions in her, even as a child, and she cried at the beauty and grace of it, although she was only 6. She was enrolled early in dance classes, and although she continued to love the fluid movements and grace of ballet and the complex footwork of tap, she took immediately to jazz. She loved the music and the energy and how it seemed so happy and upbeat in expression. She continued to study all three, and excelled at them, but when she turned 14, she started to focus on jazz specifically.
Soon she was in the top of the class and her family knew, and her instructor expected, her to go on to become a great dancer. She was anticipated to go to the finest dance school in Cerulean City. Near the end of her 16th year, however, tragedy struck, in the form of a compound fracture, resulting in a metal rod being placed in her leg. Riley was told it would be unlikely for her to ever be strong enough to dance again. Under her skirt, she still wears a brace when she needs it, but tries to go as long in the day without it.
Riley was devastated. The only thing in life she had loved had been dashed away from her, with little hope of gaining it back and she almost lost herself in a state of depression, when a nurse in the hospital gave her a strange object, which was, of course, a pokeball. The nurse said she had originally gotten it for her son, but he had not seemed interested when she brought it home, and maybe it would help Riley with her healing. As dancing had been her whole life, Riley had never given any thought to the strange creatures that roamed the towns, and had never heard of their trainers.
The dark haired teen didn't even know how to open it, and would hold it and stare, feeling she was holding something special. An hour later, her hand brushed the latch and a Ralts popped out. Her shriek attracted the attention of an aspiring 10 year old trainer. The little girl told the older one about the world of pokemon, the different types, how they evolved and how some trained theirs to fight in battles.
The young hospital bound trainer would visit Riley while they both remained there. Riley spent her days gaining her new pokemon's trust and was soon having mini battles with the girl, Sarah. Her new friend was released from the hospital a month after her, and the two decided to pair up and travel and become masters.
At first, Riley was not as determined as Sarah to become a master, and secretly hoped that the travel would help her leg become strong enough so she could take up dancing once again. As she traveled, she learned more and more about the pokemon and started to see the beauty in them and how interesting they were and her desire to train them increased.
Trainer Type: Riley mostly specializes in water and fire pokemon, although her first was a psychic. She sees the water as symbolizing her dancing in its fluidity and the fire as her new passion. She hopes to gain some more Grass types and some Bug types as well, to make her team well rounded.
Top Six Pokemon: (Riley named all her Pokemon after Ballets.) Kirlia (Giselle) - Riley's first pokemon, which started as a Ralts. She loves how Giselle looks like a dancer, and almost always uses her first in battles, because she loves the mirages she conjures up.
Vaporeon (Circe) - Sarah and Riley came across a small, weak eevee when they just started out. Although Sarah caught it, she gave it to Riley, noticing how wide eyed she got when she saw it. After the Eevee grew and gained strength and trust, Riley bought a Water Stone and the Eevee became a Vaporeon. Circe is normally her second in battle.
Slugma (Orpheus) - The first pokemon she caught on her own. Riley loves the adorable little ball of fire and wants to cuddle him all the time. Sarah makes fun of her for keeping a Slugma, since she thinks he looks goofy.
Oddish (Rhapsody) - The second pokemon Riley caught on her own. She had been looking for an Oddish since she found out that one of its stages looks like a dancer. In between traveling time, when Riley and Sarah were resting, she would bring out Rhapsody and the two would play, with Rhapsody mimicking Riley's small dance moves. The Oddish is very close to her, and is the only one who can cheer her when she starts to drift into her own world.
Growlithe (Carmen) - Carmen was the third Pokemon that Riley caught. This one, she found out, was far harder then the Slugma and Oddish and took longer for her to catch. Carmen (as well as Ponyta) is still new and Riley is learning about what it can do.
Ponyta (Apollo) - When she laid eyes on the Ponyta, she knew she had to have him. It took all four of her exhausted Pokemon to catch the Ponyta, but to her, it was worth it, to watch Apollo run. She has quickly gained his friendship, as she lets him walk beside her in their travels. Riley loves to watch him gallop in circles around her. He has even started to allow her to ride him, and it made the longer journeys easier on her leg.((As a side note, it won't let me equip the neck ribbon (for the choker) and the jade pendant at the same time. >< ))

Name:Saara Moretti Age:19 Gender: Female Height: 5'5 Weight: 120lbs General Appearance:short red hair the tips of the bangs dipped in black, her left bangs slightly longer than right bangs. Black bucket-hat with three purple straight, horizontal stripes and two bucles, one on each side of the hat. Only her two bangs can be seen. Blue eyes. Purple t-shirt with a luxury ball on it. A basic black tie. Black fingerless gloves. A white belt, black pants with a purple skirt overtop. Basic black sneakers. Personality:Saara is extroverted and outgoing. She isn't afraid of drawing attention to himself and she doesn't worry about what other people think of her. She tends to be relaxed and laid back about most things, quicker to joke than to stress over problems. She is also very physical, and doesn't think twice before ruffling someone's head or leaning on them. One of the bigger flaws in her personality is her tendency to lack tact or manners. Though there doesn't appear to be much doing on in her head, she is actually very bright, though she applies this mostly towards schemes and pranks. She has the ability to be very charming when she wants to, which greatly aides in her elaborate manipulations of the system. Of course, underneath everything, she does get lonely once in a while. History:Growing up, Saara was always the class clown, very little friends but many admirers for her attitude and personality. Her father was always away on business of some sort, and her mother was always out of the house with one of her friends or visiting her father. With this family condition, Saara assumed the position of both parents, making sure the house was clean and making sure the bills were sent off, as her parents simply left them on the table. Being so independent, at the age of 16 she took her Espeon, Pidgey and Roselia (her only pokemon at the time) and went off to find a job. After a few days of searching and staying at pokemon centers for the night, she found a job of cleaning the gym after hours in the next town over from hers'. Still being able to go to school in this semi- close distance, she graduated high school before moving on. At the age of 17, she was now completely independant and looking for something to do one Saturday morning before work, she found a Pikachu lazing about when she decided to have her first pokemon battle. She successfully captured the pokemon before rushing off to the pokecenter, no need to let the cute sparkplug suffer, after all. She now lives in that very same town, but instead of cleaning the gym, she now works there as one of the competition. People to beat before you could get to the gym leader. If Saara loved anything, it was her pokemon, and her job. "Who's next?"Trainer Type:Saara isn't a trainer, as in 'she wants to train to be the best'. She's a trainer to gather more pokemon that she can connect with, like gathering friends. Top Six Pokemon:1- EspeonEspeon was Saara's first pokemon, and most loved. Though she wont admit to liking one pokemon more than the rest. Espeon was given to her by her father at a young age and soon became her best friend. Espeon is usually seen walking beside Saara, or riding around on her shoulders or in her arms. 2- PigeottoSaara found Pigeotto as a young Pidgey, wounded in the forest while she was walking to school. She watched as all the kids ignored it as they walked past, but she quickly picked it up and backtracked to the nearest pokemon center to get it healed. The Pidgey became one of Saara's pokemon willingly, and Saara missed the entire day of school. 3- PikachuPikachu was the first pokemon she had caught in an actual pokemon battle, using Espeon, she had thought that the pokemon was cute and liked its spunky personality. Together the two fool around when there's nothing else to do but play. 4- RoseliaBecause of the poison in the Roselia's thorns, this pokemon was given to Saara a few years earlier as a gag gift from someone who disliked her ways of acting. Saara didn't get the 'gag' and loved this pokemon as much as all her others. 5- empty6- empty
