Only for 14 days though...cause I was semi-rude about having my auction taken down so unexpectedly. It was early in the morning when I read the message and I wasn't thinking.
Whatever.

And actually I just read my email...it is JUST because of the artwork, and because I based it off of a photograph. Which seems weird to me, is it a bad thing to use a reference? I guess I understand, but it seems kind of a**l, and I really wish somebody who was farmiliar with the subforum would have told me so I could take it down myself.
I don't have mod rights so I can't really put up the things for the member of the month, but I can still get the vote started for the new mod position. After I get out of class.

Because my sample was an illustration drawing that I did based off a photo. That is considered copying I guess. I had NO idea.

Maybe next time you Have an auction, Have a Gaian item in the Main Links or something, so they can't Immediately ban you without Proper Proof.

Wow, I didn't think of that, for it to be copyright infringement. You have to admit you did make a really good likeness though. heart Or was it just that photo-based art isn't allowed in the auctions categorically, regardless of who took the picture?

I have no idea.
But I honestly thought that it was different enough. I mean it is a completely different media, and unless you had the thing it was based off of I don't really see how one could connect the dots...besides the fact that I didn't realize using references was bad.
@Icey - Well I got the warning and I wrote back and then I was banned for what I was warned about, so I really don't know.

Dude, you need to complain... that's extortion of mod powers! ...hehe, ok, not extortion... that's probably not even the right word... ...but YEAH! mod power abuse, 'tis what I say! That's like me going and banning Ein simply because he disagrees with me on occasion... it just doesn't happen that way evil
