I've been hearing that a Metronome will make you play better, and you get a sense of rythm. But I still don't really understand, how exactly it suppose to do this?

Have anyone tried using one?

I wouldnt say it makes you play better it does hep you keep your time but there are other ways toi keep the rhythm like drums in a band and trhe bass and rhythm guitar and just countingin your head all that i own a metroonome but i wouldnt recommend them for everyone they are a little bit helful.

Metronomes do a couple of wonderful things: they keep you in time when you play (Provided you make the effort to play with them when you practice) and they also give you a benchmark to work from.

If you're working down some scales, you really want to practice with a metronome if speed is your goal. If you work with the metronome it will really clean up your playing as well, since you're trying to hit all the downbeats cleanly and effectively ( using a clean tone really helps too. I know you can hear a lot more mistakes this way, but that's the point).

It really helps. Exsepcially when Jamming and improvising with friends. It gives you a groove.

I only use mine if it's hard to keep up the beat to a certain song while playing

i am not trying to brag or anything like that but, i have never used a metronome, i have an internal one, so i can pick up on the timing just like that.

I have a good feeling that your timing could still be improved by a metranome. Or Dr. Beat. Those things are a good deal of fun to have around regardless.

You could easily do without one if you have rythem. Just tap your foot. : x

Well, I'm lazy so I usually don't use mine (which is bad!).
But it does help a damn lot if you wanna improve for clean speed on scales and wanna keep track of your progress in that regard.

it helps you make notes even and things so i think it would help in scales and things, especially when playing fast. Also, if you're having trouble in a solo or something and its a lot of notes rly fast, you can do it slow using a metronome and slowly get it faster until its rly fast.
