Her sweet blue eyes were closed to the world, a serene smile playing upon her pretty maw. Colche was enjoying herself, the great baobab tree sheltered her from the extremes of the sun while it tainted her fur with the odd spot of sun warming her tan and black marked body.
Slowly those beautiful eyes opened just a slit peering out at the world. A little laughter came to her then, where were her boys off to today? Stretching out her dainty claws she yawned before doing a swift by eye search for her trins.
They were no wheer in sight as usual. Those boys, they always did wander off. She would be worried, byut they always looked after each other. She was blessed for that.

Long black and orange spotted legs moved through the grasses as two-toned eyes flashed in the sunlight. Korou wasn't sure where he'd just arrived, all he really knew was that it seemed nicer here than it had in the darkened dusk behind him.
Rubbing his right eye a little as it clouded over in its gaining attempts to refuse the gift of sight. It popped softly and cleared once again and the cheetah kept moving. He didn't want to stop to look around, he wanted to find Chopi before he went completely blind.
The soft sound of laughter reached his black ears and he looked gently in that direction. Two cubs caught his eyes and he smiled.

The slender femme peered through the long grass, her body was pretty well hiddenbehind it but she was still visable. It surprised her when a young cheetah came trotting her way and didn't even stop to say hello. of course it only took her a moment to realise whom the young male was.
"Korou!" She called over the whisper of the wind, her voice sweet, tender, loving, motherly. It had been so long since she had seen the youngster but he still looked the same, a little older perhaps but he was still the same Korou, his slanted walk and far too stoic gait of one so young made her sad, but at the same time, she was very pleased to see him. "Come here young man" she called a laugh in her voice now those happy blue orbs dancing as she got to her foot paws, just incase he couldn't see her through the grass.
Colche had changed a little since she returned to the coalition lands, she was more confident, much happier, there was a constant bounce in her step and her smile showed she simply felt safe. "It has been a long time" she puurrs her voice accompanied by a gentle puurr.

The adolescent's ear flicked up and he twisted his head to look over in the direction of the king cheetah female that was trotting his way. Lifting up his lame left leg, the male tilted his head to one side as his memory raced silently in an attempt to remember who he was seeing.
Then it clicked in his mind. "Colche!" He called out, instantly his legs sent him soaring over the grass to her side in a moment. The motherly cheetah was almost the same as he remembered her, with a little more confidence and a big smile to show for her time away from him.
Grinning and blinking his right eye for a moment to clear it, Korou bumped his head against her side and grinned. "How've you been? I haven't seen you in the longest time." He said with a grin, sitting down beside the slightly larger female.

Colche puurred softly grooming the young males cheek in an overly protective manner. Korou was a youngster she adored and had long wished he had stayed by her side, not as a mate of course, but she loved him as ason, nearlly as much as her own three infact. For a long silent moment she admired the young male she had known since cub hood and she laughed "You have grown tall Korou" she cooed her sweet baby blue eyes admireing the dark coat and deep orange markings.
Twitching her ears she looked deep in tot he young ones eyes her gaze still calm, gentle, happy, she could see his eye was not as it had been and she contemplated mentioning it, twitching her ear she nudged his cheek "I'v been fine and it seems you are getting on well despite this hmm?" That gentle smile danced in her eyes and she licked his cheek. "How is your chopi?" She laughed lightly, how could she possibly forget the name of the female that had stolen her little Korous heart. "You must bring her here, I need to meet the young lady" she puurrs her soft velvety voice echoing on the wind.
Out of no where a cub came bounding, his markings similar to colches if not the same, his eyes golden, his markings though faded were clearly of the king type. the youngster butted in to the older females legs and weaved between them "Mum, mum, you wouuldn't beleive what Akilli found, it was like hyooge and it had teeth on it's hands and a spikey butt, but then this meercat came and said it's a scorpien and ate it, and it was all like ewww." This little tyrade, without a pause in his sentence was interrupted when the golden eyed male realised there was somone else here. Tilting his head a little the king marked boy peered up at the other larger, darker male "hoo are you?" He puffs out his little chest looking brave "I hope you're not trying to hurt my mum cause me and my brothers will kick your butt!" he grins wriggling his tail about while eyeing korou suspiciously.
Colche laughed softly at the swift gabble of her eldest son. "He isn't here to hurt me Afiya" she coos licking the boys forehead "This is Korou, he's an old, very dear friend of mine" she smiles lightly her sweet blue eyes gently serene. "This is my son Afiya, I have no idea wheer his siblings are though, they are three little bundles of trouble." she laughs nuding Afiyas bottom with her nose. "go and find your brothers and tell them to come and meet korou okay."
The cub glances one more time at the dark male, still slightly suspicious. "Okay mum!" he grins and bounds off int he direction he came.

Licking Colche's forehead, Korou glanced down at the cub between her legs and smiled. To think that the cheetah he considered another mother to him had her own cubs at last made him smile. They were like little brothers to his big.
A laugh worked its way from his muzzle as he looked down at Afiya. The little one was like a mini Colche with fainter markings. Smiling at him Korou nodded his dark head to him and sat down.
"It's getting a little worse to be sure, but I'm not worried about it right now. If it happens it happens if it doesn't it doesn't." He smiled at her softy as he wagged his tail brightly. "She's doing great, right now she's at the den back near the jungle. She's been feeling a little sick in the mornings right now, that's part of why I'm out here, because I'm hunting. Gotta keep us both fed even if she's sick you know?"
Grinning wirely at her, Korou poked her in the shoulder with one of his white spotted paws, "Well of course you get to meet her. Why would I ever say no to you, or to that gorgeous cub of yours." He winked and watched the sandy little cheetah male run across the grasses to find his brothers.
"Three boys eh? Must be trouble."

The king marked female smiled sweetly, a soft breath escaped her and she smiled sweetly. "Yes, but they are my boys, I know they will take care of each other, i trust them" She smiles looking up at the aging Korou, he had certainly become a handsome young man, Colche copuld see whay he had a young female on his paws already. Lughing to herself about that she raised a brow at the mention of her being sick.
"I'm sure she'll be fine Korou" Colche made a mental note to expect Korou to appear with cubs in the near future, it sounded like the young males lady love was suffering from morning sickness. Giggling she sighed lightly gazing at the orange spotted male. "It is safer int he coalition lands Korou, you should bring her here especially if you are to have cubs."
The older femme shook her head, Korou was like a son to her, older than her own three, but to see him wouth cubs would make her feel like a grand mother. It would be a nice feeling to se ehim with a family. he deserved happiness.

"Well I hope she will be, we only just got close after we met up again. I would hate if something bad happened now." Korou said looking away for a moment in worry. His eyes shimmered even though he was upset and he turned back to Colche brightly as his long tail wagged like a rudder behind him.
"Your son is beatiful, I can see where he gets it though. Markings just like his mother even though he's lighter." Korou told her happily. "The others must be just as cute. As for the coalition idea... I've been mulling it around in my head for quite a bit now. Even though the den is fairly safe I still have my doubts you know."
Then he froze. Cubs? Did she know something he didn't? Korou wasn't exactly planning on having cubs... even if that had happened. It was actually a little bit of an accident but he didn't regret it... but cubs?

"yes all three are adorable" she chuckles and looks a little embarrassed, if she wasn't so attached to korou as a son she probably would have looked to the young male as a mate figure, he was ever so sweet. With a little sigh she stood and groomed his neck "It's safe here, the lions stay away and cubs are safe here."
The blue eyesd femme grinen dknowingly at the dark male, she wasn't a fool when it came to romances. She could spot love and a romance from a mile away "I'm sure you and your mate and cubs will be welcome here, where it's safe" The king marked femme puurred happily. Her little korou was certainly all grown up even if he was still the cute little serious cub she had known from all that time ago.

"oh Im sure. Cubs always are but yours should be even more so since they're yours." Korou said brightly, wagging his long tail again as he sat down and looked at his paws silently for a bit. "I'll ask Chopi about it then. I do want to come here and join, to keep her safe you know? But if she doesn't want to then there's no moving her."
Chopi could be a little mule-ish when she didn't want to do something. Laughing a little at the thought of how much his mate was just so... herself.
Turning his head he licked Colche's forehead softly and smiled, she was still so soft spoken and pretty. He was glad that she had more confidence and more spirit, she was even prettier for it. He did hope that she had a mate that would love her the way she deserved it, or at least that she would find one.

Colche laughs softly. "I see why your mate enjoys your company Korou, you have become a silver tongued rogue" her eyes danced playfully and she nuzzled his ears before looking around to check if her sons were coming back again. "they may be gone a while, they enjoy their adventuring" she puurrs.
With a soft sigh Colche turned those sweet blue eyes on the odd eyed youngster "You are very luky Korou and Chopi is tooto have a loving relationship and a mate, it's a wonderful thing." she smiled softly licking his nose one more time.
"Perhaps you should get going, she will be worried for your safty no doubt, I hope you do bring her here, I would like to meet your lover" she coos. Her little Korou was all grown up, she knew that, but she still felt protective of him if he would bring his mate here at least she could keep ehr eye on him. she did worry about the orange spotted male as a mother would a son.

chuckling gently, Korou nuzzled Colche back and smiled softly. "All cubs have to adventure. It's what makes them cubs." A nod worked its way from him as he looked off into the distance quietly.
"Thank you. I love her very much. And yes, of course I'll bring her to visit you here as soon as I can." Licking Colche's cheek one last time Korou stood up slowly and took a few steps in the direction he'd come from. "It was very good to see you again and congratz once again on your beautiful sons. Maybe the next time I come back to visit I'll be able to see them all rather than just the one."
A small laugh came from him as he waved goodbye with his tail and trotted silently off into the distance. Korou really did wish Colche the best of luck with all three of her boys, it almost made him want some of his own.

Colche sighed softly, watching the young male trot off in to the distance. he was almost like a son to her and she would always feel that way. A slight twang of jealousy touched her heart, he loved her, it was so sweet, the jealousy wasn't of course the wish for korou as a lover, far from it, it was simply a mother loosing her son. She felt protective of the dark orange spotted male.
Laughing lightly she sent a puurr after him "Good luck Korou, don't stay away too long okay?" smiling she turned to retreat back to the old tree where she slept with her sons.

The distance wasn't so far away before he'd stopped, adolescent paws hanging in the air. He'd always felt some way, some strange way about her. Of course it was something he would never have gotten long before, however he got it now.
It was a longing. He did love Chopi... but it was still there for Colche as well.
Shaking his head, Korou tried to rid himself of the thought. He was with chopi.. he loved Chopi...
Twisting himself back, Korou convinced himself of it.

Colche stood in silent vigil until korou vanished out of sight. A shiver ran down her spine she preyed that Korou would be safe and that he would come back to her one day. Her gentle paws screatched at the ground and she shook her head. She couldn't chase him, he clearly had someone to go to, someone to love out there, and she, well she had her sons to care for, to love and adore and she could not run off in to the sunset in search of a father figure in Korou. She had made her bed now she had to lie in it.
Smiling whistfully the small and slender female turned her back on the sunset clancing off in tot he distance, hoping to capture one last gliompse of her little korou. She preyed he would return one day, one day.
