For those of you who dont know what a promise book is, its a book with emotions/feelings etc, with verses and helpful info to help you deal. I, or other guildees will be posting some of these. You can buy promise books in many stores, especially christian stores like morning star or others. Or you can order online i'm sure. heres some topics we'll look into

Happiness

So we have been teaching our sunday school class about trust last couple of weeks so I thought of putting some verses about it up.
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this. Psalms 37:3-5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5,6
God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Psalms 46:1,2
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

I have had a hard time fighting temptation with things lately so I decided to put verses on temptation up.
"Happy is the man who doesn't give in and do wrong when he is tempted, for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life that God has promised those who love him." JAMES 1 VERSE 12
"And remember, when someone wants to do wrong it is never God who is tempting him, for God never wants to do wrong and never tempts anyone else to do it. Temptation is the pull of man's own evil thoughts and wishes." JAMES 1 VERSES 13 & 14
"When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created." JAMES 1 VERSES 13-18

In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

 That below where you typed from the book of James comes from Romans actually it's Romans 1:16-27 anyways heres a good one Ephesians 6:11-17 Wear the armor of God.wear Gods armor so that you can fight against the devil's clever tricks.Our fight is not against the people on earth.We are fighting agianst the ruler's and authorities and the powers of this world's darkness.We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places.That is why you need to get God's full armor.Then on the day of evil you will be able to stand strong.And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing.
So stand stronf wiith belt of truth tied around your waist, and on your chest the brest plate of righteouness on your feet wear the Good News ofpeace to help you stand stong. And also the shield of faith wwith which oyou can stop all the burning arrows that come from the Evil One. Accept God's salvation as your helmet. And take the sword of spirirt-that sword is the teaching of God. May God bless you all.
