Kso, you know the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy? And Billy's uncle, Nergal, lives in the center of the earth? Well, I was reading a book on the origin of clocks and calandars and such, and the Babylonians named 5 of their days of the week after stars. One was called Nergal, another was called Marduk.
Coincidence? Probably. But I think not anyway!! scream
Discuss:
Marduk may be some warped spelling of Murdoc.
Nergal is EEEEEVIL. Murdoc is pretty damn evil too.
Other Babylonian-related thingamajigs.

What's in your head ~
We started studying Mesopotamian civilizations in World Civ., and we worked on a chapter about the Sumarians yesterday. They mentioned Marduk a whole lot. xd I even accidentally blurted Murdoc in class.

I was watching Airplane! once with my mom and brother. Kareem Abdul-Jabar's character was Roger Murdoch, so when he said that, I yelled "MURDOC!" some other theories....
1.Murdoc was a bad guy on McGyver.
2.Murdoc backwards is "cod rum", that sounds nasty, he's nasty, and he drinks a lot(rum, perhaps?).

Murdoch's a Scottish name. Which prolly morphed into Murdoc. Somehow. Since th'bassist's Morgan Niccholls...well...
I've been to a place called Niccholl's villiage. I wos like 'OMZORZ!" an I wouldn't shut up 'bout it till my brother threw my brand-new plastic alarm clock out th'car window.
