They are going to digitally remaster the original Star Trek series and add modern special effects. It will then be re released in syndication

No I had not heard that, but they are making a TOS Star Trek manga.

Ooh. I have my doubts about how well it'll be pulled off, but I might check it out. I still haven't seen most of the original Star Trek episodes, even though I used to be really into TNG and DS9 when they were around.

yeah man! Even though I was just a little late for all the original releases, my older brother wasn't. He used to tell people I played one of the Ewoks. razz Then again he also told people I played the little sister in E.T. but that was before Drew Barrymore got popular. LOL.
But the original effects were great! I mean, who'd have thought to use a colored pencil to draw the guns' lazer beams?! Only George Lucas.
If you ask me, he's getting tired of coming up with new ideas and is trying to milk his big moneymaker for all it's worth.

why do I get a bad feeling from that idea. Hopefully the digitally remaster parts won't be as obvious as they were in Star Wars.

Like they did with Star Wars. Added sceens? I hate that they did that. They made Jabba seem not so evil with how he speaks with Solo.
(yes evil is lack of word... how can someone be nice then put a price on his head? wtf??)
