GENERAL
Despite his age (which is actually still young for a demon), Ru usually inhabits the body of a young male of 24 or a male child of 6. Although a Higher Demon and one of the best and most respected Parole Officers (his full job title being Demon Probation and Behavioural Officer) working for the Demon Guidance and Management Office, Ru has avoided promotion and greater public attention for his entire 400 year career with the service. His existance is somewhat considered a myth until people meet him in person.
Because of his shifting between two human bodies (that of adult and child) Ru is considered to be part of a trickster bloodline, but Ru never tells of his family or his past, so little is known about his true powers. But Ru likes to spend most of his time in his child form as it is the simplest way to keep his powers surpressed (but mainly because he thinks he looks so cute...). However, Ru is often forgetful about such things and forgets to change into his child like form or will suddenly switch from one to the other without realising.
In his childlike form Ru has the same silvery-white hair and light blue eyes, but his hair is much shorter and thicker about his head in an unruly mop (which, in Ru's opinion, makes him adorable).
PERSONALITY
Unlike most Demons and Devils who are around him in hell and his everyday work, Ru is kind hearted, gentle and extremely easy going, almost always having a smile on his face. However, despite this overtly kind and caring personality, Ru likes to tease people (but it is mostly a sign of affection). Ru likes anything cute, collecting stuffed animals and taking naps (whenever he can not be found, it is almost a garuntee he is asleep somewhere...).
CLOTHES
As a child he wears anything that makes him look cute (since he considers himself the cutest thing in the world, other than his brother, Fu). As an adult he dresses stylishly and smartly, but does not like anything close around his neck so usually wears his shirts at least half way open. Wears no jewelry.
SHORT STORY SUMMARY
After Demo is awoken in the basement of Christie's home and he uses his powers, the Office of Demon Commissions spot the activity and send their agent, a Devil named Violette to investigate. Ru finds out about all this fuss over this unknown demon and 'volunteers' himself as parole officer to the demon on earth (although this is less than an official appointment) and works with Violette in keeping a watchful eye on this new demon known as 'Demo'.
Ru takes up his position as parole officer (and more so, guardian) of Demo, taking residence in Christie's home and finding himself wrapped up in the explosion of events that follow Demo's awakening.
EXTRA INFO/SPOILERS
* Likes playing with (and teasing) Natasha, who has adopted him as her playmate. He more often than not steals Sebastian, her favourite stuffed toy, but makes it up to her later with bed time stories and other treats.
* Enjoys annoying Demo, especially while in his adult form around Christie, but usually finds the younger demon to be quite annoying and far to loud for his liking.

Although Ru is known as a powerful Demon and respected officer, he was once an Angel. Before his time in hell he was, with his brother 'Fu' two training Angelic Officers for the Order of Miracles, but during their trips to the mortal world, Ru found himself in love with a mortal woman. For such a crime, Ru was stripped of his angelic status and, as a fallen angel found himself in hell and the woman he had fallen in love with also punished. Ru's true name is Ruthiel and his slightly older (and only) brother is Furiath, the two adopting the pet names of Ru and Fu for one another.
After spending almost a hundred years in personal torment and feeling lost with his seperation from the woman he loved (who finally died in the mortal world) and his brother, Ru found himself at a lost. Eventually, he was appointed a few small jobs through the Office of Demon Commissions and quickly found the oppurtunities he had in his new life and adopted his childhood pet name from his brother, 'Ru' as his official name.
After a couple of hundred years, he found himself rising in ranks and earning respect enough to be appointed to one of their commissioned Parole Officers who could travel freely to the mortal world. After several hundred years, Ru used his new position to return to a normal life, finding himself once again amongst mortals made him happier than ever. And, thanks again to some of his time in the mortal world, Ru found his brother and now spends his eternal life trying to find a way to finally get his old life back and be re-united with his brother as an Angel.
Through Demo, Ru finds himself with the oppurtunity to 'earn his wings' once more and return to heaven. When news travelled of a Demon awakening in the mortal world, Ru was quick to find out who this Demon was and realised the oppurtunity open to him. It is because of such an oppurtunity that he insists on taking the post as Demo's guardian and parole officer and takes his role seriously, but finds himself more and more involved with Demo and Christie's lives than he ever intended.
* Because Ru is not, by blood a demon, his demonic form is almost average, closely resembling that of a lesser Devil. Thin and backward pointing horns, a few inches in length sprout from his head and black wings from his back. His hair, usually to his waist grows almost to his feet, his eyes turning almost as white as his hair.
* As an Angel, Ru's hair once again grew, his wings almost equalling his own height are made of soft white and silver feathers, a soft glow of silver eminates from the crown of his head.
* Because of his past experience with a mortal woman and, in short, caused her death, Ru disapproves of Demo's persuit of Christie, making attempts to stop anything developing between the two. But this could also be from jealousy...
