And I don't mean the general storyline of the books 'cause we all know how freaky they are... I mean, the things that just don't seem to fit.
Examples I have noticed to demonstrate my point;
In one book, within a two paragraphs, first it's spelt Dolf and then it goes back to Dolph. I can't remember which book but it was a later one after you already know that it's spelt Dolph.
One that stuck out blatantly to me, even the first time I read it, was in "Circus of the Damned"... How many noticed that after Anita's car got smashed up, she took a leisurely drive to meet someone to get a lift to meet Oliver, but the next day she mentioned that her car was out of action?
I know there are others but those two just stuck out at me at the time of my writing this. I'm not sure if it's Laurell K Hamilton's writing or the editors just not picking it up, but you'd have thought that someone would have noticed before the pressed the button marked publish. *chuckles*

I want to know how exactly Gregory and Stephen became Weres. They're twins, but they're both different animals. There's something not right with that. Just something my roommate brought up earlier today that we found weird.
I haven't read Circus of the Damned in a while, so I really don't remember the part you're talking about.

Maybe they both agreed to Gabriel and Raina's movies? ... Raina got Stephen and Gabriel got Gregory ... It doesn't really make for the happy thoughts though.

Their dad DID pimp them out... maybe he thought the movies were just even more money to make... Hmm. Something to think about, most assuredly.

Here are just a couple of the inconsistencies I have noticed. In Guilty Pleasures, Jean-Claude had told Anita that he killed the person who gave him the cross shaped scar, but in the Laughing Corpse Anita had wondered if he had killed the person who had given him the scar, and then she had thought to herself that if so, she didn't want to know.
In GP Dolph is described as 6'8", but in Circus of the Damned he is listed as 6'9" and in all the others he is listed as 6'8".
I have made it a habit to look for inconsisitencies in her books. It doesn't take away from the story for me, it is just kind of a game I play, sort of like find a word or where's waldo with LKH.

um... maybe Dolph had a temporary growth spurt? sweatdrop
Anita could have forgotten that JC had told her that. I mean, obviously Ms. Hamilton did.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but...
I was rereading a few parts of "The Lunatic Cafe" and "The Killing Dance" and... well... Did anyone else notice that Gabriel's n****e ring went from his left n****e to his right n****e and back to his left n****e during those two books? He makes an appearance in TLC and it's in his left n****e and he had all the rings in his ears. Then the first appearance he makes in TKD, the n****e is in his right n****e and the rings in his ears are gone. Then, when Anita is being forced into the snuff film, the n****e ring is back in his left one and the ring in his ears are back.
But, I know he could just be taking it out and putting it back in, but it doesn't seem like that. It's like the n****e ring is in his chest perma... but it just keeps jumping around. Weird.

Well, lycans can heal very fairly quickly, even with silver. Considering that and Gaberiel's preferred extracirricular activities, I'd assume he just takes out the piercings from time to time and re-pierces himself. It's what I'd do if piercing scar tissue didn't hurt like a biatch. ~seiko~

I've noticed some of these errors, or inconsistences. But mostly I notice spelling errors, which are all over the place! In the last book I read, Narcissus in Chains, she kept using the word "breathe" but spelling it "breath". She used the word wrong all the time. I'm a grammar nut so...I notice these things..

I've noticed a lot of the spelling errors in her books. I've read both the first editions that came out (lots of errors!) then the new editions (new covers) and those still have errors! sad...
Alright the thing I have to point out that in The Lunatic Cafe of something I found when Anita was trying to get past the officer who was outside the hospital door of the naga. You know how the book is in 1st person, well Anita said something about Officer Kirlin, using the officer's name. Then a moment later when Anita says something to the policewoman, she had to look at her nametag to see what the officer's name was! Just a small something I caught.
