Honestly? With the screw-ups BH and KA already did, I wouldn't put it past them to write something along the lines of..>

He walked over to the wall, and flicked a switch. Several projectors came on, and a shrill whistle, sounding like the one Scytale killed Idaho with, blared throughout the no-palace. And out of the depths, a creature so familiar to Sheena rose up, and crashed through the surface, like the Leviathan of the Old Bible. "A sandworm!" Miles Teg exclaimed. Scytale barked a short laugh. "A water worm, actually." -

I would so not put it past them to pull something like that. And then, different breeds of worms that can live on any planet.

mmhm in herritics and chapterhouse it tlaks about a worm being taken offworld but not much of it so perhaps they are playing on that plot. anyway Im a big fan and will read it none the less.

No. He messed it up. There were three independent machines: Erasmus, Omnius, and Seurat. Several others were mentioned, but not by name. And the whole point that the Orange Catholic Bible referred to was that the machines were like men. Not because of Omnius who was A thinking machine (singular), but the fact that the thinking machines- there were many of them.

And they have always missed the point of the original. Dune wasn't science fiction. It was a philosophy treatise on the neccessity of evil when controlling people in any shape way or form, not lasguns and cyborgs. Why do you think FH didn't accent so much on technology?

I'm not missing the point. I see and understand what you're saying... but there's a reason why all continuations of a great author suck. What they did was write fanfiction. The best person to continue Dune would've been a philsopher, not a science fiction writer.
